Title: A Little Help Can Go A Long Way
Post by: xZedkiel on April 21, 2010, 05:06:55 PM
Hi, I would like to know what are some good tools for beginning vertex hackers. I didn't want to request the vertex hack because I thought, *Hank Hill accent* "All of these people make awesome hacks and I don't want to bother them, so gosh darn it I'm gonna make one ma'self!" I figured people are busy and don't need another request on their backs that the "requesters" are to lazy to attempt to make. So I would like to know some good yet easy programs good for vertex hacking, thank you very kindly.

Hmm... Ike. and Maybe Marth. Which files exactly do I download? I've got Vertex Box now.

Depends on the body part then. If the arms and legs are in the same polygon it's going to be almost impossible to do anything about them.

For Ike, the pants, sword pretty much the clothing and hair. Not sure what i'll do with Marth though..

Sorry if I'm getting annoying, but last question, how do I get the mdl0 into Blender?

I finally started, and i'm already having problems! I exported the vertex as .ddf, then I used DD Vertex Box to convert to 3ds, then Anima8or to convert to obj and when I open the files in Blender I get an "unknown error" message.

I don't know blender. Hopefully Link can pop in to help you.

I thought the steps were:
1) Open the created .3ds in Blender
2) Edit to your liking
3) Export that as .obj
4) Import the .obj to anim8or and export as .3ds
5) Insert with Vertex Box

Sounds like you got some steps mixed up.

It's still not working! I exported the vertex from the model, then I converted it to 3DS and it doesn't open in Blender!
