Title: mu_menumain.pac / info.pac, are they available for Gecko users? [RESOLVED]
Post by: TunaLover on October 28, 2013, 08:35:33 AM
Hi, I'm USB Loader user (I think the same rules for Gecko users apply for me), and I wish to know if mu_menumain.pac and info.pac can be read, I recently did some changes to my mu_menumain.pac, but the changes are not reflected in game.

My folder/files location:

SD:/private/wii/app/RSBE/pfmenu2/mu_menumain.pac
SD:/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/info2/info.pac

More info: NTSCU user, using File Patch Code v3.5.1 (NTSC-U) [Phantom Wings]

Thanks!

not quite sure because i am pal user but maybe you need to change the names to
mu_menumain_en.pac and info_en.pac

it depends on the xml.

it depends on the xml.
Correct, but only for riivolution users.
The XML file tells the location of each file from the sd card. Although I say this the the XML really doesn't know where the file is at all. Look in the XML file and there should be a section displaying the file path to those files. Make sure everything is spelled EXACTLY the same in the XML and sd card.
For Gecko users there is no XML file is needed.
Re-save it and see if that helps, if not use the Common5.pac instead.

You're correct. You did put them in the right folders, so I dunno if you're doing anything wrong... Are any of your other hacks working?

Can I do that through common5.pac?

No. The common5.pac file contains the Motions for Charizard and Squirtle, as well as Character Select and Stage Select.

Hmm... You should try to get a new FPC... I noticed that this one has some minor glitches with USB Loader...
Or try to name them menumain_en.pac and info_en.pac

Yes, all my other hacks are working.
Also can I edit the stage portraits in the "my music" selection screen?

In fact there's a problem with USB Loader, I couldn't call it glitch but limitation, if your .gct if bigger than 3.5kb the loader will not load the cheat, that's why I keep it with the lower number of cheats activated, I contacted the guy who mantain USB Loader GX "Cyan" to comment this problem, hopefully it make a new revision soon.

The same question I did to A Bloody Canadian; can I edit the stage portraits in the "my music" selection screen?

It's in the same file as the mu_menumain.pac file.
