Title: [Solved] Help Creating CSPs with BrawlBox
Post by: Xenthos on October 16, 2016, 06:17:57 PM
Hello, I've been following a very well-made tutorial (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=49755.0) by Red93 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?action=profile;u=20795) on how to make CSPs.

Unfortunately, since I'm so new to BrawlBox, I cannot get this to work. You see, what I'm trying to do is take Link's default pose and copy it onto a new model. What I've done is extracted the Brawl ISO and searched for LinkR1.brres, Link's trophy model. I got it and converted it to a .mdl0 with BrawlBox. Can anybody guide me to making the model copy the trophy pose?

Actually, the trophy model is not actually rigged, and it's just a single object with like 3 or so bones. To make another model posed that same way, what you actually do is first copy the FitCHARACTERNAMEMotionEtc.pac to somewhere where you can find it(In your case, it would be the FitLinkMotionEtc.pac file), open up the model that you wish to make a CSP for, and preview the MDL0 in BrawlBox; then, if you expand the left pane, click "Load Animations" or whatever it's called. Select the .pac that I mentioned above; now you can scroll down to the very bottom, and then scroll very little up, and there should be something like Win1, Win2, and Win3; and there should also be Wait1, Wait2, and Wait3 if you scroll to the very top of the list and scroll down a little bit; or something along those lines; if you click on one of those, click in the viewing box, and press spacebar, it will show the animation, and one of these should be the animation that would result in the pose that you're looking for.

Wow, thanks! None of these look quite the same as the trophy's picture, though :/

Yeah, but that's because of BrawlBox's perspective; the same thing would happen if you were comparing the actual trophy model to the CSPs. You can follow my texture tutorial in my sig if you wanted it to be exactly like the regular CSP.(If it's a recolor of Link)

Ah, it's fine. Mine's not a recolor, anyway. Thanks for the help, though!
