Title: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 16, 2011, 03:02:17 PM Is it possible to rip files from an ISO, edit said files, then re-insert them into the same game and have the game work?
I mean like what ForTheError(sorry if the names wrong) is doing with playing as Ooki in Okami I just want to try some stuff with CON 3 Revolution :) Once I get my REAL computer back at least =-=; Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Segtendo on October 16, 2011, 03:06:01 PM WiiScrubber says hi.
Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 16, 2011, 03:41:57 PM WiiScrubber says hi. I know how to get them OUT of the game. But I want to know how to get the files back INTO the game It's not brawl, it's Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 I bought the US version of the game so I could prepare a sound pack of lee's voices I want to edit models in 3DS Max and then re-import them back into the game, kinda like the SD loader works for brawl. Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Segtendo on October 16, 2011, 03:44:16 PM I know how to get them OUT of the game. Anyway, WiiScrubber -> right click -> replace Have fun trying to get stuff to work. Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: RandomTBush on October 16, 2011, 04:18:28 PM I'm not even sure if FPK files (like the ones Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Naruto: CoNR3 use) can be re-built properly. Or maybe I've just been out of the loop, and they can be now?
Either way, WiiScrubber lets you import replacement files if you're going to burn a new DVD, or just use Riivolution if you have a legitimate copy of the game. I think I'll just scale up a model of a character in brawlbox and not edit them in 3DS Max XD A giant Tsunade would be lolzy lol If I could get that to work anyway X_X Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 16, 2011, 08:59:44 PM I'm not even sure if FPK files (like the ones Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Naruto: CoNR3 use) can be re-built properly. Either way, WiiScrubber lets you import replacement files if you're going to burn a new DVD, or just use Riivolution if you have a legitimate copy of the game. I have a ligitimate copy of the English version and an ISO of the Europe/Japan version lol I just want to have some fun scaling the characters up in brawlbox is all. Nothing too fancy like playing X character's model over Y character ya know, maybe make like a "big hands/feet" sort of file replacement XD And yes, I mean like the infamous Big Hands/feet/head codes from the 64 games and even some gamecube games. Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: mnsg on October 17, 2011, 10:15:07 AM A user complained that my Mario Sports Mix hacks caused his game to crash. However, he was using a burned disc, instead of using either Riivolution, or a USB Loader program.
Either way, I have found the way to texture hack that game, but it does require people to hunt down an updated ntcompress.exe. Yeah, I was even able to decompress the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up models with that program, which is good. (No more flawed memory dumps!) Then it's safe to assume that TMNT: Smash-Up uses the LH compression as well. I don't own that game, so I wouldn't know. Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 17, 2011, 08:27:38 PM Is there a way to get the ISO image straight from a game disk?
when I pop my wii disk into my CD drive on my computer it comes up as a blank disk. Wii Scrubber doesn't see the iso when I go to that drive either... Most USB Loaders have that kind of ability, but you will need the Wii Backup Manager to convert the installed ISO into a .iso file. Does using this program harm the original game any? I'll probably try that once I get my computer back tomorrow. After I'm done reinstalling every single program I use :l UGH Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Ӄit ßallarɖ on October 17, 2011, 08:57:59 PM So if my increadibly noobish question is right, this will allow me to rip the ISO image from my game to the computer and copy it to a USB? using a USB drive that's been set up and the Wii program (I used USB Loader GX), you can copy a wii disk to the external then plug it into a pc then run this program. it'll let you extract/inject the game as you like. You can also choose how you want it. Like The whole disk, junk data removed, or Junk and Update sector removed,Does using this program harm the original game any? Can you link me to any sites where I can get one at a decent price? I know you're going to use the "Google" trololol but I've tried that before, most of the sites I've found are either out of stock or look like Amazon.com ripoffs :l This Seems like an aweful lot of trouble to get an ISO, but it definately seems a lot easier than searching thousands of dead links and the risk of computer viruses and such. Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Ӄit ßallarɖ on October 18, 2011, 08:51:16 AM No a USB hard drive and your wii to be set up to Run Games from it (since it needs the proper hooks). If you don't have that then you're not gonna get anywhere.
Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Tempo_ on October 18, 2011, 08:52:41 AM ...No, Kit never said anything about a USB Gecko. That's only required if you want to make codes and stuff.
In other words, you can use any USB Loader (to my knowledge) to rip a copy from your retail disc. Then you can use WBFS Manager to take that rip from your USB and move it to your PC (lolmac). Google for USB loaders trololol >:D Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 18, 2011, 09:50:58 AM Google for USB loaders trololol >:D lol you actually made me laugh (not outloud though XD) So I stick my usb stick into the usb slot of the wii? I'd probably need a pretty hefty usb then, like an 8 gb one. Can anyone get me a link to download the usb loader ap? trolol I'ma try google first, but if that fails I'ma need a link XP Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Ӄit ßallarɖ on October 18, 2011, 10:12:50 AM lol you actually made me laugh (not outloud though XD) You're gonna need a bigger stick (though brawl is an 8gig game...). also check the Brawl vault's resorces..So I stick my usb stick into the usb slot of the wii? Hm, so maybe a 16 GB one? I can't think of any game that would be more than 16 GB on the wii, except maybe Tales of Symphonia games. On the topic of getting a game ISO from scratch. I need. A 30 MB USB Card That App for the computer The GUI thingy you mentioned from the brawlvault. I feel like we're heading out of the grey area and going towards black. :srs: Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 18, 2011, 01:31:11 PM sorry, I meant a USB stick to plug into the wii....
I just need a checklist of stuff I need and maybe a quick step-by-step tutorial on what to do. And trust me, if I was overreacting it'd be a lot more than three scentances lol =3 As for getting the files back in the game, what kinds of glitches should I expect besides the beeep of doom? All I'm doing is editing the models a bit and playing around with the scale :) Nothing overly complex like what FTE is doing in Okami. Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: ForOhFor Error on October 18, 2011, 08:22:08 PM Any edits will likely mess everything up.
;D Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 18, 2011, 10:08:37 PM Any edits will likely mess everything up. ;D Oh....well I just happened to find a 2GB usb that I had left lying around in my room forever =-= I guess I'll try and figure out how to rip CON 3's ISO image on my own *sideglance* All I'm asking for is a text tutorial on what to do. If I'm just ripping the iso image from the cd, would it matter if I had everything unlocked in the game? :l Also, what do you mean by messing it up? If I'm just replacing files :l Like say I just wanted to replace a song file from the game with my own BRSTM? Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: mnsg on October 19, 2011, 12:51:53 PM You'll need more than a 2 GB USB device. A good deal of Wii ISOs use more than that when they're compressed.

If I'm just replacing files :l Like say I just wanted to replace a song file from the game with my own BRSTM? Why would it matter if you unlocked something or not? It's not like you're changing the files in the game. I messed up when I was replacing files in Mario Kart Wii. The whole image went bad, so I couldn't even boot it. Title: Re: Getting Files into Another Game :l Post by: Naruto200Man on October 23, 2011, 04:00:01 PM I managed to find an english con 3 revolution ISO :D
Now to get the collada plugins to work properly on 3DS Max 8 =-=; |
