Title: Help inserting Cloud into game
Post by: colhan90 on February 12, 2013, 04:46:12 PM
I have never actually used homebrew nor do I understand it very well. A couple days ago, I heard people talk about hacked brawl and thought it would be fun to try out. So with my day off, I got the Homebrew Channel on my Wii, put Gecko on my SD (which is 2GB) and now I have downloaded one of the skins/characters from here:

http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=24056 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=24056)   (this one to be exact)

Now I don't know how to put it into the SD card so that it can run. I need some help and it would be greatly appreciated.

My SD card has an 'apps' | 'bootmii' | 'codes' | 'private' | 'privateold' folders on the root.

I need help knowing where to put the contents of the download above so that they work and are playable in Brawl. Also, I don't know much of the abbreviations and what the file types do. Sorry for being difficult haha

Since that's an Ike hack, it would go in private/wii/app/rsbe/pf/fighter/ike.

Wii SD data is held in private, wii, app. RSBE is the NTSC (America) Code for Brawl. It will be different if you're PAL (Europe) or NTSJ (Japan). That's where all of Brawl's own data is held. Inside RSBE, there are usually a few folders. AL holds pictures, ST holds Brawl's stage builder stages. There are others, but the most important is PF. PhantomWings made this folder for his File Patch Code, which allows for us to replace files like this. The inside of PF exactly mirrors the inside of a Brawl Disc. Inside that you'll find a lot, like stage, or fighter.

Fighter's where all the character mods go.

Looking inside the Cloud download file itself, though, it looks like everything's already been set up for you.

Just copy fighter, info, info2, menu, and system into your PF folder.
