Title: Vertexing with Blender Post by: Aerodrome on November 08, 2011, 12:56:02 AM Okay, so I was watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zZUss7H5Ck
But when I follow the instructions, I just end up with this: (http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/Aerodrome2/Untitled-4-1.png) I’m unsure what’s causing this, but I think it’s because the version of Blender I’m using is newer than the one used in the video. Just a bit more info regarding this, here’s what I’ve done: (http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/Aerodrome2/Untitled-5-1.png) I tried to delete the vertices(? I’m pretty nub. lol) to Lucario’s tail in this image. It looks fine, then I export it using these settings: (http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/Aerodrome2/Untitled-6-1.png) I then run it through anim8er and save it as a 3DS file, then run it through DDVB (yes I put the offset number in), but I get that… thing… in BrawlBox above. Anyone around know what I’m doin’ wrong? Btw, the tail is still visible in that BrawlBox screenshot. I know I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t put my finger on what… Alternatively if someone could link me to where I could get the version of Blender that the guy in the video is using, though I’d like that as a last resort. lol Title: Re: Vertexing with Blender Post by: Sirkura on November 08, 2011, 02:24:44 AM that can be 2 things, an isue with animator i had (needed an older version) or u edited something that was rotated in blender. blender method doesn't have a full model like u'd expect, it kinda callapses on itself in several parts. the tricky part is finding were those parts r. this is why i moved to 3ds max.

Followed the exact same steps (even down to file name. lol), yet it still screws up for me. So I'm assuming this is a problem from Anim8er? If so, is it possible you point me in the right direction of where to get the right one? That would be fabulous if you could. I figured it out. Simply cut Anim8tor all together. lol You apparently don't need it for 3DS Max 2010. <3 |
