then what's your question? it's not working?

.................I dont know how 2 do that.
Get common5.pac
Get BrawlBox
Open common5 with BrawlBox
Go in the folder ItalianStallion just showed
Right Click, Replace (with your own picture)
Save it, done.

Segab, my question is, if i replaced the correct image of the pokeball, to an edited pokeball, then why is it not showing up on my brawl? i even changed toon link's name to geno, and had the edited pokeball in that same edited common5 n the geno name change worked, but not the edited pokeball

That might be because the ISPs (Item Selection Portraits) are somewhere else. I remember seeing them in other places of the common5, and in the common3.

yeah.. that would mean that the pictures of items in common5 are unused, or used somewhere else.

yeh thats wat i think the issue is, because i replaced them correctly, and they dont show up under Brawl, Rules, Item Switch. either unused or somewhere i cant think of. so anyone knows where the actual "Item Switch" is so i can replace the item portraits?

yeh thats probably it but check this out everyone. today i went to the item switch section n everything seems to be in inverted colors, i seen that look before when i edited the stages without indexing. was i suppose to index these?

the name is also possible. since surprisingly, the character names have images, logically; the item names have images as well.

Tip: Look in your screenshots above the picture of your Pokeball.

wat? the "has pallete" part?

wat? the "has pallete" part?

Yeah that, a pallete is an index. It would say "True" on a texture image that requires to be indexed.

yep thats wat i thought it was but wasnt sure. cause remember when i was changing stage portraits n it would mess up the color cause they werent indexed. it all makes sense. ill try it out right now
