Title: PAL Problem Post by: Marshtomp8 on July 09, 2013, 02:32:04 PM Hey guys
Trying to get the file replacement to work on a PAL copy of the game however, I'm encountering a huge problem. This is the main code I try to use to get it working: Code: File Replacement v2.1a PAL [Phantom Wings, Y.S.] Whenever I use this code the game simply does not load up, after the gecko finishes loading the screen is completely black and the Wii fails to make any disc reading sounds, it doesn't even seem to attempt to load the game. However, I looked around for a possibly updated code and found this one: Code: File Patch Code v3.5.1 PAL : [Phantom Wings, ported by Deathwolf] This code goes much further, loading the intro FMV and all the way to the press start screen, after which the main menu loads up and the game freezes with no music or sounds at all, as if it were trying to load the menu music before crashing. The files I am trying to load are nothing but .pac and .pcs files for characters, no music, stages, CSPs or anything like that, all stuff I believe should work on a PAL copy of the game. The only thing I can really think of is that the Wii is running Version 4.3 I believe, though all other codes have worked well so far regardless of this, such as the universal character modifier code. And the only files that may cause some concern are the PSA's for Donkey Kong into Shadow and Lucario into Mewtwo. Any help or insight you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated as I'm rather at a (http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/143/193/cad-20080602-358b1.jpg?1309710446) at the moment. Thanks in advance. Title: Re: PAL Problem Post by: Shinobu Nyan! on July 09, 2013, 10:07:35 PM Use the second code, your issue is likely a mis-saved .pac. Look in private/wii/app/rsbp/pf/menu2 and remove any files there.
Title: Re: PAL Problem Post by: Marshtomp8 on July 10, 2013, 11:15:27 AM I don't actually have anything in the pf folder besides fighter, am I suppose to? The Shadow files for DK have stuff like FitDokeyEntry.pac that no other file has, might these been incompatible with the PAL code?
Title: Re: PAL Problem Post by: Shinobu Nyan! on July 10, 2013, 04:44:50 PM Remove one file and see if it freezes, if it does remove another one. Keep doing that until it doesn't freeze then you have found the bad file. You can put the other back in after you have found it.
