Hi, iv encountered a problem with my brawl hacking.
sorry if this has been asked before, i did search around, for an answer but most i found was for other issues.

anyway, i wanted to play brawl with hacks again after a few months.
and last time i played everything worked fine.
 (note my wii has NOT updated nor been connected to the web so no updates can have snuck in)
but today i start up everything, putt in my SD card & riivolution and start....but nothing of my hacks is there.
final destination is still final destination, and Link is still Purple instead of that epic skin hes supposed to have.

all i did new was add a new skin to a character, following the tutorial to the letter.

Short version:
first works fine,... month later Not work.


do i have to reformat my SD card or something?
i dread having to reinstall riivolution & all that stuff over again "shudders"


edit: theres no codes to enable ether, it looks something like this:

Exept on the side it says "REMOVE" instead of install

Give out more info... Is Your SD Card still the same since you last used it? Does your GCT File have the File Patch Code in it? Give us more info.

basically everything is the same, untouched aside from adding a skin to a fighter.
so the only new files would be FitRobot01.pac & FitRobot01.pcs
and a folder for Rob in "fighters" called "robot" (as the tutorial said to name it)

other then that no changes.

Have you replaced skins for rob before? It could be possible that you've just put it in the wrong folder.

If you tell me whose .xml you're using, I can tell you where to place your files.

yes its the first time i skin Rob, but i have misplaced skins before, and they don't effect "everything" in the hack
(im pretty sure its the right folder though)


Whose XML? my own i gues, (dunno what to say since im just using the basic one i got & added the skins to it. anyway it worked fine before.)


edit: forgot to say there's no Codes to Enable in the Riivolution channel.
sorry i forgot, not playing for months made me forget Riivolution's layout, the issue is the same though.

Google "Bionic's Mod Launcher and download his .xml. Alternatively, you can check the Vault for some different ones, including Beyond's Riivolution .xml which is structured the same way as Gecko.

When you've downloaded whichever you want to use, place it in root/riivolution/ and try that.

Edit: Whichever one you download, make sure you read the readme! Everything you need to know is probably there.

never mind, i solved it.
had to reformat the card & then putt everything back in, and it worked.
i had all files input correct since all i needed to do was moved them out & back in after formating.

still doesn't explain WHY it suddenly stopped working for no reason.
