NOTE: His cloak kinda reflects things, so it'll look odd on some stages.

Moveset:
AAA: Kenpachi Slashes with his sword.
SideA: Kenpachi performs a long horizontal slash.
Side Smash: Kenpachi steps forward and slams his sword downward.
Up-Tilt: Kenpachi slashes upward.
Down-Tilt: Kenpachi slashes downward.
Down Smash: Kenpachi slams his sword into the ground. This move is very powerful, but has quite a bit of endlag.
NeutralB: Kenpachi thrusts his sword forward, like Marth's NeutralB.

AA Combo- Jabs with hilt of sword (Looks horrible.... Needs a lot of work) then punches.

^Yeah, I probably need to add a few more things to spice it up. If by "Custom" you mean completely original attacks (No anim swaps) then it's pretty much in the middle.
If anyone tests it feel free to voice complaint/suggestions etc.

Plagiarizing is when you're taking someone's work and claiming it as your own, even if you alter it. This is all you. Besides, Nintendo's and Sega's characters where altered completely because of us for we made it ourselves. They, and Phantom Wings, made it possible for all this so don't think you're taking anyone's work.

^That thought occurred to me after I finished the post.... The up smash starts off the same, but instead of stabbing, he has the sword levitate over his palm and spin around, dealing large amounts of damage.

The A attack has pretty much zero range and the forward tilt doesn't function properly. It shouldn't be too hard to fix though.

Almost done with the up smash, still working on the PSA though.
EDIT: Testing Upsmash. Why does PSA take so long to save? If there are no problems it should be done soon.

Up smash- Failure. Collisions aren't working. Maybe it's because I accidentally deleted some of the flags.....
If I can't get it working I'll switch it back to the old one before I upload.
EDIT: Wait animations are fixed! No more failed looping. :)
EDITAGAIN: Works! Hitbox is slightly off, shouldn't be too hard to fix. Upload soon.
EDIT3: I think I'll call it ShineMarth.... I figured out how to make a shining graphic effect to appear, and it might help me to decide the rest of the moves.

Can you find a way to copy Link's pummel attack as his A combo? I mean, change the animation from the left arm, to the right one. Link hits people with the hilt of his sword, and seeing what you had already for the A combo, reminded me of that.

^Sorry for not responding. It's going alright I guess, most of the bugs are fixed but I'm having a bit of trouble with a move I'm trying to add. I'm running out of ideas as well.

Well you could have Marth "fall asleep" for his counter and while he's asleep anyone who attacks him gets countered with an attack that gives a lot of damage but instead of making them fly away they fall asleep instead so you land a smash attack.

 For the side B you could have him throw his sword like his B attack. Or you could have him use the Flash Step like Bankai Ichigo from SSF2 (http://mcleodgaming.wikia.com/wiki/Shunpō)

 His B attack instead of the throw should have Marth charge up for a flash attack dealing 20% damage. Each charge level should increase the radius of the flash. There should be 15 to 30 charges so it covers the battle field but the side effect is that for each charge you gain 5% damage.

His AAA should have him push the victim forward, teleports behind the person or at least a few feet away from his original spot and swipes the opponent into the air, and teleports again in the air between the distance where he teleported and spikes the person back down a little to the left near where he was in the beginning so Marth can continue the assault/combo. Or you can have Marth do the Multi-Slash performed by Ichigo from SSF2 (http://mcleodgaming.wikia.com/wiki/Multislash) and if you hold A Marth keeps slashing at the same speed. If an enemy attacks you while slashing or a projectile goes your way you take no hit because you're invincible while slashing and you reflect the projectile back.

His side smash up should have him toss a deku nut flash at the opponent with it acting just like the nut; shield-break stuns on ground.

His down smash should have Marth stab into the ground like Ichigo in SSF2 with the same multi-hit and knock back but the entrance graphics appear when he stabs the ground.

His up smash should have Marth jump up REALLY high, as high as halfway up the bridge of eldin 2 V2 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=13919&Moderated=All#ByUserID=7470&Moderated=All), raising up the people he catches on the way up with him and when he goes down he thrusts his sword down like Ichigo's down B in SSF2 (http://mcleodgaming.wikia.com/wiki/Down_Swipe) and spikes the opponents down.

His up B should be the Rising Sword Blade performed by Ichigo from SSF2 (http://mcleodgaming.wikia.com/wiki/Rising_Sword_Blade)

His up aerial should have him still use the animation of his original up aerial but he twirls his sword like his current up smash.

Alright, I'm making progress. Flash step and the jumping up smash are nearing completion, and I think I'll use that charging flash attack for down B. Although I think I made him jump a little too high on the up smash.

No jump is too high as long as it does what it does. Maybe you can make him take damage depending on the charge level. I'm likin' this :3

Well that seems a little drab. How about he jumps up to the right/left edge of the stage(depends where he faces since he goes backwards), points his sword towards the stage and fires off multiple bullets of light like in the image(http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100630093561/bleach/en/images/2/2a/CeroMetralleta.gif) at the stage and basically blowing it up, killing anybody caught in the cascade of light instantly.

Maybe either #6F, #71, big #4As, or big #73s(with #82 trailing behind it like a comet tail) and #70 and/or #47 could be in front of Marth as he shoots, and at the end the stage blows up with a huge #65. EDIT: I'm not sure when to update to a newer version.... Should I finish everything I had in mind, or should a release it earlier? Also: My focus is now on the flash attack, so that should be done soon enough.

Alright, I'm making BIG progress on the AAA combo, just need to refine the animation a bit. It looked really weird when you used just the AA and not the full thing, so I have him set to jump back to his original position if you don't use the third move. Also: I'm making a bit of progress on the charging flash attack, but not much. And since I downloaded all of the fitmotions into a folder (Took FOREVER) I can use some more swapped anims. As for the Final Smash, I haven't really done much, so it's still a work in progress.

I think I'll have the multislash as Attack100 and the rest as the teleporting ones.

EDIT: Alright, I'm going fix (Hopefully) the final smash now. I need to: Resize the GFX, change their offsets, make sure Marth doesn't sink into the floor, and edit the collisions.
EDIT2: I feel oddly productive today. I'm working on the forward smash, but I'm not certain i got the generate item right.

Well maybe the sink into the floor can be useful? In case Marth is not invincible during the FS he can be safe. It can also be for a cool visual effect (MINDGAMES, son):3 Light is, after all, intangible. It can go through things easily.

^Sounds like a good idea. But then I'd have to offset all of the collisions above him, but it shouldn't be too much trouble. Is it possible to change the size of a GFX to half, or will it just freeze?

EDIT: I'm going to test what I have, bugfix, and potentially release.
EDIT2: LOL, I accidentally had it spawn a Mr. Saturn. Though that gives me an idea....
EDIT3: He spawns the deku nut now, but drops it right in front of him and hits himself with it..... Anyway, I'm nearing completion of V.06, expect it soon.

Update. I haven't really done all that much, admittedly. I was mainly working on the Xemnas PSA for Aafyre's vertex, so I guess I'm changing the thread title to "Fliptocat's PSAs".  I'll post Xemnas updates here now.

Cool! I'm stuck in a serious downpour. It's a good thing my earphones drown out outside sound cause it sounds like a bunch of people keep falling against the glass and panels. It's so drab.

Maybe he could do something like Double Team from Pkmn but TONS of clones appear all over the place and flick the opponent off(middle finger/ the Bird). It'll make the opponent sh*t bricks XD You can replace an external graphic model with a model of Xemnas.

Another could be he slowly turns white and light-like graphics could appear all over his body and then explode off of him, hitting the entire stage and either tripping them or put them in a shield-break stun.

I just saw this PSA this morning and I think it looks awesome so far. Sorry I haven't been able to comment on this earlier but my computer died this past Friday so I haven't been online much. I'm really curious how the down smash looks in game because it looks great in the pictures.

How about Ganondorf's spinning laugh taunt as one of Xemnas' taunts? That seems to fit him pretty well. His victory taunts go pretty well here too. Pit has some good taunts to look at too.

I know I'm just a noob, but I've been looking at your PSA and I think it's awsome (OBVIOUSLY). Remember the final move he uses when he shoots a thousand yellow beams at Sora and Riku and you have to keep smashing the square and cross buttons to reflect them, well is it possible to give him a move like that or is it too late? Mabye you could somehow copy the Down-Special from Geno's PSA or somthing as it looks remarkably similar. Just a suggestion.

Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing how this comes out.

Thanks for the taunt ideas everyone, I'll get working on those. And in response to Original_Brawler's question, yeah, I'm going to try to get that to work. He'll have Balanced and broken versions. Oh, and one more question for everyone, what should the wait poses be? I have a wait1, but I don't have 2 or 3. Any ideas?

EDIT: I'll release an early version by the end of the week.

Xemnas is Great! He has a Unique Playstyle which makes him fun to use.

Only problems is that:
Neutral B: Fully Charged has shorter range then not charged at all.
Down Air: Damage is Alot. Should be Nerfed for finaly version.

Finally got the chance to give this a good test and I must say it's good fun!  Here's a pretty lengthy feedback on what I think of it so far (take note that this is coming from somebody that knows nothing about Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, I'm just going by how fun it is to play with):

AAA - One of the worst moves.  Not because it's bad, but because it never connects with the 3rd hit.  I think you should make the second hit send the opponent backwards (direction B4) instead of forwards so that the 3rd hit can connect.  Also, the sword glow for the 3rd hit is weird.  It has the glow it's supposed to, plus an extra really big glow that is a fair bit far out.

F Tilt - Very nicely executed.  Wolf's F Tilt worked great.  I really liked how you did the sweetspot at the swords.

U Tilt - Pretty good, though I think it would work better if it did two hits.  Since it works like Falco's U Tilt, it has a pretty long end lag for just one hit.  But still it looks cool.

D Tilt - Well it's unchanged and it works alright.  If you're not gonna change it that's fine, but it would definitely be nice to see some sort of a change for the V1 release

Dash Attack - I think this just needs to be a tad faster to be honest.  It's a nice move definitely but a tad too slow for a dash attack.  Also, I think there should be two hitboxes for the move since he does two slashes.

F Smash - I freakin LOVE this move.  I think this is really cool!  Though it's strange how his legs don't move whilst the body does.  If you want to fix this, remove everything in the Other section of the AttackS4S subaction.  There's a certain event that makes it so his legs cannot go off the ground and that's what's causing the strange animation.

U Smash - Packs a nice punch definitely.  I have little to say about this apart from the animation could be tighter.  It looks a tad stiff at the moment.

D Smash - Very well done and slick animation for this one.  Even slowed down to 1/4 speed it looks super smooth.  I really don't have anything to say here.

N Air - The animation looks great, but the hitbox is difficult to land.  Considering that the N Air is a could be a core combo move, I think that you should make the hitbox bigger and set it to bone 0 (then translate it upwards) so that the hitbox is the size of his entire body.

F Air - Link's F Air works perfectly here.  Like the F Tilt, I think that this move was very well executed.

B Air - Again, like the F Air it works perfectly I think.

U Air - The power and animation are fine, though I think the graphics could use with a bit of tightening.  I honestly don't think you need to repeat the graphic multiple times in this case since it lasts for a decent amount of time anyways.

D Air - It's already been said that this move is far too powerful.  30%, high speed and a guaranteed trip are all a bit crazy.  Three of these then a F Smash and opponent is good as dead.

Neutral B - Like Ayzer said, the range is a bit off.  Other than that it's a pretty nice move.  I like how the strongest hit box is at close range, but the long range one is good for catching to opponent off guard.

Up B - Since he kind of hovers in the air when he does the Up B one the ground, I assume you wanted him to rise upwards?  If so, you should make him rise upwards in the animation in Brawlbox, check the "Moves Character" box in the Animation Flags, and in the Up B Action tab, replace what you have for Set Edge/Slide and Set Air/Ground with this:

Set Edge/Slide: 5
Set Air/Ground: Undefined 11 (17)

That way he will definitely go upwards.

The other specials are unchanged so I won't say anything about them (same with the Final Smash).

Throws are all good, though the forward one puts the opponent in a rather strange position (I have the same problem with Shadow's U Throw XD)

The taunts are all cool too.

Overall I think that this is a great PSA.  Good work!

^Yeah, I fixed the animations (Took forever tho) and he'll be over whoever he works over, I had him over Link before but his sword didn't show up, so I moved him to Marth. Marth has way to many PSA's though, so I'm going to find someone else he works over, maybe Falco or Ike.

And Ikkaku sounds like a good idea, good luck. :P

Funny part, i found a way to make them use Brawl Animations...

it's a rather simple process. i don't see why people will complain about animators anymore for model imports after my little discovery (if it's not already discovered)

Put him over Falco, or Jiggly puff, or yoshi, or olimar, Rob, Fox, or over one of the many pokemon, and you can have a whole bunch of captain switc outs lol.

and yes the method does involve renaming bones but not the characters bones.

how about the bones that the CHR0 is referreing to? after you get a one template done. like a wait one, then you immitate it for the rest. i might do this for all the animations that would be needed like "ledge grabbing to drowning to walking"

either way, i am doing this for my little project, it's a dirty and cheap shortcut, but it's very effective.

But what i don't get is what is happening to Byakuya's left leg, it's all screwed up!

and i don't know how to fix the glitches i am experiencing with byakuya lol.

^I don't think he has the actual bones, but I can substitute. I know TransN, HipN, and HaveN'll work, but I'm not sure about throwN, maybe I'll just add an extra bone.

^Yeah,  have Tabuu. I'm pretty sure I can fix the glitches myself for the most part, but thanks for the advice.
On another note, I went through the annoying process of fixing all of Aizen's animations, in hopes that I would find something I could use, and I ended up finding about five good animations..... I'm going to go check out some other animations and see if I can get any more good ones..... Does anyone want his fixed animations? I can send them to ya if so.

Update: I've got him over Jigglypuff right now, any objections to having him over Jiggs?

Alright, updated moveset and pics. I think his cape reflecting thing looks pretty cool on some stages. Some glitches I've still gotta fix are: His cape turns black sometimes, He freezes when you jump (Stupid mistake on my part, easily fixable), and the Grabbing glitch. And it's pretty funny hearing him squeak like Jiggs. Comments?

Progress update. I fixed a bunch of his hitboxes, and added in a couple more animations. Oh, and when you hit with the tip, he does more damage with less knockback then when you hit with the base of the blade. Although he's way overpowered right now, his side smash tip does 34 damage. XD And I changed his item throw velocity,  though I accidentally made it waay to high, so when you throw items at someone they take 60+ damage lol. A couple things are really annoying me though. For one, he sometimes teleports into the middle of the stage for 1 frame during an animation, and two, his coat turns black when you are attacked. I'll have to ask someone if these can be fixed......
And you can grab him just fine, I just need to fix the glitch where he explodes into a million polygons.

looks a lot better, and about the testing, i'd say finish it more before any early release...
no specials, u didnt even disable them, they're just jigg's specials in a T-pose...
jump is T-pose, and the animations in general are
1-too simple
2-the wait animations dont connect...

side-B is kinda too simple, idk, just looks like a smash attack to me

Alright, thanks for the feedback. I didn't replace Jigg's jump because it crashes if I replace it for some reason. :/ So I had to make my own. And for the specials, I'll disable them, although I'm getting close to finishing his down special. What do you mean by the wait animations? I took 'em all from the Bleach vs. Crusade ones, so yeah. And side B...... Maybe I'll move it to another slot and think of something else.

^It's going alright. Can't do much on him for the time being but I'm going to fix the grabbing glitch soon. I've been thinking that he needs different attacks for his specials instead of just random sword strikes. These are what I came up with (Suggestions welcome)
Neutral B: Slashes with a wave of Reiastu that sends opponents flying.
Up B: No idea.
Down B: Flares his Reiatsu, stunning and heavily damaging those around him.
Side B: No idea.

Just to suggest a couple potentials here that might spark some interest.
Up B: I get the feeling a flash step variant of some sort might feel about right here. Short range teleport, controllable direction, ends facing opposite. Good for headgames and closing, which Kenpachi himself would probably approve of.
Side B:Something akin to Ike's quickdraw(yeah yeah, lynch me after I finish if you still want to), only instead of slashing at the end of the dash, instead activate a diffrent short range teleport; this one only one or two steps back, and slightly above the starting point(good for any aerial setup, especially with the reach of that sword).

IMHO, you could also turn that neutral B into an armor pose of some sort - since he is traditionally very resilient to blades and so forth; maybe a time based low-level super armor on a short timer that'll give him the opportunity to just wade through a quick character's blows just long enough to really land a good shot.

 Just a couple thoughts, hope they help.

I think my largest pointer as far as his technique is actually pretty simple; Unlike... well, pretty much everyone else in Bleach(as far as I've watched it, anyhow), Kenpachi doesn't abuse 'special' techniques to win, he relies more upon his own skill with a blade, and his own physical ability, intentionally internalizing that massive Reiatsu(sp? I never can remember that one.) in favor of beating his opponent tactically. Not to mention, it's pretty much because of all that that he's so damn imposing.
It's like he ENJOYS bringing a knife to a gunfight; and he keeps winning just that way. =)

Yeah, he's pretty different from the other characters in Bleach, that's the reason I picked him (Not to mention he's my favorite bleach char). I'll have to get a good graphic effect for his reiastu(No idea how to spell it either.) because there' nothing I can think of that would work for it at the moment.  And watching these videos things happen to fast for me to get a good look at 'em.... I'll have to analyse them a bit more closely.....

Alright, JokeKid, I fixed the wait position transitions. I also fixed the starting and charging animations for the smashes. He has two jumps like a normal character now, a grabbing animations, a ledge grab animation, and his landing animation is fixed. I'll probably disable all specials but the up special for the beta, it's the only one that really needs to be there.

^Yup. For most major animations he shouldn' T-pose. I just now added the Downed animation, in fact. Do you want him to have swimming and footstool animations for the beta? I can do it, but it'd be annoying...... What about item throws?
Also, looking at the model import betas on the vault, some are really unfinished. I already have twice as much done as certain ones.....

^Just curious, but why? The only thing that bothers me is that some of them are really half-done and not viable for competitive play. By the beta release time, I'll have most, if not all of his attacks finished, except for maybe the final smash, since I have to make a another moveset for that. I'm going fix the glitches, as well, but the only one that absolutely has to be fixed by the beta time is the thrown glitch.

Oh, and do you want to test it again before the release?

^You mean the flickering? I don't know why he does it, but during some animations, he'll teleport to the center of the stage for a frame or so, then teleports right back. Really confuses me, seeing as it only happens with some animations.
Anyway, I can't get his eyepatch to come off during the FS. D: So that means that you all will have to deal with it. It'll be gone in the overpowered version though.

wait what's with the random teleports?

Fliptocat, try checking the animations that cause teleporting and make sure all the unks on the right are set to 0.

Then open the PSA and open a simple animation subaction (one that wouldn't have code in it, like Wait or Run) that causes teleporting. Open Main and Other and delete everything inside. (For example, Nel's polygons would explode only on some animations. By deleting event "18000100" in Main, I fixed it).

And for extra measure, open the mdl0 up in a hex editor and go to offset 4B and change the byte to 00.

Hopefully that helps fix it :)
(And about the eye patch... you can remove it temporarily with PSA. Event 0B000200, but idk how to use it... you'd have to test values)

Thank you! :) Especially on the flickering, that was so annoying. X_X I'll post in a while on if it fixes it or not.
And for the event, SqLeon told me that was how he did Ichigo's hollow mask, he said it was called model changer.

EDIT: I fixed the thrown glitch, now he just dies whenever he's thrown.

Well, I'm working on the animations for the aerials from scratch, I think it's helping me get better at animating. ^_^ Only one finished right now is B-Air, but that's just because I'm lazy. Oh, and he still flickers. T_T
Also yay for new sig. :af2:

EDIT: When would people like to see the beta released? Should I take my time and release it when I feel its ready, or release it soon? I would make a poll, but then I'd have to make a new topic......

idk, cuz kenpachi is rarely in the air...
and rarely uses any attack that isnt frontal...
he's so simple in style...
just go forward, if u find sumthing destroy it, but never dodge...

i think u should maybe disable his dodges... and give a useful counter instead of it... idk

I voted release when you feel it's ready, and I'll elaborate a bit; It's good to have a test group who can playtest and help you work out the bugs you might not have noticed whilst testing with your own playstyle, whilst a public release should wait until you, as well as whoever you might choose to test, are satisfied that it looks and acts like it should.

On the other topic, Aerials:
I'm thinking simple is best here, so I'll run with that; but don't decomplexify the guy; just because he chosen approach is strength versus strength doesn't mean he doesn't actually know any other tactics.
Up Aerial: Simple is good. an upswing, starting in front, ending in back, in a 3/4 circle pattern starting just about eye level.
Down Aerial: Well, let's look at that brute force again; a downwards chop(Sideways, somewhat like Ike's) that hangs below him as he comes down, likely a second hand supporting the blade so as to put all his weight and power into it; to differentiate a bit, you could add a backwards swat to this on landing, making it an ideal way to maintain spacing in favor of that same, frontal approach. The initial swing would, of course, be more powerful, but proper spacing allows him to use it as a tool in more than one way, mixing up his game a bit.

Maybe not 100% appropriate, but I can see you do need to improvise a bit; bringing out that tactical planning aspect of his style might be just the ticket to make playing a bit more interesting. Remember, the man sure does love his mindgames, even when he is testing his might.

Also, I get bored without multiple projects at once, so that's why I made this poll, plus I want to see what the populace wants most.
Please note the possibility that since Kenpachi is an import, it could be quite some time before he is finished. It is entirely possible for me to finish whatever wins the poll before Kenpachi.

smash forward should obviously be a slam with his backpack, but i dont think that'll be possible T.T
up B could be somehow like pit's up B, but with kazooie flapping her wings xD

@starlaladim, There are NO Banjo Kazooie PSAs, so I don't see any valid reason I shouldn't make him. It's my poll, I'm going to do whatever wins, regardless of what you think should.

I'd love to see a Banjo PSA. Only problem is I'm going to start playing a lot more Project M, meaning a lot of PSAs won't be balanced around it.

a few banjo ideas:
replace fireball with yoshi egg (retexture to fit kazooie's eggs)
now, here come the ideas:

specials:
NB: kazooie's tipical attack(she comes out attacks 3 times and hides back)
air NB: the same but u keep in the air while doing it
SB: egg shoot ,maybe make probabilities for different egg effects(normal, fire, ice, explosive)
UB: kazooie comes out, does a wing slap and u jump high, very high...
DB: kazooie lays an egg? or shoots an egg backwards?
air DB: totally different, drill attack!!!!!

smash attacks:
SS: i dont know if its possible, but a bag smash would be best fitting here
US: kazooie pops out and attacks upwards...
DS: banjo pics up his bag(if possible) and attack like link in his down smash, forward and backwards...

for the bag, u could replace mario's cape...
i could try vertexing it for u if u'd like to, i just dont know what model i should use...

yep. If you switch the b moves you can make kazooie's egg type change based on the control stick input (if you hold right after neutral b, fire; left, explosive; etc.).

Personally I think the peck attack (where Kazooie comes out 3 times) would be cool for an Up Smash attack, almost like how Link's is, having multiple hits.

For the side-b, that move where Banjo and Kazooie slide forward along the ground (z + b in the game) would be neat. It could even be chargeable, similar to Ike's.

Hey, maybe you could somehow make his DB in the air (if you're keeping jokekid's idea) act like Toon Link's, but you'll go straight through the foe, but if you hold down the B button, he'll momentarily float in the air while starting to spin upward a tad and then dive downward and if it hits the opponent it will become a multiple hitter for approximately 8 hits of 1% damage each, the last hit being 2 or 3% maybe, and will start to fall at normal speed afterwards.

It is just that a character like Banjo and Kazooie, I don't imagine them very well in a fighting game, even in ssbb, but be careful, I say this because I've only played the first on n64, I played one on gba, but I don't remember a lot. And with the movements, I don't really know what can be put for him, I don't really know all of his movements after all. This is why I don't imagine him well in Ssbb, for now, because I'm sure when the Psa will be completed that I will change of opinion! :laugh:

Hey, I just thought of something. If you haven't decided on his Final Smash yet, then I'd like to make a suggestion. Maybe you could make his Final Smash be like Snake's, but it would be like in this video:

You could even make Kazooie partially visible during it like when you enter the Mayan Temple.
Oh, and one more thing. If you haven't, you could maybe give him a glide like Pit/MetaKnight's. ;D

try using haveN projectiles instead of actually editing the article, just call the article grafically and let the egg come out following the haveN bone ^^
