I've been giving all permissions by the maker of the Volnutt project to go and start my own, maybe even join the two! As a huge Legends fan myself I am thoroughly going to enjoy this. So here's what I have as a moveset so far. It also gives the basic idea of what I'm trying to accomplish here.

EDIT: Last update for the weekend. I can't seem to port over rob, even after all the bone adding so it seems he might be a no go. Looking at file size and bone shape I have come up with the following I can replace unless someone thinks they can port this guy over rob. DK Fox Gannon Olimar (Actully has more file size than fox! Post by: Pervyman Trigger on November 19, 2011, 02:55:14 PM Well there are multiple varying factors that will change up who gets picked, from how much size they have, how many extra subactions, how much motion filesize, how easy they are to PSA and their floating points, and their special's that they only have and even how many articals we can put to use. Honestly I'd have to say fox and rob are the best two to go with but fox only has about 30+ Kb of extra possible space, Yoshi actually seems to have the most extra space though, but I'd have to re-rig Megaman over Link to port him correctly. Which wouldn't actually be a problem with me. I'm just an animator though so hopefully someone signs up to be a PSAer so I can actually discus these kinds of things and get this project rollin

Post by: Pervyman Trigger on November 19, 2011, 07:28:07 PM Honestly Snake isn't the best choice, not only have I heard he's hard to PSA, but his file size is about 35 KB+ Sure it's better than fox's, but with fox you have his reflector for the shield arm and his blaster for the buster, for snake you have nothing which can add to the PSA already, and you need to remember Volnutt not only needs a separate animation for each weapon, but also a separate coding, but again, after thoroughly going though these guys with an official PSAer for the team we'll determine who he's over. And now that I think about it Volnutt's shield arm may be a bit hard to work into the PSA, anyway should I sign you up as a PSAer, an animator, or both? Monday I'm gonna ask Anima if he wants to join in, but the more the better.

Post by: Pervyman Trigger on November 19, 2011, 08:52:45 PM Well mostly I'm trying to make this guy a reincarnation of himself from the legends games (Something TvC failed to do) He literately incorporates NOTHING but the mega buster from any other game. His buster itself isn't even chargeable, but was made stronger by switching out buster "parts" (The only mega man to do so) When you think of volnutt think of a strategy play style as he comes from an RPG game. I've played some of the Demos for SSF2 and it wouldn't really fit this guy.
I'm also trying to make his moveset "Different" from most by making use of his many weapons, but leaving a weakness to each to not only stop him from being overpowerd, but force the player to learn his playstyle and master his attacks to actually make him the best EDIT: wow two replies in that time o-o ^ I'm guessing you don't know that Volnutt is a completely different character than X and Megaman. Also this new rigging thing is only a few weeks old, so it wasn't around when your first started. Adding you to the collab list ^_~ Also I'm going to try and port peach's model over rob, if it works I'll try rigging volnutt to her and porting him. If THAT works, we can go back to replacing rob :af2: Otherwise I'll wait to talk this over when I have a couple of PSAers. One main problem is the lack of this volnutt's weapons. I have his buster, hand, and drill, but the rest are missing, and animation can't start without these, and PSA work can't really start without animation. 1. The extra weapons are to be animated in and out, as they'll all have there own bone to do so with. To make a weapon invisible just set it to 0.0001 on the bones scale and it'll shrink into it's own bone, and set it to 1 to bring it back up. this not only eliminates the need for polygon usage, but saves PSA space by not needing to call then up though it. Though were gonna be using Polygons for the Buster, Machine Buster, and Shield arm 2. I'll be taking care of the Drill Arm animations, the walking/running animations for now 3. Volnutt's Megabuster works a bit differently, it is to always be out when using his normal arm, but on any other weapon it is to pe put away unless he use's an attack it's needed for, when picking up an item he also needs to put it away as he'll be holding things with his left hand I'm also going more in-death with volnutts moveset and trying to figure out a working combo system for him. One last thing for all to hear. I've upgraded volnutt's model while staying withing the vertical limit :happy: Needless to say his hands are now square and his fingers spherical Title: Re: Whos up for a team? Thanks to KTH we now have brawlifed textures, yay! Also I've finished megaman's thumb so he's basically 100% now, still working on some minor adjustments, and seeing how low exactly I can make his vertical count without ruining thew quality he currently has though. Here's a list of changes that'll Be made:
Combo system: Certain attacks can lead to others if the right command is triggers No One button weapon change: The make Volnutt not only harder to master, but make him more fun, the one button change system is taken out, and can only be changed though combos or certain button combos Stats change: I'll be changing them around and making him a bit more balanced Possible new weapons: I might be adding two or three new weapons to the mix GFX Weapons: Making them appear and disappear though animation can eb a bit troublesome, and with the huge amount of extra models ROB has, it's not needed That's about it for now Title: Re: Whos up for a team Lets work for a new Megaman Volnutt! And the quality is kinda crappy here, but trust me the vent on his chest looks a lot better. And its still not done by a 100%, I would say 80-90%. The white rings on the feet should be yellow or gold, and I'd say more or less the shoulders should be red and the "Caps" on the shoulders white (Unless your going by zeros MMX1 design), and it would be nice, but unneeded if you could add the vent to the torso too. I'd have to suggest changing his eye color to blue also o-o The Buster should be a white color with he tip being red, like in the games and official art. other than this I'm loving it ^_^ Also I fixed the UV's sending in a moment. Also, I cant vertex so my motivation was X1. As I said, the Zero version will have different eyes, the other one is as if Volnutt got Zero's armor. Any way, I need to find a way to get white, the white spots you see now have practically no detail.

The "solid" system would be a set of attacks (either A or B) that's based on the weapon you currently have equipped. The "Random" system would be a string of different button combinations (either A or B) that not only change the attack you would use, but the weapon you would use. The C attacks would obviously always be based upon the equipped weapon. I haven't looked into it yet, but it might be possible to do the same with the grabs o-o
