(http://i.imgur.com/9elWqKL.gif)This is a Bass PSA that is being made by me and Leon Exodio. It uses Weapons and Abilites by Bass that he was able to use from every game he was playable in (including the Arcade Games) with the exception of the Final Smash (which is based on Mega Man Unlimited) and makes it into 1 Playable Brawl Hack just like Mega Man. I've seen Leon's and the MM team's work (although I'm just now getting acquainted with yours), and it seems like the perfect opportunity to make a pair of PSAs with a team of guys that have specialties in everything needed. I'm pretty sure MM still needs animations for his hand model going over his Buster, and you might be able to do some nice touching up elsewhere, too. I'm sure they could help here as well, but I obviously can't judge exactly what they could do from just one video showing an animation. I'm gonna answer that with a simple answer: We are not working on the things together. I've only made a few animations for Megaman and I'm also letting them use my style of the Entry that Bass has to have it over Mega Man as well. But other than that me and Leon are pretty much doing the Bass PSA alone and hoping that we will have someone who can make a Soundmod for Lucas to make it fit Bass. I'm not sure if it got fixed recently, but I know SouthCraft had some trouble making the shots for Mega Man always manual. The only way it worked was by making him shoot a bunch at a time. No I'm actually planning to use the model as it is (though I'm gonna have the head edited so he will have teeth inside of his mouth and so his helmet is the correct shape. Also I need to make him look angry. I'm thinking about making another model though more based on his appearance in Mega Man 7 since most of the animations are based on that. I don't want to have the Somersault kick since I wanted to have the PSA be like the Megaman one but at the same time have another gameplay style which is why most of the attacks are powerups he can learn in his games. You also don't get to see much of Bass in his final smash unless you pause so the design won't matter. We're having a bit of problems with Bass's PSA and Beam Model (it doesn't load properly on him anymore and I'm gonna get Leon to look into that for me) but we'll have them work again in no time so don't worry about it! He's PSAing the Bass Buster Bullets and we're not fully sure if we'll be able to have them go Diagonal yet but there's something in the PSA that makes Bass freeze.
Other than that we just need to add some neat effects to Bass's damage animations, make his Jump the proper speed for how long it takes for him to do it and maybe add a DamageWait animation based on these sprites (http://i.imgur.com/RnOukZ8.gif) and then the next Preview will be ready. While I'm not sure the DamageWait will be in the next Preview the Bass Buster Attack and new animations will be. That's what I've been trying to do with my Magnus PSA over Ike. When I reveal the next preview he will only be able to shoot in 3 ways. Standing forward, upwards and crouching forward. We're a small team with not as much experience in PSAing as the Megaman PSA team so we will take some time to do this. The hardest part with the A Attacks are currently to get him to shoot in other directions... actually I have an idea that I'm gonna tell Leon about when he gets on he might like it.

I'm sorry to hear that he is giving you trouble, I may have less experience then you guys but half the time my problems are solved by just throwing a second pair of eyes at them. I've made a bit more progress along with creating a brand new outfit that is gonna come out with the PSA (I'm gonna include 2 more and I'm working on one right now)
The new outfit is 8-Bit Bass (WIP (http://puu.sh/6n5ZF.jpg) What's left to do: I'm gonna give him black outlines along with nonshaded textures. (is to be released with Version 1) The Axl Model isn't perfectly rig I'm gonna say that right away but it's not really very easy to rig such a lowpoly model over bones not made for it (the Bass as Axl outfit will work much better however) When both outfits uses their final Smash they won't get wings or diffirent helmets but they'll have the red lines turn purple. Once he's done he's agreed to help out on finishing Bass along with his other 2 hacks (Sonic Heroes and Chaos) and once Bass is done I'm putting full focus in Chaos and a project I've kept abandoned for too long...

I've been working full time on other PSAs with Leon Exodio and we decided that Bass will be quite hard to make and therefor we're gonna work on him after the PSAs we're currently working on are done. I will be uploading a new Preview Video once Bass is in the works again so make sure to keep an eye out for that. As for Updates in general here's how it'll go. For the Thread: Videos and Images showcasing what has been done. As well as Q&A and Polls so you guys can get answers and decide what you want. For Leon Exodio's Thread: The Behind the Scenes of working on the PSA such as Animations Progress, Custom Outfits that will be released after the PSA is done (the ones on the OP are the ones that will be released WITH the PSA. With that said Axl, AxlBass and MM10 Bass are NOT being released with the PSA) and just anything in general. The videos and Images will however not be posted there. The reason I'm doing it this method is because this is still the main Topic for the Bass PSA but I also want to make sure that not too much is posted on the same place. With that said a new Poll will be made a few moments after I've posted this for you guys to decide over a new thing that you might like! |
