Title: ASH is evil...
Post by: Hakumen on September 28, 2009, 10:47:49 PM
I got a .bin, decompressed it, and renamed the .out to .pac. I ran it through step1, and ASH deleted itself along with the folder it was in including all my other stuff.

This file is responsible for all this.

Burn! BURN IT!

It deleted my Project64k folder somehow...

Oh no... It deleted my work... My snapshots of ESH portraits I was going to make... The 70 textures I downloaded I was going to take snapshots of...

All gone... gone...

That file had to be too small to be ASHable.  You sure got unlucky there.  Ironically, some texture parts need ASH since SmashBox could mess them up; usually for textures named tex#00_14, which stands for CMPR in SmashBox.

This happened to me as well.  It deleted all my texturing stuff as well as other things, including my brawl iso.

How does it only get rid of hacking stuff? Does it choose .iso's, textures, and roms by itself? ASH sounds like a suicide bomber.

you aren't supposed to drag anything on a batch file.... that is what deletes loads of crap

Aw, son of a bitch. I did that, now I'm afraid to use ASH ever again, and am worried about what else it will delete if I ever try it.

Have you ever considered saving your files in a different folder? >.>

It really doesn't matter if I did or not, that folder I saved them into might've gotten deleted as well.

So then why didn't all your folders on your computer get deleted?

I mean save it no where near ASH

Private File on Mediafire.
:af:

I don't think they would get deleted there.

Tell me, Oizen, do you save copies of every folder on your hard drive to external sources? If you don't -- and I doubt you do -- I suggest you stop being an ass.

I save all the important stuff on external sources. Including Essays, Homework, photos, ect.

And I do have all my texture stuff saved too.

I all that stuff on my 4GB  USB flash drive,So yes, I do.
