Title: Vertex help...Please... Post by: PAH on January 23, 2013, 11:37:52 PM I'm extremely new to vertex and I've been having major issues getting started. I have seen a few tutorials on how to do it yet most don't apply to my resources or are too old to be of use.
My issue is mainly this ... after I follow all the steps in the tutorial I end up having a preview of 1: no changes... and 2: the most odd issue "Lines that shoot off in various directions that seem to go forever in the Brawlbox model previewer". The resources are as follows: Brawlbox v0.67b Dasdonkey Box 2.2 Dasdonkey Box (I really only use this one) Anim8tor v0.95c Blender 2.65a -64bitversion I realize that the Blender I use is newer I asure you that this issue remains regardless of the version. My Process is as follows: I load a FitLuigi00.pac in Brawlbox ---> Export the FitLuigi.MDLO file and rename it Model.MDLO and place it in the same folder as dasdoneky box ---> I go to Vertices and Export the FitLuigi00_CapM__FitLuigi00_cap and rename it vertex.ddf and place it with the Model.MDLO file. I Click dasdonkey box the upper option and get a DDV.3ds file ---> Next I open Anim8tor and go Objects Import DDV.3ds a white square is now present ---> I Export this as Modelcap.OBJ and close Anim8tor Next I open Blender Destroy the Sun, Box, and Camera go Import OBJ and choose the Modelcap.OBJ with these settings... Uncheck smooth Groups and Click Keep Vertex Order then I enter Edit Mode and Stretch the Vertex Dots a bit but enough to be obviously different than the normal.---> I Export this name it model2.OBJ and change none of the pre set settings and I close Blender. Next I open Anim8or import the model2.OBJ file another white square appears the I Export this and save it over the DDV.3ds file there by replacing it. Then I Click the dasdonkey box click the bottom option this time and enter the offset -189984 maually it says Success and it creates a few new files. Finally I open Brawlbox and replace the old Luigi.MDLO with the one just modifed by dasdoneky box and preview it... COMPLETE FAILURE! ...the Luigi model has no changes and has various lines shooting out in various directions that seem to originate at his cap the lines never seem to end...and the model looks like a mess with all those lines. Now the process I used is similar to a tutorials only modifed for New Blender... My friend got this to work perfectly...using the very same process and he was even stumped by my issues I even gave him a screen capture tutorial on what I did and he couldn't see anything wrong...yet there is.... So Please I need to know how to correct this issue...I have tried this for about two days straight about 30 times and each the same. Please help me and I must ask you NOT reply use 3dsmax because that is simply impossible for me to do and I absolutely won't do it. If you can help I'd greatly appreciate it thanks... Title: Re: Vertex help...Please... Post by: PAH on January 24, 2013, 10:17:35 AM Thanks for trying.... but the problem still exists
http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=49133.0 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=49133.0) using the written tutorial (video is unavailable) I still get similar issues... I use Peach as the tutorial does but at the end of everything...no matter how big or small the change her head disappears and it seems to have an odd very long stretch down to her ankles... I try the process with Luigi too but the issue of shooting lines and no chages still exists I'm still in need of a solution Please Anyone help .... UPDATE: JANUARY 26, 2013 I got it working... by using the materials your link directed me to ... and using my friends method I got it working...no endless stretches anymore Yay! Thanks for all your help... Bye for now PAH |
