Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: Ҩᴜᴇᴇɴ on March 25, 2014, 09:12:33 PM YoLo
Post Merge: March 25, 2014, 09:21:05 PM Also, @Knightmario You mentioned you used Riivelution. Can I use Project M and stuff on Riivelution, as well? And my common5.pac? Like, I'd hate to re-do EVERYTHING I did. My common.pac Common.1 common2 common3 common4 common5 You have no idea how long it took, or maybe you do. But srsly, bruv. it was obnoxious. And I'd like to use my 4gb SDHC card, isntead of my 2GB, I'm always fraid I'll over do it with full on hacks and textures. And sometimes, I feel the 2gb over does itself, so when I do 4 characters, with different PSA's and different texrtures, it ends up freezing. And it confuses me. I want to try different styles. But I'm afraid to do so. If I do Riivelution, will it makes it so I can't have Zero Suit Samus and Samus asdifferent characters? And Zelda and Shiek? Will i have to deal with Pokemon Trainer, instead of 3 as indivisuals? I see many stage hacks with errors stating the Trainer will freeze. Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: Large Leader on March 25, 2014, 11:49:16 PM So many questions...
Here we go... Can I use Project M and stuff on Riivelution, as well? Yes Quote And my common5.pac? Yes Quote And I'd like to use my 4gb SDHC card, isntead of my 2GB, I'm always fraid I'll over do it with full on hacks and textures. There's a code for that, Bero's SDHC extension works perfectly. Quote I want to try different styles. You'd just have to put the Motionetc files for those characters in their respective Common files (like Common5 or something or wherever it's located). Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: Ҩᴜᴇᴇɴ on March 26, 2014, 12:21:13 AM See, I don't know how to do that.
Putting the Motion files in the Common3.pac (Which is what you're thinking of) http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/1870/pyqj.png (http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/1870/pyqj.png) Common5.pac is for CSS and stuff. And as for code. I can't put code into my .gct. CodeManage doesn't allow me to make a working gct, and gcteditor is a lie. I can't edit my gct files. It doesn't save. Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: pinipigbomb on March 26, 2014, 12:37:39 AM See, I don't know how to do that. Go here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/p01chjw1j1k4zuz/wfZde9HUj9/system (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/p01chjw1j1k4zuz/wfZde9HUj9/system)Putting the Motion files in the Common3.pac (Which is what you're thinking of) Now download Common_en.pac. Open the file up and replace the respective motion files with what you want. If this doesn't work, you may need to add a line to your .XML file. Copy and paste this into your .XML if the motion files still don't work: <file external="/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/system/common.pac" disc="/system/common_en.pac"/> I don't know much about GCT files, so I can't help you there, sorry. Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: Ҩᴜᴇᴇɴ on March 26, 2014, 12:59:12 AM Do people seriously do all this, just for riivelution? No way, man. That is way too much. I'll stick to my 2GB.

Riivolution has no filesize limits for a lot of files, which is nice, but you're really only going to apply that to SFX hacks. Gecko can use SFX hacks thanks to the new sound modifier engine, but it's somewhat crippled due to the fact that most SFX exceed the file size limitation. Riivo also doesn't have a code limit (I don't think), but that can be achieved with Gecko using a gameconfig txt file. However, Riivo has an "anti-piracy" dogma, so you can't use USB loaders with it. Also, there are many assorted hacks that are incompatible with Riivo, and I've yet to find one incompatible with Gecko provided it meets the file size requirements. Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: Ҩᴜᴇᴇɴ on March 26, 2014, 10:29:43 AM sfx, like... sawnd files? I like my Hollow Toon Link voice.
Bleh, I'll look into it. Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: KnightMario on March 26, 2014, 03:43:38 PM I just use project m with the launcher, and riivolution for vBrawl. If you want to add stuff to project m I'd just use the project m launcher.
Title: Project M and Riivo? Post by: Ҩᴜᴇᴇɴ on March 26, 2014, 06:12:03 PM So.. I downloaded Riivolution, needed a Patch file, put the patch file in the XML folder and... it froze. ._. -sighs- GOOD news, hwoever. At least the ProjectM site says "Supports 2GB SD cards or higher" So... :> The launcher does, anyway...
