Title: I need some help with using riivolution
Post by: LiquidTension on December 15, 2012, 02:59:09 PM
I am new to the brawl hacking scene, and I use riivolution since my sd card is 4gb. Well I have been looking at tutorials everywhere and none of them seem to say the same thing. Some of the tutorials just say put the mods in a ssbb folder and they should work. Others say put the mods in a private/RSBE/pf folder. I have tried both and nothing is working! I would really like to know what the problem is. Btw I have the ssbb template xml in the riivolution folder.

Alright thanks, using beyonds worked. Also, is there a way I can swap which stage replaces say....battlefield? I saw a youtube vid of some guy selecting which custom stage he wanted in riivolution, I'm not sure how he did it.

Riivolution is set up with a brawlmods folder on the root (base) of your SD Card.  Inside you have Project M (projectm), Brawl Minus (???), Brawl+, BBrawl (???), and 3 custom slots - inside, you essentially have your "pf" folder with "fighter" - characters' files, "stage" and inside "melee" - stage replacments, "module" - porting rels and etc., and "system" - common5_en.pac (Character Selection Screen stuff) and common3_en.pac (Items), and your codeset - RSBX(E,U,J)01.gct goes in with the folders. Also make sure you have a Riivolution folder in Homebrew or the Riivolution channel itself!  (oh yeah and .xml's for seperate mods (Project M, Brawl Minus, etc.)  Have fun!   ;D  oh yeah and what that guy probably had is the Alternate Loader thing (it's coding)
