Title: hotdogturtle's textures Post by: hotdogturtle on May 18, 2010, 10:47:11 PM Ok, since they finally made a new subforum for stage hacks, this thread is gonna be pretty empty. I only have a few things to show that aren't stages.

Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: hotdogturtle on May 20, 2010, 06:33:17 PM Updated with a new Jigglypuff costume.
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: ShadowSnake on May 20, 2010, 06:39:56 PM I love the battle skiff, its one of my fave stage hacks of all time. And your new chef hat jiggs is an epic win.
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: dingo on May 20, 2010, 06:41:22 PM That's one more I don't have to release >_>
I don't mind but can people tell me these things >_< I have all the hats already positioned. I just need to vertex them to fit better. I started the Kirby Hat project. Mewtwo fixed the first one so I didn't care about him releasing it. My Mario hat was different from his but can people tell me these things since I already started all the hats plus extra things. All that was left was to resize or rotate the hats. There went my update for today. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: Beyond on May 20, 2010, 06:43:05 PM Great job with the Chef Hat Jigglypuff, hotdogturtle. ;)
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: dingo on May 20, 2010, 06:49:43 PM Chef Jigglypuff is one I'm fixing now after I finish a stage animation. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: hotdogturtle on May 20, 2010, 07:12:24 PM Hmm, sorry about that =/
I saw this request (http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=10308006&postcount=2991) last night, and I posted the first version (http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=10317133&postcount=2998) earlier today, which, looking back, was 45 minutes before you made that post. I guess we missed each other's posts because we were looking at two different sites. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: dingo on May 20, 2010, 07:19:10 PM I don't go on smashboards. I didn't release the chef hat last night because it was off a little and I wanted at least half of my first 10 out last night. The chef hat and a special one was tonight but I'm gonna remake the chef hat. I wouldn't want it being the same.
I changed my post on my thread. I have every hat already on Jiggs and positioned for the most part, I just need to fix them through vertex hacks. I was upset because I spent a good amount of time putting them all on Jiggs and trying to position them for vertexing. I don't know about smashboards but I already started the Kirby Hat project for Jiggs. Mewtwo fixed the freeze glitch and did most of the work on the FalconPuff. I'm just continuing what I started. If you're gonna do any more just let me know so I can make mine different. I was lucky that Mewtwo's Mario cap and mine were different. omg your one post away from 4000 posts! Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: hotdogturtle on May 20, 2010, 07:28:53 PM I wasn't planning on making any more. In fact, the reason why I took StarWaffle's request was because I knew that you were already making the Kirby power models and I wanted to do something different, though I didn't realize that you were including his final smash in your hat pack. You could still fix the chef hat by tilting it backwards and making it fit on his head better. I haven't moved it at all because I don't know how to edit vertices.
I don't suppose you were planning on making winged Jigglypuff or frying pan Jigglypuff, were you? Not that I could make those without vertex editing (I already failed at winged Jigglypuff a couple days ago), but I'm just giving you more ideas if you want. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: dingo on May 20, 2010, 07:38:23 PM Frying pan and such things are hard to do since they don't stay in her hand. I made a Jigglypuff with Saki's gun from TvC which Demonboy provided me. It stays on her shoulder but messes up when picking up items. I haven't fixed this yet. I already made WinglyPuff. I just needed to move the wings forward and that was gonna be with the chef hat.
I have another idea for the chef hat to make it noticeably different from yours. I have others like Jigglypuff with FLUDD and Meta's cape on her that I was saving for after I finished the hats. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: amount18 on May 20, 2010, 07:54:58 PM very cool jiggly hats...but why can none of the jiggly hats be used on anything but the green texture?

Which is her green team texture. And it's just special like that. I plan on at least one vertexed hat on her for the other slots. That is what I mean. Thanks. I wanted to see the blue pika party hat on blue jiggly. It is kinda silly on green jiggly to have a blue hat imo...Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: dingo on May 20, 2010, 08:55:24 PM Blue Pika hat can't be removed from Pikachu. So it would have to be vertexed from on of her other hats. I thought of doing this vertex. Party hat and Ribbon are planned for her.
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Chef Jigglypuff) Post by: hotdogturtle on May 20, 2010, 11:09:32 PM Good news, I was finally able to fix that rain glitch on my Pokemon Stadium 2 stage. That means that this transformation is basically complete.

As far as the weather stadium goes, I have to figure out a way to make Tyranitar stop showing up so dark ingame. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Magikarp) Post by: hotdogturtle on May 29, 2010, 02:33:40 AM Updated with an item replacement.

Uh, yeah, I'm just gonna bump this. I haven't made anything in a while, mainly because I've been playing other games and playing Brawl with other people's hacks. I will get back to making my own stuff eventually though. I have ideas; I just have to make them. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Magikarp) Post by: KTH on June 17, 2010, 02:30:23 PM What it's your newt project? ^^
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Magikarp) Post by: hotdogturtle on June 17, 2010, 06:20:02 PM First I still have to finish my Weather PS2 and my 3D Snake Man stage. Then I was gonna revamp all my Online Training stages to be FD compatible (Mewtwo_2000 said it's beter that way). After that I was thinking of making some more SSE ports. So I've got plenty to do, I just haven't bothered to work on it in a while. Next time I'm in a mood for progress, I can get a lot done.
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (New: Magikarp) Post by: hotdogturtle on July 10, 2010, 06:30:02 PM Hey look, I actually did something today.
(http://i29.tinypic.com/2468ltu.jpg) I realized that nobody had figured out how to add a new background to Temple (either that or they just didn't care...), so I decided to do one. I just picked the nighttime Eldin hack because it looks nice. It's just a background mod, so it won't change the gameplay on that stage. Next time I'll try to pick a stage that people actually care about. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (7/10: new Temple background) Post by: Mewcario on July 12, 2010, 06:41:39 AM I really like that Weather Ability Pokemon Stadium 2. I'm definitely downloading it when it's done *thumbs up*
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (7/10: new Temple background) Post by: hotdogturtle on July 12, 2010, 01:04:58 PM Oh great, now I have to actually finish it >_>
Nah, just kidding. Knowing that people want it should give me motivation for working on it again, since as you can see, I got bored and stopped for over a month. It was more than half way done so I've got a good head start on it. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (7/10: new Temple background) Post by: hotdogturtle on July 23, 2010, 12:52:44 AM Ok, I just hit my 4000 download mark. Awesome. I give my thanks to all the people who enjoy my hacks. It's crazy that my Battleskiff texture accounts for over 25% of my total downloads (it just passed 1000 a few days ago).
And to celebrate this milestone, I attempted to actually do something. (http://i30.tinypic.com/mrtimp.jpg) According to my computer, I haven't touched this stage since May 21. Lesson learned: never promise anything ahead of time. All my other hacks were spontaneous, spur of the moment ideas, but as soon as I started posting this idea before actually finishing it, I stopped wanting to make it. Anyway, does this look any better than the old version? I attempted to change the materials on his body, even though I don't know how they work. How does the lighting look? Do you guys think his colors are still too dark, or is this good? I'm at the point where I could just brighten the textures if I need to. Aside from that, I think the changed materials made it look better, and I can start making the sandstorm next. Check the first page for more pictures. This was the part I kept procrastinating because it required an outside model. The last thing I did before today was import Tyranitar, but it had bad shading on its textures, which I think I just fixed.

Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (7/10: new Temple background) Post by: hotdogturtle on July 24, 2010, 12:01:34 AM That's a question that I can't answer...
Earlier today I was working on trying making the sandstorm. Using one of the snow models, the images were pretty hard to see and sort of looked like snow depending on how big they were. I tried using the rain model but it just froze (I'll have to look into that). I'm gonna have to figure out a good way to make this sandstorm look good. On the plus side, I think the sunlight mode and the rain mode are fully done. I'll just have to revamp the hail mode to use a bigger model so the snow is more visible. Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (7/10: new Temple background) Post by: DocStrange on August 01, 2010, 08:29:04 PM I think Tyranitar should be a little brighter (the hue maybe should be adjusted a bit also) but other than slight tweaks it looks fantastic. I may have to actually use Ps2 again once this comes out.
Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (it's been a while) Post by: hotdogturtle on November 25, 2010, 11:17:20 PM Just a quick update. It's not a texture, but I made a Pirate Ship hack with no hazards. I always thought that it was one of the nicer looking stages in Brawl (and has great music), but I never got to sit back and enjoy it because the matches kept getting interrupted by annoying things (especially the bombs). Now the whole match is nothing but you and the boat.
(Morning update: For those 7 of you who have downloaded this stage, re-download it because I just fixed a glitch) Title: Re: hotdogturtle's Textures, Stages, and Imports (it's been a while) Post by: hotdogturtle on December 22, 2010, 03:27:36 PM My newest hack...
