Title: Edit announcer calls. Post by: Ҩᴜᴇᴇɴ on July 17, 2014, 09:31:34 PM I wish to learn how to edit announcer calls.
I have the .wav. Id's. Sawndz SuperSawndz. Now I just need to learn which .sawnd file I need to open and how to open them. Or edit my brsar so I can get all the announcer things in. I have Louie, Roy, Mewtwo, etc etc because of BrawlEx. And I wish to replace "Peach!" with "Rosalina!" I don't know how to make my own brsar. And I find it super weird. I hate asking others to do things for me. I wish to learn myself, instead of waiting on others. I've tried YouTube. I've tried Tutorials. I can't follow them. They're too long and I have ADHD, my mind set often drifts away. So if someone can tell me which sawnd file I need to open with sawndz and how to insert it, I will be happy. 220? 221? 222? 223? Which one? Opening Sawnd files in Smash Box doesn't work. They only work for brstm's and brsars. Title: Re: Edit announcer calls. Post by: FireKirby7 on July 19, 2014, 04:15:21 PM SFX hacks are really easy with SuperSawndz and the RSBE code (replacement sound bank engine). I found out how to do it myself honestly.
But yeah, you can't open .sawnd files. They're meant to only be used and not edited... You make your own .sawnd file by using SuperSawndz. Alright, first make sure you got your .brsar file in the same directory as SuperSawndz, and then start up SuperSawndz. Announcer calls are in 4 different soundbanks: menu melee menu characall Fortunately, they're all near each other on the list... For an easy way to find them, click on one of the names on the right window so that you can highlight them, and then just press "m" on your keyboard 'til it takes you to "menu". Once you find "menu", click on the "+" buttons and then click on the 3rd from the top "+" button. Then you can click on all of the "audio" files and hear what they are. From here, go ahead and listen to the other announcer soundbanks, "melee", "menu", and "characall". (Yes, there is a second 'menu' soundbank) Now to replace them. Highlight the audio file you want to replace, and click on the "..." button on the top left under 'Input File'. Select the .wav you want to put in over the old one... and then press "Insert" and SuperSawndz will work it's magic. Repeat this for all of the .wavs you wanna put in. OK, now I typed all that up before realizing you aren't using RSBE. :>.>palm: So you're just sticking with editing your .brsar right? I forgot why I prefer RSBE, but sticking with the .brsar's even easier. After you insert new SFX with SuperSawndz, I think it saves the changes to your .brsar automatically. So once you're done inserting the new sfx, just make sure you move the .brsar in your SuperSawndz folder onto where it needs to be in the SD card. Title: Re: Edit announcer calls. Post by: Ҩᴜᴇᴇɴ on July 19, 2014, 08:53:52 PM Thank you, Kirby.
But I had already figured it out. Funny how I need to figure these things out myself first. Then people tell me how. It's not so simple as inserting it, you also need a few other files in the folder. SoundFile.dll, dsptool.dll and sndconv.exe are needed. Or else it'll keep saying Error. But there is one thing that even I can't find. How do you edit the result screen names? Title: Re: Edit announcer calls. Post by: SmashJay87 on July 31, 2014, 11:45:17 PM I'm just taking a wild guess, so correct me if I'm wrong. But I think you'd have to use one of the BrawlEx programs

You need Super Sawndz. and the stuff I mentioned up there. Then the .Wav files/Sawnd files. And import them/replace the sounds. |
