I think i tried to mod my wii a while back so i can change out some of these characters, but for some reason, i could never get it to work so i gave up. But now i'm gonna try it again and hopefully get it to work.
With that said, i have a question.. or 2.. How exactly does the character modding work? Does the new character replace the old character entirely? or does it only use one of the 'costumes'? Will i be able to download 2 or 3 different new characters to replace one and use them as different costumes? For example, i was thinking on grabbing the Lucina mod to replace Marth. Will i be able to replace Marth's first costume with Lucina and replace Marth's second costume with a different character? or will all the costumes be different color outfits for Lucina? Sorry if this question seems noobish, but i'm new to this whole thing (because i never got it to work a while back; at least a year)
If the characters has new moves (and is not only a costume) it will replace the character entirely. Beneath that you can clone and add up to 100 characters to your brawl game.
Think of every character featuring some costumes and ONE moveset. Now you can replace some/all costumes and the moveset, but there is only one moveset which is nearly independent of the costumes. But gladly you can clone characters to appear more than once in your character selection screen (you can have up to 100 characters).
