i tried to port sonic onto diddy kong but it just froze and yes i did use a sonic.rel
so idk what went wrong

well i saw a sonic hack that was ported only using an .rel

it was chaos fire sonic over olimar

Did you start with the Ike .rel or did you just use the same one as the Fire Sonic?

ok i got it to work but double jump doesnt work and up-B doesnt work

You need to make codes do that Diddy has Sonic's IC-Constants, which you can easily find that stuff to make the codes in the Clone Engine thread. Also, add the No Entry/Result Data codes for Diddy:

Diddy Kong No Entry
* 00AD804B 00000000

Diddy Kong No Result Data
* 00AD8083 00000000
