Alright, so I have this idea for a CSS but I need to know a few things before I decide if it's plausible or not.

1a. Is there any way to remove the announcer who shouts "FOX" or "PIKACHU", etc, when you select a character?
1b. If it requires replacing every individual sound, how would I go about doing that?

2. Can I remove character titles in common5.pac by simply replacing them with an empty image?

3. Can I remove the smaller title over the mini-portrait?


The idea I'm going with is inserting the characters name directly over their portrait, and removing all traces of the announcer and names of the actual characters. This way, when a character is selected, it'll just show their name. This'll allow me to put Vivi over Ness without it having the awkward "NESS" title over it, same with any other character.

For the question 2, I remember saw someone's thread doing that, and it works.
For the question 3, yes you can remove it, look and the CSS of ASF1nk, they don't have the name in the icons.

It's a work in progress, how's it look? Good font, placement, etc? Ignore the CSS itself, I broke something with that, but the portraits of the four players?

They are looking good, the font is good even if I personally don't like it and the placement is practically the same as the name of the characters of the Common5, which is good.

Any suggestions? :3

The font was the only real interesting one I have on my computer. Easily changable before I start doing other portraits.

Well, I love the font that ASF1nk uses in his CSS's, but it's your choice to do them with the font that you like.

I can't figure out how to remove the smaller names.

look in teh common5 or the sel_char thingy for the names. then replace them with black

You need to resize the names, unfortunately I don't remember how you can do that.

He deletes the names of the common5.pac and put them in the CSPs of every character.

how do u make ur own names (that are on top of the icon) could u post the template?

The only think he do, was delete the names of the characters in the Common5.pac and add them in his CSPs...
