It's true, though. He's been doing a little experimenting lately, but overall he seems like he knows a lot because he actually pays attention instead of flailing about asking inane questions.
Pretty much all of the info he provides is openly and easily available elsewhere.

I think they made Brawl the way it is (different than previous ones) to attract more casual gamers and not have as big a learning curve.
