Title: All character select icons greyed out O.o Post by: Remixv4 on June 21, 2013, 09:45:23 PM Hello.
A while back, I made a complete costume overhaul for every character, and even added custom images for everything. I came back recently to swap out old models and ran into an odd problem I didn't have before. After replacing most model imports and doing a large update on the common5 file, I ran Brawl and went to the select screen in versus. Poof. Every character icon is greyed out, name and all. Their pictures show up at the bottom when I move my cursor over the blocks like they should, but I can't see which character is where anymore. I didn't do anything differently this time around, nor is it taking up any more space on my SD card than before. I wiped the card and restored it to my backed up previous version, and it went back to normal. What could have possibly caused something like this? O.o I'd like to fix the problem and keep the weeks worth of work I've done on the revision. My suggestion to you is to index your images, which is done in your img software. (gimp/photoshop) Be sure it is similar to the file you're replacing in regards to file size. A 4kb Mario character icon should be replaced by an icon of similar file size. If the icon is also for example 64x56 try to make sure your image is also scaled properly. I replaced everything bit by bit, and now it works properly. Thanks for the suggestion though.
