Hi! Alouette, here. I know I don't really post here so I'll get right to it.

I'm a basic brawl hacker and really like to feel the "experience" of having custom everything. But I've come across a small problem..

See, recently I've edited my sc_selcharacter.pac file and my info.pac file, too. It saves my progress and all, but It doesn't compress it. So the result is a huge file that will freeze when in Brawl. This hasn't happened before and I have absolutely no idea what caused it or how to fix it...

I'd really appreciate some help. :(

Use v0.66b, if you aren't already.

I currently have the up-to-date version of Brawl Box. :( I've tried all the other versions, too. And same result with those. >_>

Is the compression showing as LZ77 on the main root node of the file before you save?

It isn't showing at all.. Would there happen to be some missing files? Because if that's the case, I might re-download.

No, there's no missing files. What does it say for compression on the first node?

You may have to walk me through this. I only just understand the basics. ^^;

When you first open the file, the first node is selected. On the right, there should be two areas called "ARC Entry" and "Misc". Under Misc, there's a place that says Compression. What's it say there?

Son of a... It said "None." What should I do?

Click the drop down button on the right and change it to "LZ77".

That should fix it.
