Title: Problem with loading textures
Post by: CakeNinja on December 20, 2009, 11:53:20 PM
Heya, I've been having this problem with my wii. Ok, i get all my files (private, apps, codes, etc) on my sd card, put it in the wii, load, used cheat manager 0.3, activated codes, created gct, then loaded up newest gecko (1.9.3), and start the game. I know for sure that it said "cheats found. Applying" message. Going into brawl, chose my character with the texture hack i had, waited a minute for good luck. but when started the match..... no texture, just the plain, boring, old one. I even tried using gecko 1.07b but that froze on me every time i used it. I have the 4.2 update on my wii. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

File path (private\wii\app\pf\fighter\character\FitCharacterXX.pcs) correct? Got the right code for your region?

Yes, i have the right path and code for my region. Name the texture exactly, FitNessXX.pcs (example). What i might find to be the problem is that the gecko os homebrew program isn't doing its job inputing the cheats.

edit: never mind, i got it to work... i guess i just had to wait longer on the character selection screen.

About that, if you head to the stage select screen too quickly, then the fighter's PAC file is loaded instead of his/her PCS file.

If you have both the PCS and PAC files, then your texture should load up, regardless of how quickly you access the stage select screen.
