I made a video showing the problem at first glance, but what I can't really show in the video is that I cannot select/deselect player two-four to become a bot. It's as if some of the codes aren't even loading because when I pause in-game to orbit around the level, it doesn't allow me to do so. It's almost as if the "Unrestricted Pause Camera" code isn't implemented.

You must not have looked at the codes file because its in there, although it does appear to not be working.

Sounds like a few of your codes aren't working if you can't rotate the camera aswell. Are they for the correct region?

They are. I've heard in the past that you can have it so Riivolution can load more codes than the normal amount by modifying GameConfig.txt
I think I'm referring to this (http://smashboards.com/threads/use-up-to-8000-lines-of-codes-at-a-time-using-new-gecko.226447/). I cannot use Gecko though as I use a HDSC card, so I use Riivolution which supports that. Gecko doesn't support HDSC from what I understand.

Don't know anything about Riivo but I know gameconfig.txt allows Gecko to load more codes.

Here's an update on the situation, I downloaded and placed SSBBfiles.xml and RSBP.xml in my Riivolution which is located on the root of my SDHC card. I noticed when I got to the character select screen that it was re-arranged and that I could not choose the two bottom rows of characters. I also noticed that the Pause Camera code worked unlike before.

I do not think the custom character select menu is at fault here guys, I've used it for awhile and it's worked before. I think it's actually user error as I at one point deleted a bunch of files on my SDHC card because it was literally taking like 2 minutes for Riivolution to load all my brawl mods. It now takes about 15-20 seconds as it should, but at the cost of ... well, not working entirely.

I do realize that RSBP.xml is probably for the PAL edition of SSBB and RSBE is quite possibly the NTSC version. That is right, correct? I am a NTSC users; however, RSBP has more content in it than the RSBE does. I crosschecked the content in both xml files and they look virtually the same except that RSBP has more content with directory locations.

Heres my advice.

Make sure you don't have any conflicting codes.

Also I noticed you dont have the CSS fixes for Giga and company applied.
Not sure if it matters but your Custom CSS V3 differs from my own. See if these help.

The custom character select menu I use requires these codes; I've added a few back from this list to my master txtcode file; however, it doesn't work. Same with yours Renova. :/

Check out your characters, there may be one that doesn't want to be loaded...
Once, I got this problem with a personal Link PSA that have a way too big filesize...

I am just at my wits end with this issue, I've gone through and disabled all my codes and enabled just the codes that the custom character selection menu I downloaded required me to use.

I played around with different codes for CSS fixes and nothing worked. I even tried another SD card that's not SDHC and nothing works. What matter what, I cannot select the bottom row characters at all...
I've used this menu forever, but it just refuses to work now... nothing I do seems to work at all and it's truly infuriating.

That's got to be it. The codes work, that's for sure. I didn't use the CSS Organizer, I let the code rearrange the defaults. I'm almost certain yourproblem lies there as well.

Since I don'y use the CSS Organizer, the only piece of advice I can give is to download a CSS from the vault and use their presets.

Renova, check this out, it sounds exactly like the issue I'm having... but I have that code he speaks of...

So, I've come to the conclusion that it's the CSS code. It's suppose to not only show more characters (Such as Shiek and Zelda seperatly, and the individual pokemon), but also allow for characters to be placed where the default vanilla P1,P2,P3,P4 card clots are on the character selection menu. I should be able to place the character icons below is what I mean, I can't.
For me, it's not doing either, yet I have both codes enabled via Code Manager...
I mentioned in an earlier post that I had the pause camera code ticked in the Code Manager, but it didn't work in-game... this leads me to further believe that it's the Code Managers fault.

So I tried enabling the codes from an cheat code app on the Homebrew Channel like I use to before I began using Code Manager, and I'm getting the same results. Something is blocking my use of codes for Brawl...?

I've figured it out, it's because of my hook type in Riivolution. I had it on VI Hook using "BeyondRiivolution.xml" and it now loads the cheats correctly using DXDraw. I can now select characters on all rows; however, it isn't showing the extra characters like Charizard, Bulbasar and Squirtle.

Glad we got the bulk of it figured out. I still have no idea what he hooks are for. Never bothered to find out because it already works the way I want it to. Anyway..

Do you have the independent Pokemon code enabled?

I know I should not be necroposting and will probably get some kind of warning, but I'm having the exact same problem again shown in past videos in this thread... I re-read this entire thread twice, and tried to switch VI hook to DXDraw again; however, it didn't work like it initially did. This is quite perplexing...

Has anyone else experienced this?
