Title: CSPs aren't loading after using CUPASH
Post by: Viro on May 28, 2010, 11:41:45 AM
Hello,
I've been searching around and have been having some issue in regards to this.

I placed the folders that were made from CUPASH in the SD card where it was saying to, but when I load up Brawl, the CSPs don't work and it just loads up the original pictures.

I'm not sure if I missed a step.

Here's what my SD card looks like:

pf:/

info/portrite: Nothing

menu/common/char_bust_tex: MenSelchFaceB000.brres

system: common5.pac (after I rename it from common5_en.pac)

Thanks in advance for help.

char_bust_tex over powers common5.pac, try taking that folder off and try?

Checking your codes is your best option.  You could also transfer your custom portraits onto sc_selcharacter.pac for some extra convenience.

CUPASH is outdated. Use BrawlBox.

Wrong and immaterial.

The char_bust_tex folder contains victory portraits. It doesn't have priority over common5, and if it did, it would contain the same pictures the common5 has.

Anyway, BehindYou is right; use BrawlBox if you can, though it is a bit more tedious.

Thanks for the help folks :). I saw the issue at hand. seems I didnt realize the images were case senstitive when spelling them out. But yeh I've been becoming more attuned to brawl box now.

The only thing I noticed that wasn't making sense was that when I placed the magenta background and put the image in through brawlbox, it'll show the magenta box but if I do it through CUPASH, it'll make it transparent.

What should I do to ensure that the image is transparent? should I stop saving the image out as an indexed image and just save it as a .png?

Thanks again for the help. Been having a blast with the custom portraits!  :af:
