I tried RGB I don't remember which one, but I obtain a white background with my "WTF is happening?!" CSPs... They were switching their images with other things from the CSS... So, I think you should keep CMPR...

Generally speaking, if the original files use a certain format you should use it. Otherwise, use CMPR to be safe.
