Title: First time hacker help

Hey guys this is my first time hacking a wii and i'm running into a wall so I appreciate the help. I followed The Complete N00B's Guide to Brawl Hacking that's stickied at the top but I wasn't sure If I would be necroposting there so here I am.
I've used the Smash Stack hack to get homebrew channel running. I also have Gecko and Riivolution installed. I've setup my SD card with all the folders and XML's. And I've loaded a few stage .pac's and .rel's into the /melee and /module filepaths respectively. I think I've loaded the Code Manager codes correctly but I'm unsure what they're supposed to do so it could be that they're not correct.
Nothing is working and I've rechecked instructions again and again. I followed the tutorial I found here http://nintenzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3286 (http://nintenzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3286) and that one worked for my stages.
I want to get the files working in the folder hierarchy used here (pf/etc../etc/) but It's not working.
So I guess this means that the wii isn't accessing my pf folders correctly. Does this mean I have the wrong XML? I can post anything you need to solve this.

i have a 4.3 wii and it works for me so it doesnt matter whigh you have. if you have riivolution use it, i used this its easy saves time and fun to use so because you read that guide already ill help you, trust me i have been looking a looong time and never found grreat advice but here we go. FIRST: (if you dont have it you need homebrew) SECOND: install riivolution to your wii heres RIIVOLUTION http://rvlution.net/wiki/Riivolution. (http://rvlution.net/wiki/Riivolution.) THIRD: Format sd card (FAT 32). then Make a Folder on the root(the first thing yourdirected to once you click SD card, thats the root) of your sd card. FIFTH: lets get back to your sd card, make a folder in the root of your sd card called "codes" (when your done using the code manager EXPORT the gct. in the sd card) the gct wiill atuomatically go to the codes folder. SIXTH: make another folder on the root of your sd card called "brawlmods". SEVENTH: make everyhthing you see here on your sd card: (dont make another brawlmods) Guide for sd card: (X) is the name of your sd card (/) is whaats in that folder. =========== Where do I place my textures? ================
X:/brawlmods/textures/fighter/ - All of the character textures go here, e.g. X:/brawlmods/textures/fighter/captain/FitCaptain00.pac X:/brawlmods/textures/info/ - Anything that belongs in "info" goes in here. X:/brawlmods/textures/menu/strap/ - the "strap" is what you see when they tell you about wii safety. X:/brawlmods/textures/menu2/ - Anything that belongs in "menu2" or "pfmenu2" goes in here. X:/brawlmods/stages/ - All stage textures (pac) + any module files (rel) go here.

OK so now we got the sd card DONE but the question remains (HOW AM I GOING TO USE MY TEXTURES???) well i will help you :) Every character has a code name some of them ARE THE SAME! EX: MARIO is "mario" and some of them dont EX: BOWSER its "koopa" for JIGGLYPUFF its "purin" and so on. so make folders for EVERY CHARACTER with their CODE NAMES on your sd card in the folder called "fighter" now download this example for practice: http://www.mediafire.com/?o92pl55xg0xfdbt (http://www.mediafire.com/?o92pl55xg0xfdbt) now right click and look for EXTRACT(doesnt matter how you extract just NEEDS to be extracted) this zip to your computer(before extracting put it somewhere you will find it easily) IMPORTANT NOTE: not every texture you download is going to have their proper name! IMPORTANT NOTE: some zip files might have more stuff in it like csp pictures and so on, but for the beginners LIKE YOU just use the FitMario00.pac and the FitMario00.pcs DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER IS WHAT COLOR THE TEXTURE WILL BE ON(DEFALT COLOR IS 00). if you dont do this right you WONT have your texture hack in the game! every character has a color code usually 00-06 but some have MORE and some have LESS. if you download a zip or rar or whatever EXTRACT. if you see a fit"character" heres an EXAMPLE of how it SHOULD and SHOULDNT look. im going to use mario as an EXAMPLE:

NOW last but not least the STAGES. FINALLY: Turn on YOUR WII and PUT YOUR SD CARD IN and SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL (originall copy of the GAME not a burned disc or ISO). THEN go to the HOMEBREW CHANNEL then go to RIIVOLUTION click INSTALL (if you dont have it already) Then YOUR WII Should RESTART if NOT LEAVE YOUR SD CARD IN and WAIT 5 MINUTES FOR WORDS TO COME ON RIIVOLUTION SCREEN if NONE come up EXIT RIIVOLUTION and got to the RIIVOLUTION CHANNEL YOU INSTALLED ON YOUR WII and CLICK IT wait for it to LOAD Stuff Should APPEAR GO to OCARINA HANDLER and click the arrow LEFT or RIGHT doesnt matter IT SHOULD say "VI HOOK" then GO to CODES and CLICK the ARROW and IT should say "ENABLED" THEN check EVERYHTING ON the next PAGES MAKE SURE EVERYTHING That you PUT IN THE GAME says "ENABLED" EXCEPT the TEXTURES and STAGES. NOW CLICK LAUNCH and GO to the MUSIC in THE GAME, GO to MENU SONGS then CLICK SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL (OPENING THEME) and YOU should hear a DIFFERENT SONG go backgo to BRAWL click MARIO and GO to FINAL DESTINATION and then.
