Title: Help with Elemental Effects [Solved]
Post by: Iconking on February 16, 2014, 04:41:29 PM
I'm trying to make different elemental versions of Lucario, but everytime I change anything in with SmashAttacks the Game freezes once I choose him in the character selection screen. Is there anything special I need to change/add before changing the flag of the subroutine?

Offensive Collisions are found in the SubActions. BrawlBox makes changing Flags easier, but it's unstable, so what I would do, is open up BrawlBox, change the flags there, and copy and paste the value into PSA.

Thanks, that worked. Just have to figure out how to restrict it to certain skins now.

Not possible. One PSA will work for All Character Skins of that Character.

One thing you can do is use BrawlEX wich adds new Character Slots.

Well, the guy who made the Elemental-Mewtwo did it.

You would need to use an If Compare statement.

Something like:

If Compare: LA-Basic[54] = 1*
Offensive Collision (specific to that costume)
Else
        Offensive Collision (normal)
End If

*The number "1" being whichever costume slot you want the different collision on.

If you have Project: M 3.0 or later, you can look at Mario's forward smash in PSA to get an idea of how costume-specific hitboxes work.
