Title: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Wiisam on October 17, 2013, 02:32:31 PM Hey guys,
I want to move Mewtwo SFX Moveset over Wario which the download comes with the Sawnd file for over Lucario. With Sawnd File, it's harder for me to come up with a way to modify because I'm usually quite familiar with Wave file using Sawndz 012 and Super Sawndz which I canreplace over any character I want to. I don't want to use Soundbank Code because that would mean having the same sfx would also affect whatever I have over Lucario. I also want to port Naruto SFX over Game& Watch which it also comes with Sawnd File for over Ike. I'm looking through some tutorial or any methods of how people swap sfx hack but I can't really find what I'm looking for. Is there anyone with experience who have been swap sfx could help me out?? Thanks Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Aura Sphere on October 18, 2013, 12:36:09 AM Hmm, as I said before, I'm pretty useless for this stuff, but instead I could recommend someone you could ask, because he's the person I'd ask if I were to try to find out for you. Look up shock44 (http://www.youtube.com/user/shock44) on youtube. Out of everyone I know, I know he knows stuff about super sawndz (I think it's super sawndz) and other stuff sfx-related.
Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Albafika on October 18, 2013, 06:47:29 AM To use Wario's Sound Bank, you will have to open PSA. Each sound is given an ID, an ID that is called if there is a sound when doing X action (Walk, Side Smash, Jump, etc). Every sound the character makes is summoned from the PSA. So what you will need to do is:
Recognize the ID of the original sounds over Lucario. Replace Wario's sounds with Mewtwo's manually. Make a table to know the ID of every sound in comparison to Lucario's. Open FitWario.pac (Mewtwo's) on PSA and start changing the old sound ID for the new sound ID on Wario. Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Thank you so much, I finally get it, which I never thought of using Brsar to export wave file and then insert the wave in sawndz012 to match the sfx ID. Took me a while to get this answer lol I never use PSA before so I wouldn't really know how to use it but I get what're you saying if I have to change SFX ID for fit(Wario).pac which i was surprise that I never knew that short term " PSA" stands for Project Smash Attack. Took me a while to get this answer lol I had the feeling you were confused, hence why I linked you to what I referred to as PSA. :PI never use PSA before so I wouldn't really know how to use it but I get what're you saying if I have to change SFX ID for fit(Wario).pac which i was surprise that I never knew that short term " PSA" stands for Project Smash Attack. XD Now I can finally know which category tutorial if I want to start off because I believe there were none for using PSA to change SFX ID under SFX Tutorial Yeah, it's pretty easy:1> Open PSA. 2> Click "File>Open" then select the PSA you want to edit. 3> Click "Sub Actions" Now, here, it'll start on Sub Action "0". Each Sub Action is a procedure, and most are linked to an Animation (Sub Action "0" is usually linked to the Animation Wait1, meaning every code in this Sub Action happens while you are in Wait1). Knowing this, you just need to go on "SFX" in the "Event List" (This is below the Sub Action "0") and see if it calls a sound or not. Sounds are called with "Sound Effect" and other things. You'll find that Sub Action E (Dash?) calls several sounds from the PSA. The number next to "Sound Effect: " (Ex. "Sound Effect: 1216") is the Sound ID. To change it, just right click "Sound Effect", then click "Sound Effect" in the tab that pops up, and edit the value to the right (which would be 00001216 in this case we are using). You'll just need to change the value for the new one, and keeping the numbers on 8 (Say, the ID has 5 digits: 12345, the value to input here would be "00012345", which makes 8 numbers in total). Now... This is the hard/tricky part. To identify the ID, you will need to know what sound you are replacing. The ID in PSA isn't stored in the smash_sound.brsar, so you'll need to figure out what ID calls what sound by either adding Sound calls on Animations like Walk/Crouch, and go in-game to see what the ID calls when you Walk or Crouch, and take note. I am not sure if the IDs for each sound are documented somewhere, but if it turns out you have to do it yourself, this is the way. I have one more question though I believe that is the case. His sounds are pretty small, and the file size is adjusted so you can't go over much from its original size.Someone told me that Mr. GameWatch has no voice clips or at least its sounds are too short to make an sfx over them if I want to replace it. So is there more than to it??? Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Wiisam on October 19, 2013, 12:56:02 AM Can you tell me more about "Value" because I don't really understand why we must keep to 8 digit by adding "0" or is to match other characters sound value??
Also, when I type on the certain code in the Sub Action, sometime it has more than One sound effect. Do I leave it as is or do I have to modify one of them or all??? Last question: Since the sfx wav file was already set in order by a person when I download the Mewtwo Sawnd file and export all to wav, does all characters have the same categorization moveset in arrangement with all the sfx set up . If so, then I don't have to through all the trouble in identifying the id by guessing which is the right moveset for the sfx?? Like for example what if all wav 0 is wait animation ? Just keep it that way.Last question: Since the sfx wav file was already set in order by a person when I download the Mewtwo Sawnd file and export all to wav, does all characters have the same categorization moveset in arrangement with all the sfx set up . Post by: Wiisam on October 20, 2013, 01:28:14 PM Alright, now I'm confused. When I opened up fitwario.pac and lucario.pac, all the subaction soundeffect are the same and the only difference is that I only rename a file to "FitWario.pac" which I forgot that it was a Lucario PSA.
:srs: I was using Lucario rel port over Wario Which I thought you meant that I have to use Lucario PSA as FitWario Rel in order to replace to lucario sfx? If it's Wario PSA , wouldn't that make the whole rel port pointless?? Because that would mean I have to change not just sfx but the whole animation moveset and probably more to replace over Wario PSA with Lucario. I also realized that Wario has more wave than Lucario when I checked through smashbox or brawlbox, so I probably as you said do the wario psa not as Wario Lucario rel. I can't really find the buttons/ controls for the animation moveset in the BB. I can only find when I navigate and expand Animation Data
When I select the animation, I looked at the right side and it didn't give me all the detail for the controls. Unless you mean that I have to open up the model viewers for Wario00.pac but it only show the movement when I load up the fitmotion pac and select the animation to play, I still wouldn't know the controllers or buttons. Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Albafika on October 20, 2013, 01:53:36 PM You use the .REL to port the PSA of Mewtwo over Wario.
The sound bank code allows you to use Lucario's Sound Bank (Which would have Mewtwo's SFX) on Wario's spot. What you want to do is to use Wario's Sound Bank instead, and leave Lucario as is. Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Wiisam on October 20, 2013, 02:00:25 PM Yea but I don't want to have 2 same mewtwo sfx on different characters :-\
Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Albafika on October 20, 2013, 02:14:50 PM Yea but I don't want to have 2 same mewtwo sfx on different characters :-\ I know... So you just have to add the sounds on Wario, and have Lucario be Lucario, then modify the PSA to use the sounds with Wario's IDs, so they are both independent.Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Wiisam on October 20, 2013, 03:24:35 PM But That would also mean that I have to change the "Main", "GFX" and "Other" through Sub action into Lucario ID because that would play Wario Moveset and mess up the value instead of Mewtwo if I did not change it.
So am I following?? :>.>palm: Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? No. That is not how it works. You only need to change the Sound Effect IDs to use Wario's bank. It doesn't matters. You're still confused. It doesn't matters if Wario uses more SFXs or not. What matters is that Wario has the same or a higher amount of SFXs that Mewtwo so that you can replace them and use Mewtwo's. As for the rest of Wario's SFXs, you will not be using them, you only care for Mewtwo's.Example: Wario has 2 SFXs for his fart. One for when it's not fully charged, and one for when it's fully charged. You get those IDs from the untouched Wario PSA. Now, in Mewtwo's, let's say you replaced the "low fart" with Mewtwo's Neutral B SFX, and replaced the "strong fart" with Mewtwo's Down B SFX. Now, you'd just go on these 2 Attacks' Sub Actions and set the IDs that correspond to the Sounds. It doesn't matters what the sound was, what matters is how you call it. Title: Re: How can I sawp SFX ??? Post by: Wiisam on October 22, 2013, 11:57:05 PM I still quite don't understand, what do you mean by how you call it??
You said it doesn't matter what the sound actually was but why did you say that wario non fully fart is B and fully fart for Down B?? Wario fart is only down B. So aren't we matching the mewtwo psa SFX moves that correspond with Wario PSA ??? This got me thinking, I know what I say is not true according to every legend. But what if Wave00 is Neutral B on both Wario and Lucario ( Mewtwo) and I open up the PSA for fitwario and mewtwo , I looked and compare both Nspecial ( Neutral B) and under sfx sub action their Id is different. I replace the ID of every wario Sound with Mewtwo. Post Merge: October 23, 2013, 12:02:11 AM Ok, My mewtwo talks and I know the the sound that I want to replace which is Both Right and Left Entry when he enter the battle, so does that mean I can only replace the "Sound" ID that wario can only talk that does for the sfx moveset sub action??? |
