Title: Removing a Character's Voice
Post by: SAHunterMech on December 15, 2012, 10:29:50 PM
First off, I'm a Gecko user, and I KNOW it's impossible to ADD sounds to a character with Gecko, but I've seen a handful of character hacks made specifically for Gecko users that have character voices removed altogether. Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to remove the voice of a character/how to do it?

I'm asking because I'm using the awesome Spider-Man PSA, but would like to remove Sheik's voice... It doesn't quite match.

Ha ha ha. It's sure that it doesn't really match indeed... I think it can be removed by Psa. A Psa'er should be able to answer you correctly how it can be done, but normally it's possible with Psa.

It is definitely possible to do via PSA.

What you end up doing is switching out all of the sfx ID's with ones that aren't in use. It's a shoddy fix and I believe it won't fix the death SFX, but it should help some.

Ah, I get it now. Even if I can't remove the death sound, I'll take what I can get. Thanks a lot. I'm assuming I can't just delete the SFX in PSA completely without it crashing the game or something, yes?
