Title: unknown crashing issue Post by: MagDX on March 17, 2013, 07:14:34 PM I have for 2 days been trying to get texture hacks and the like to work on the wii. but it always crashes on reaching the stage select screen
Here is how everything reads when i look at it. Sd card (F:) Boot.elf codes-RSBE01.GCT(The codes being used are File patch code, unrestricted camera, and infinite replay) private-wii-app-rseb-pf-fighter-ness-FitNess00.psc st- st_080805_0933.bin Is there just something painfully obvious im looking over or is it something else? Title: Re: unknown crashing issue Post by: ABloodyCanadian on March 17, 2013, 10:24:48 PM You got it through SmashStack I'm guessing.
This is a case I've seen before. Simply just remove the file in the st folder. You have no need for it once you got hacks, and it'll only give you problems if you leave it there. Title: Re: unknown crashing issue Post by: MagDX on March 18, 2013, 06:58:32 AM Thank you for the reply,
But that doesn't seem to work, the gecko os screen no longer comes up when i go to the stage builder screen. Post Merge: March 18, 2013, 09:05:43 AM Ok, so after messing around with this a bit more, it seems to be the cheat code file that is causing the crashes at the the stage select screen( tried the cheat code file that comes from Brawl- and that works for some reason, but as im just trying to play Normal Brawl with texture and stage mods...yea thats not gonna work haha) Now the issue is, idk how to fix it. The code manger and cheat codes I'm using are coming from the download link in "The Complete N00B's Guide to Brawl Hacking" I read over it and feel like I'm doing everything right, But obviously im not. Anyone got any clue as to what is up? Title: Re: unknown crashing issue Post by: ABloodyCanadian on March 18, 2013, 11:09:36 AM Wait... so you use the Stage Builder to load hacks... you can either...
A). Remove the file in the st folder every time you load it up, then put it back in when you're done. B). Download the Homebrew Channel and open Gecko OS from there so you can never worry about the file in the st folder again.
