Hello Brawl Hackers
XChosenOne1 here going to teach how to make you own CSP
Difficulty: Easy
Items Needed:
A pic of your Character
Paint.NET
Lets get Started
Step 1: Find a Character Portrait You're going to use (I'm Using Blaze as an Example)
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
This is how it should look
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Step 2: Rectangle Select on your character and copy, and open a new paint window (or press New)
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Don't Risize the pic or this will happen
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Try making it look something like this
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Step 3: When Done Open Paint.NET and make the background Transparent
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Step 4: Notice how this crazy white outline on your CSP is going to look rather horrid on your dark CSS background. Download this (http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=5610) plugin for Paint.NET and use it with default settings to get something with at least 70% less horrid outlines.

Protip : Removing the white background and using this plugin yields more effective results if it's done BEFORE cropping the picture. As a general rule, cropping should always come as late as possible when tweaking pictures.
Step 5 : Realize that the picture you found (http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb58377/sonic/images/8/80/Braze.png) is a png and
already had a transparent background. It comes to your mind that the use of copy > paste or "Save image as" would have been much more efficient that using print Screen
Save Your Pic and Your Done
If anyone wants the CSP here your go: (http://i.imgur.com/Pz3oX.png)
This was great! But on the first picture, what does it say to press on the keyboard?

That depends on the pic's size (the one in the other pic was too big so i had to zoom out)
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Hey I'm s n00b on these forums so if I may ask, where do you put this file? I can't get brawlbox since my macbook is 5 years old. So....... I just use file directories to hack instead of brawlbox. Do any of you know where to put custom CSPs on an sd card?

Thanks for answering so fast :) But I can't use brawlbox. I've gotten a mewtwo that had every file to put custom CSPs and everything. So I need to know how to do it WITHOUT brawlbox :)

you have to put it in your Common5.pac in Brawlbox
Alternatively, you can place your portraits in sc_selcharacter.pac, but keep note that that file will only have higher priority with the File Patch Code.
On a side note, you can also use The GIMP to make your portraits, as that program offers extra tools that can come in handy.

What's this topic about? CSP?
I'm great at that. what needs to be done?
Nothing, this is a tutorial thread...
If you're completely replacing the original image with a new, made-from-scratch image, write down the Size information and the Format information. These are listed above the character image. Keep this information handy when you edit because your customization has to have the same size and format as the original or it won't work.
