Flandre's PSA!!

Alrighty, you've waited for it, and it's Finally here. Flandre Scarlet's PSA thread!!  :af:

So, what to do... I guess it would be good to start naming all of my fabulous PSA hackers! Thay are:

-Hyper Wave Kusanagi

-Ninkakiwi

-HiFive

-Shadowsnake

-----------------------------------------------------------

Arighty. Next, here's the moveset list. Many of her moves are taken from this video, ESPECIALLY her Side Special!

Moveset:
Flandre's moves will revolve around the elements of Fire and Slicing. She will be lightweight (About Toon Link's weight) and fast (Also like TL).

A: Flandre swings her Lævateinn horizontally, causing about 3% damage with Slicing effect and SFX. Very low Knockback.

AA: She swings vertically this time, from down to up, and sends the opponent in the air slightly, also with Slicing effects, SFX, and damage of maybe 4%?

AAA: As the opponents in the air, she basically teleports over him, and Swings downward doing about 5% damage, sending the enemy to the ground. Same Slicing effects/SFX.

Foreward tilt: Similar to Wolf's, she step's foreward and swings the Lævateinn, which can be sweetspotted.

Up tilt: Her wings fold backward over her head (So the crystals point upward) and they grow and shrink quickly, causing Slicing damage of 8% with slicing effects and sound effects.

Down Tilt: Peach's down-smash with Slicing damage, causing 3% damage for every hit. Slicing damage and SFX.

Up Smash: Flandre uses the Laevetinn, and spins it in a above her head. It's a trap move, and causes 4% damage and hits 4 times. Slicing damage and SFX.

Side Smash: Flandre does a series of three, quite fast slices with the Laevetinn. The first does slicing effects and 5% damage, the second swing does fire effects and 8% damage, and the last does both Fire and Slicing effects, with 10% damage and high knockback.

Down smash: Flandre Stabs the Ground with the Laevetinn, causing stone/ground effects and MediumHigh knockback with 8% damage.

Neutral special: Flande shoots 5 Spikes ahead of her. High range, but low damage, about 2% each hit. Slicing effects when come in contact with enemy.

Side Special: Flandre creates a large Blade from Flame, and swings it horizontally. Exactly what is shown in the video at 0:03. MediumHigh Knockback with Fire effect when in contact with enemy, 15% damage.

Down special: Flandre throws 4 energy orbs into the air, and they fall to the ground, two on the left of Flandre and two on the right. When they hit the ground, they cause small explosions. While in the air, they cause buring damage of about 2% damage. When they explode, thay cause 5-8%.

Up special: Her wing crystals explodes, causing a spike on enemies, 7-8% damage, and pushing her upward strongly.

Neutral Special Air: Flandre shoots 8 short-range spikes around her, much like she does in EOTSD. They cause 2-3% damage and move the enemy away frim Flandre. They can also bounce off of floors and walls, much like R.O.B.'s laser.

Side Special Air: Flandre moves at a supersonic speed in the either the right of left direction (Depending on whether >B or <B was being pressed). It is basically Lucario’s Up Special, only it goes farther and causes fire damage.

Back air: Flandre Lifts her wings up (so the crystals point behind her) and she swings them downward, causing slicing damage of 8% and a spike.

Foreward air: Flandre does a front flip while using her Lævateinn to cause slicing damage of 5% and a spike.

Down Air: Flandre Closes her wings like a pair of scissors
 downward, causing 5% damage.

Up air: same as down air except up.

Final smash:
Flandre's Final smash, minus the soccer ball. ;)

So how's the work going to be split up? Well, I guess the more Expirienced PSA hackers will get the more complicated moves. Wave is Probobly the most expirienced, so he will most likely get the special moves.

But before I do that, I need to make some animations for her.

BUT before I do THAT, someone needs to edit Flandre's PSA to make her have three jumps, and make her about mario's Height. Can someone do that?  :)

Here's a download to her PSA, so please use that to make any edits to her size, jumps, or anything else. Her models and Motionect are also included if you need to try the changes in-game.

No, this'll be my fourth balanced one actually. o_o (For an example, has everyone forgotten about when I balanced and fixed Jose Gallardo's CC Shadow 3.0? I had it named at Shadow Plus)

By the way, does anybody know how to use Fortwaffle's MDL0 resizer? I think that's what I want to do to change Flandre's size.

you change the size of a char. in attributes, change the number under weight i think.  If not, look at a thread that shows which controls size.  Also the jump thing could be changed in attributes also, which is what high five probably did.

I'm currently working on her height. And yes, I'm using PSA's attribute functions to edit her height. It's pretty guess and check right now. I haven't gotten time to check my edits to see if they're right.

Thanks Dotz. Quick question, do you know how to use the MDL0 resizer? I would rather change the size of the model itself than waste space on the PSA.

well, If I am correct, then a vertex hack is applied to a texture, not an entire psa, which would affect all textures. If I'm not, then... idk.

Yeah you do. No changes have been made to the PSA. We're waiting for the updated size before we do any PSA work. Meanwhile, I'm doing animations. :P

I tried to fix it, but Yoshi's wings are far too complex for it to be fixed.

I *think* I'll be looking in to modifying her jumps. I mean, three Falco standard jumps equal a near Meta Knight recovery, not to mention her Up Special. That's a pretty scary recovery. I'm thinking around the height of Link's jumps.

seriously, though. balance is overrated. people had so much fun with brawl before everyone became paranoid over metaknights unbalanced (fast) moveset, and other stuff.

whatever though. as long as it's flandre, and not suckish, I'm cool.

Imported from what?! are you guys forgetting that touhou is a danmaku shooter made by a single person? there's no way that could be imported from anything. (unless ZUN is making a 3d touhou game that you are somehow involved in) that appears to be a cell-shaded model with a cartoony outline.

You're all wrong!! This is a fan-made model for the Miku-miku dance. I was able to find a patch to import it to Blender, and export it, so I may use it to vertex it over pit with the new vertex hacking method.

OR, there is a programmer I'm a friend with named TCLL, who is scripting an exporter from Blender as the MDL0 file type!!

I don't think you could use the conform thingy on Reimu because it doesn't work on things like cloth and hair (things that move in the wind and whatnot) and those floppy sleeves look like they would move quite a bit in the wind...

I don't know if it's lifeless looking, look at any model in BrawlBox, they look lifeless there too, though it would need animations... Like eye animations, mouth animations, whatever.

However, I do agree she is WAY too thin, she needs shape or something...

Well, If anyone really cares for my opinion, here's the three things I see wrong with the model.

1) She looks Anorexic...

2) Her shirt is supposed to be attatched to her dress, not a separate piece with her stomach showing.

3) She looks too old. I'm sorry, but Reimu is supposed to be 15 years old. Not 20 or however the picture looks. My stupid opinion though.

I just found out something! there's this code that allows you to have more than one PSA on one character! it's called clone engine (I think) so either way I can get scarlet.

Well, really, the Flandre that you already had was amazing enough to make a Flandre... the model would be really nice, but it's just not possible right now.

But Roo means that he can't vertex hack Pit into Flandre because the method he's using isn't cooperating and that until a major breakthrough in model importing comes around, this project isn't really going anywhere.

Well you could start a ''Team Project with custom animations a la Cloud Strife'' with a Flandre Scarlet vertex over peach and animations ported from zelda(for the magic) and marth(for her weapon) or you use the vertex hack over zelda that was just released and port animations from marth and make a mix of weapon and magic animations

Both of you make good points and suggestions. Sumire Omlette, are you aware yet that a programmer and friend of mine named TCLL is making scripts for blender to fully import and export files as MDL0's? He has already demonstrated importing FULL models into Blender, and the ability to edit their verticied and put them back in brawl!! After thats done, there wont be any need for Uber-hexing like RandomTBush does. Even if I where to ask him to hex Flandre in for me, I'd doubt he'd do it. Reason being that, unlike you and Wave, he isn't a fan of Touhou, and he doesn't take requests randomly.

Well ok, you know which character your going to port over, and you know the rough height..
so why not finnish a moveset. And since the animations use the same bones that the vertex will.. make the new animations.
Finnish the PSA ready for when the vertex is done.

I'd rather have it be done through PSA, because if you notice, size edited through the motionect causes some frames to be regular-sized during certain animations.

Just try out Kurobit's recent Youmu Konpaku hack from ESH. When walking, stop, and you'll see for a single frame, Yomu is back to Marth's regular height. There is no way to fix it as of yet. I encountered a similar Problem when I worked on Deoxys with Fireking220.

Plus, it's just easier overall than having to edit EVERY one of Flandre's animations.

Well its not terrible, but Pits vertices are a pain in the ass to work with and usually screw up after exportation. But its going ok.

We are vertexing again to improve the model, Pit is a better base.

Yeah thats not the finnished product.

If your gonna blame anyone for it taking a long time, blame me. I've just been trying to get the "perfect" match for this project. And Pit was the one, and Darkshade offered to edit it.

If you ask me, It's looking AWESOME so far DS. I'm gonna have to ask Kurobit how he got those Anime-style eyes to work on Marth for his Youmu hack.

The only thing I could suggest for the model other than the obvious things, is to make her head rounder. Other than that though, it's completely up to you. ^^

 this is taking awhile cuz roo and darkshade had to learn the new vertex method. And they want to make the model perfect so they are taking there time also remember all of us working on this have eithur little to no free time or are working on other stuff as well.
Also a note is DS requested me to do some of my texture mapping magic so I will be mapping the texture from the flandre model onto pit.

Well truth is, it is REALLY difficult to vertex Pit into Flandre. It's especially MORE difficult to find someone who can export models from 3DS after using the new method, for I can't. :(\

I have already finished a hack for Cirno, but I cant find anyone who will export for me. If someone can do it, I can continue the project.

Its still being worked on. Progress has and is being made with the actual PSA. So This technically, it still belongs here.

Guys, I for really want to get this to work but... my skills of a vertex hacker are extremely lacking. Especially as seeing how I cannot use the new method, due to nobody willing to help me export my progress. >:(
I'd do it myself, but I always mess up somehow.

Besides, my vertex hack wouldn't turn out being too good anyways. Note: I have NOT under any circumstances givin up on this project. It is still my main hacking achievement, and I will not stop hacking until it is complete. I am going to work on this project, and this one alone for now, until it is fully, and finally comeplete!!

Well its really confusing. I can attempt to vertex Pit into Flandre using a model I found, and have it come out horrifying, HOWEVER, I could also wait for TCLL's MDL0 converter, which is coming along surprisingly quickly.

She looks too old. Flandre, while being 495 years old, looks like she's about 10.

I'm just saying this hypothetically, but wouldn't it be easier to develop the PSA moveset before working on the model? Hell, you could even make it for one of the Flandre vertexes already in the Vault.

I cant really do that, seeing as we dont EXACTLY know who flandre is going over yet. We could say pit, but that could change over time, due to the need of articles for certain attacks.
