Title: Apoc Hedgie can do Brawl stuff too! (Stages and Characters coming soon) Post by: ApocHedgie on October 26, 2011, 04:20:37 PM Well, some of you guys may know me as "that guy that makes GMod models", or "RTB's brother". Anyway, ever since the new BrawlBox came out I decided I'd like to try my hand at making new things for Brawl.
So far I only have pictures of my current WiP, I'm having trouble exporting it to DAE because of some skinning issues, but once that's done it'll be ready for release: (http://filesmelt.com/dl/Westerny_Mario_thing1.png) And seeing as I don't really have much else right now, I'll list my ideas here so they can be reserved for later.
I'm also open to requests as long as they're not too complex. Keep in mind though I'm involved in a bunch of communities and I do these on my spare time, so it's not like this is my job or something. Any inspiration from there? I've never actually played Red Dead Redemption before, so I didn't really know much about John Marston. I was going for a Ray McCall (on the right) (http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2009/06/call-of-juarez-bound-in-blood-review/Juarez_BoundInBlood27.jpg) from Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. I mean, not only are you making something unique, but you're proving that Model imports don't just have to be characters from other games: they can be used in an almost vertex-like fashion.

I've also thought of a new idea that is incredibly funny and amazing. I'll give two hints about it, 1 it's a player replacement for Olimar, and 2 it's based off of my most played game. So it turns out I'm not actually dead. I finally got off my arse and did something for Brawl. It's not the Western Mario or the Sky Sanctuary stage, but it's arguably better than both of those.
