Title: SmashAttacks Help
Post by: InvaderXYZ on March 14, 2016, 02:51:31 PM
Hi! Recently i've been trying to edit this (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=34047) PSA over Lucas with the program Smash Attacks. But for some odd reason, I am unable to do this. All I recieve is errors.

Anyone have any idea why, or how to fix it?

Thanks for your time.

Do the errors occur when opening, saving, or during gameplay?

When opening the file. I usually get "Cannot locate file data." and "Error reading file."
I'm opening the FitLucas.pac file.

You can try http://opensa.dantarion.com/psamod/PSAMod.exe (http://anonym.to/?http://opensa.dantarion.com/psamod/PSAMod.exe)
or
Brawlbox 0.68b (experimental PSA editor that was removed in future versions)

The first one gave me the error, "Index was outside the bounds of the array."

Although, the second one was able to access the subroutines? I'll try to play around with that and see what happens, thanks.

Any idea why I can't open this in Smash Attacks?

Try this version of PSA.

Oh, I was unaware of a newer PSA with Dant's mod until you posted that link. Thanks! Yes, that should be used.

Quick question KingJigglypuff, do you know the reason that "remove" was replaced with "nop selected"? Nop is fine but removing an unneeded command completely seems like a better choice.

It saves file size when unused commands are nopped instead of deleted, because PSA doesn't rebuild the moveset file to decrease file size.
