I tried everything, I have v1.04, and no matter what xml I use, it crashes before the game even starts. the file patch works for me, but I want sounds with mine!!!

Also check the codeset and make sure you have the needed files like that gameconfig file.

copy that into notepad and save it as gameconfig.txt, however all that does is allow u to go past the 255 code limit. its not likely the cause of ur freezing. make sure u do not have the file patch code in ur gct if ur using riivo.

Im facing a similar problem, no matter which tutorial i try to follow, and which Xml i use, the game loads brawl, but crashes after i try to load any hack.

Currently have a thread going to try to get help on how to fix this, not getting any positive results though...

and ur gct? do u have it in .txt form?

You know I'm having the exact same problem. It kept freezing at a black screen before the strap loader came up. But now it just freezes on the Riivolution menu when trying to launch it.

I had the GCTs taken off and disabled the function for the FPC to be used on it but that didn't work and someone said to check my Wii System Time, what does that have to do with this?

system time O.o that shouldn't effect anything. the gct can cause issues tho. for instance if u have a gct with the file patch code inside it, it won't work right.

Well I have a GCT placed back in without the FPC, just two codes for Ike to uses Marth's Animations for his Roy PSA Model hack. But even that, Riivolution freezes before the game can even load, its stuck at Loading... and its becoming a hassle. I don't know what else to do. Plus earlier, when I went into the Homebrew Channel, the Wii suddenly slapped a System Files was Corrupted message but when I restarted the Wii, it was fine. o.o

Well I'm gonna give up hope on Riivolution, its clearly not working for me on my Wii anymore. No matter what I do, having no GCT or having one without FPC in it, Riivolution freezes when it goes Loading... when attempting to launch...No I can never use SFX hacks :<

At least I still haz Gecko and hope that the next FPC would support SFX hacks cuz this sux. ;~;

I dun get it, Riivolution didn't crash on me at all, it happened after I was replacing this one Samus/ZSuitSamus hack where she was the SA-X after I tried Riivolution again, thats when it stopped working. I even had the FPC enabled and it never frozed up on me

the prob w/ FPC is that the textures would usually switch back to normal and  it severely pisses me off

But yus, I'm just gonna give up on the Riivolution, seriously I tried everything from removing certain files, to deleting Riivolution and reinstall it on Wii. I mean EVERYTHING, nothing works. They better come up with an update for 1.05 soon or I will go nutz. Or Update FPC to 3.5.2 cuz this is lubricious!

ur menu may be going bad if thats the case, thats usually when that error shows. if u made a back up on bootmii i would highly recomend restoring it priiloader helps too.

and as for sound effect hacks i just use a usb loader. most support gecko too

USB Loader is a application used to play Wii ISOs through your USB drive. You have format your USB thumbdrive into a format so that the Wii can read it and your able to load your Wii Backups from it. You can also use it to load DVDs that you burned your backups too, I think, I haven't used it in awhile but here is the site for more info.

I dont really want to get into burning iso, i just want riivolution to work

with a usbloader, you don't have to burn anything, you just have t oget the iso file from your disc and put it on a usbdrive/stick whatever

I think you need to use Wii Scrubber, though I never used it so I don't know how. But thats how people extract data for the ISO for a game I think

with a usb loader u just put ur disc in ur wii and theres an option on the app to rip from disc it sets it up for u all ready to use. anyway back to riivo what system menu do u have?
