I need some help with my item texture hacking.
So, I tried Vile's method of repacking stuff and at the end, I managed to
get a modded common3.pac successfully. However, when I started brawl,
it freezed (without that annoying freezing noise) when it was on "strap" (the loading bit).
Does this mean I can't hack item textures on Japanese Wii? :(
I'm sure that I carried out the method right because I managed to get the common3 file.
Someone help please?

Oh, forgot to mention. I'm using a Japanese Wii...another disadvantage!

Meh, I tried packing via VILE's method. I got the same problem on a NTSC Wii.

You mean...on Japanese Wii?
If that's the truth, I want to why.
Oh yeah, I tried using common3_ja.pac instead of common3_en.pac
but still didn't work.
No hope? :(

Since there aren't many Japanese Wii hackers here, my question could be

did you use common3_ja.pac? Or _en version?

I didn't do it, Ive seen it though. And it doesn't matter what WII you have, its what BRAWL yuo have.

OK, I think I got it now. Item texture hacking didn't probably work because
I'm using a Japanese ISO (DVD-R). Am I right?

Allright, I tested using the original brawl disk (Japanese) but still didin't work.
To get this thing working, I need a English Wii and English Brawl.
Just wondering, does an English Brawl ISO works on Japanese Wii?

If you're using ReginFrii, or the Backup Launcher, yes.

I think it might not be working coz of the jap codes. I remember hearing something about them not working with some things.
