Thanks, and I'm not really taking requests at the moment as I'm still trying to get adjusted to importing.
Maybe once I get better I'll take requests... but for the moment I'm sorry to say I am not.

Well I wasn't sure on that one. My friend that is a huge TOS2 fan told me Marth would fit best and I think he looks the best over him personally. but who knows I could try making him on Ike later on I'd just prefer to finish him over Marth though.

Emil would work fine on either Marth or Ike. I'm a Tales fan, so I'd know.

Emil is looking awesome! Man, first ShadowSnake does Lloyd and now you're doing Emil? This just gets better and better!

niice to this guy around.. emil is one of my favorite Tales characters. i havent really played anyone with his personality before, havent played that many RPGs to begin with. i got a few friends who also liked the game. friends who dont normaly touch a RPG, especially JRPGs..

looks like hes havin some graphical problems.. heres to a fixed Emil in the end

in case no one knows (i just found out a week about this) theres a other dude thats been working on a imported model AND PSA of Emil for a long while now. hes ripping even the animations too. over falco by da way

Marth's boneset is a female dog to work with >.>
Basically what keeps happening is that the cape bones keep messing with his sheeth making it flow as if it were a cape while his second bone in his shoulder for his armor is causing emil's shoulders to screw up >.< I think I'm going to attempt making him on ike to see if their are similar problems as well...

As you may be able to see, Emil's rigging is almost finished! Just a bit more of cleaning up and he will be perfect!
I'm still needing a sword if anyone has one...

I may try and import genis but at the moment I don't have any others planned.

Also a bit of news, Emil is now fully rigged!
He should be released once i fix all the glitches add a shader and give him a sword (Which I still need >.<)

Emil is over marth. As for his mouth I'm still trying to figure out why his body texture maps to his mouth instead of his mouth textures in brawl but looks fine in brawl box.
As for his sword I'd say go with the best sword in the game, if you can't find that I'd be fine with any sword of his that looked cool. Thanks in advanced for the sword.

It's good that you're focusing on the model rigging first before the texture, I certainly wouldn't want my character to have a bad rig ^+^

I actually need some help rigging Kabuto but I'll try it on my own first.

Lol seems like you might just need some texture help then?

Hell yeah you can! And I'll post another progress pic once I get a sword rigged onto him.

im gonna be watchin this model import closely.. Emil is one of my favorite characters. it looks pretty good so far. the only pieces i see that need fixing is his hair spike thing, the texture of it looks bumping to the side. his right shin needs better alignment to his foot and also his right bracelet thing.

That "spiky hair thing" is Emils cow lick, he always has that.... it's not a problem with the rig lol

But the left wrist thingy does look a little off, only a tiny bit though!

I'll try to fix that up a bit more. As for the shin, I'll see if I can fix that too though I dunno if I can get it perfect. As for the "cow lick" Im not sure if that's a texture problem as I havnt touched the texture at all from the official textures. I'll see what I can do about it though.
I'll try fixing it when I add one of his swords. Thanks for those NZM btw they will come in handy.
As for glitch fixing it's mostly just adding a shafer in brawl that is the glitch fixing. Lastly I plan on doing a rigging video tutorial to help anyone out with it as I was getting so
e questions about it. So expect that sometime soon.
Any who Emil might he released this weekend at the earliest.

I just had an idea!
Why don't you follow a color theme with the swords, you know, for recolors?

Have one model rigged with a Blue-ish sword, one model rigged with a reddish sword etc ^+^
That way you could pick your favorite sword to go with your favorite recolor O_o;;

Also judging from that pose I'm guessing it's going to be over marth

the wristband could be fixed with manual vertexing.. i think, i still dont know if one could mess around a model import's poly's vertexes. about da sword, id honestly would prefer the one hes always carrin around in the cut-scenes. ya know.. the default one. that would be niice though, having all da swords in the download link's folder. id want it so we could choose what sword we want over one's preferred costume.

all you gotta do is hit "replace" in brawlbox with a different sword model and BOOM.. it switches da sword.

Ninka: Can you rigg my models please T-T I can not get these damn envelopes figured out =-=;
Justins tutorial doesn't have anything on how to tweak the envelopes and everything, pluss it's rather buggy :l

Only ones I'd really like you to rig are Kisame (over Ike) and Kabuto (over Snake) The others I'm going to wait until Justin's tutorial is out :l

I actually have Kabuto mostly set up for rigging, Just need to get the envelopes and [censored] working right X_X

PS: If you do rig Kabuto please Rig the kunai polygons to Snakes Have N bones ^+^

Now that looks good.

Dunno who he is, but it's good to see someone put so much work towards the rig to ensure that it looks proper. From what I can tell, everything seems to bend naturally... but it's just a picture, so... XD

Thanks everyone for the nice comments and such! Glad to see some people intrested in my projects.
Added a list of model imports I wanna do to the opening post. See if there are any characters you like! Now while you guys check that I'm gunna try finishing up Emil. He's still got his share of glitches so I gotta kill em'! I prblly wouldn't finished him today but I had some work to do around the house and it looks like i'm doing that tommorow as well >.> hopefully I get some time to work on Emil.

It's pretty unnoticeable in game while fighting but you will see it close up.

Ah, well try re-importing the texture as CMPR and without a pallete and see if it fixes it.

After about 40 minutes of messing with Lloyd and Emil I ended up fixing they're texture problems on their faces. Me and SS are going to be releasing them at the same so expect both Emil and Lloyd soon.

Yeah I'll see what I can do with her.

Anyway poll added! It's not set in stone of which of those are next but I'd love to start one of them. And yeah there are some obscure characters as well as some Triple A characters in the poll. Also anyone that votes gambit please tell me who he should be over as I'm not sure who he'd be best over.
And lastly if Hitosura wins (which I doubt since not many people here play SMT games) I'm going to need help finding his model. Same goes for if Ridley wins, I need his model.

If I don't end up finding his model I could always try to make it from scratch, only thing that'd be difficult really is those damn demon tattoos he has >.< Those would be hella hard to texture right. But yeah for some reason SMT and persona models in general are hard to find.

If ridley ends up winning I will prblly put up a poll on what model to use.

Maybe you should import Wesker from MvC3 instead? I dunno but it'd be cool anyway to see both the MvC3 version of chris as well as the RE5 version I plan on doing.

Here's a preview of one of the recolors for Emil:

It's based of some artwork of some concept art. I personally think it looks epic, so it's going down as a recolor.

and the texture doesn't look as bad as in the above picture.

And I need to finish up some other things and adjust a few things, color the sword as well to match and it'd be done.
All of my other ones won't be as intensely worked on as this one. (they'll be lame recolors like most of the ones in brawl.)

Edit: Shoud I make the half of the colors with Ratatosk eyes & expression and half with Emil's eyes expression?
Or a separate set all with Ratatosk features?

I'd say make another pack with Ratatosk features.
Also you should recolor the blade like it looks like in the artwork as I'm sure it'd look sweet.

Tested out Leon in game,  he works pretty well except of course I need to finish the rig.
I also just need to fix his hair texture. Other then that he is all good.

Also I am currently trying to figure out how to rip PS2 models... if anyone could point me in the direction of a good tutorial It would be much appreciative.

Basically what happened was my computer corrupted my files of Leon on snake. So I said [censored] it I'm making RE2 Leon on wolf for the [censored]s and giggles.
Hilarity insued.
Basically I just need to fix his arm problems and he should look fine...

Also I'm still needing that model of KARAS from TvC if anyone has his model.

At the moment I'm not really sure... Ninka uses both firearms like a pistol like Falco but also uses powerful sword swipes like that of Ike. I may end up making him on Ike just for the fact that Ike's boneset is more similer to Ninka then that of Falco. And also the fact that Ike is my main is a factor as well.

Ichigo I just started rigging over Ike a little over an hour ago while squall I rigged yesterday. I still need to fix up squall's rig before release as well as another glitch. trying to make him a bit more natural in the rig. I'm also prblly going to add final smash eyes (not sure about hurt faces though...)
Anyway hopefully these two go well, they are diversion before I try my hand at making models from scratch.

Alright well I tried squall in game and I personally thought that he looked like crap (sup PSP quality models) So I'm going to try again on him later. For those wondering, his rig was quite sloppy as well and did not pass my personal quality scale... And Ichigo is on hold as I'
m sick of Ike and rigging him at the moment.
Anyway, added some terms to the OP involving that if you get me a model of a character I want, then you will get a request fulfilled. I know the TvC models are prblly easy enough to get but the SMT and ZOE models will prblly involve ripping it yourself.
That's about it I guess... Thanks in advanced to anyone that gets me the models.

For my first custom model I feel he is going pretty well... Textures are a work in progress as I pretty much just used some texture rips from silent hill and resident evil to map out the textures before I actually textured it myself.

It needs to be a LITTLE smaller I think, like, about the size of the landmaster (cuz that's the size they are in game) and it needs some custom animations lol

Welp I just tested out the ROB sized one in game and it works like a charm, I'll include both the original and the ROB sized one in the download.

Also Royal Blade I think the reason there are not a lot of hacks like this is because you need to be hella creative to think of something like Oh that'd work well on that character. I feel like since we can import models now though we will see more Hacks that are creative like this.

6 swords would be ten different kinds of kickass, but one would make more sense moveset wise (as I'd assume that you'd put him over someone like Marth).  Your call though.

Sengoku Basara is a pretty fun game.  Very popular in Japan, but not so much in the states.  Capcom sucks at marketing, so it never really took off here.  It's understandable that you've never played it.

Yeah I just gotta make sure I can make his model work in brawl without lag because he has quite the file size...
I also only have his model without his helmet so I'm gunna have to try and make that myself.

The arwing moves in any animation that ROB moves his torso, so like if you have him look down, the nose of the arwing will go downwards. Then in attacks like his side B he spins around. So yes he will move in some animations but others will float such as his walk and wait animations.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Glad you guy's like his design, he is one of my favorite characters to draw.
I started rigging him and he is going hella smooth. After I'm done with him I'm thinking I will be importing Leon next, then Date Masamune, and finally Ninka.

Well as of now basically my computer is fighting a sucky ass virus >.>
It forced me to basically erase all my files from the brawl iso...
But other then that I still have 3DS max so I won't have to worry about getting that back.

Long story short, I need to get my files and [censored] back and hopefully kill this virus for good <.<

Well I'm using a maleware remover right now but it was just temperarily getting rid of it.
And since it was a trojen virus, it F'd up my McAfee antivrius program and now I'm going without a firewall >.<

Well crisis core is actual the prequel to final fantasy 7 so you would still be able to play it fine without prior context.

And yes FF7 cloud would be teh best import evah :srs:

His fingers are actually already somewhat rigged, whether or not they are perfect I can't really say...

I have found that you can only get models into brawlbox when they are rigged to something as every time I've tried importing a raw model, the Import has errors.
That there seems like an error having to do with how the model is constructed though.
Make sure you did not change the bone tree at all (like moving the bones seperatly) and also make sure you added skin modifiers correctly.

I thought those problems could be fixed with the animation porter.

Moving the bones of the model in 3DS Max shouldn't cause any problems at all.

There's No way I'm going to get the model rigged decently and not have to vertex edit the model to fit the brawl characters skeleton. It was either move Zelda's bones around or make the legs and arms look [censored]ty by vertexing them to fit right...

This seems to be an error with the actual detatching by material id part, rather than the rig?

That's awesome. I love the character design for the LoK games. As for who to put him over, I'm not really sure but back when I was still doing vertex hacks, I had originally planned to make him over Sheik.

Just some progress on the rig so far.
Essentially about 30 minutes went into it and he is looking pretty good. just trying to make his legs better.
I'm also thinking a size mod for the arms may be in order as they look short and were made short to fit lucario's boneset.
I've also been in the process of figuring out how to rip models from persona 3...
once I do learn how to expect some imports from that.
Also the wings are nor present due to lucario having no good bones to rig them to.
I may make another version on pit with wings but for now it will just be wingless as the wings looked like crap unanimated.

So since Raziel's PSA is planned to be on pit I decideed to stop making him on lucario.
But I wanted to work on this before starting the version on pit

Yeah FemShep was just me testing ZZS' boneset for the first time and it looked fairly cool, I also havn't updated in 2 weeks soooo... (but I do plan on finishing her up as she works fairly well so far.)

Asura I'm hoping will work good on Capt.Falcon. I plan on making his extra arms appear when he get's a smash ball (if file size permits)

After these 2 and Raziel I'm wondering what to do next... I was thinking maybe jin from Tekken..? Tekken X street fighter got me hyped about tekken again <.>

Jin's pretty cool.  He's certainly popular and there's nothing weird about his model.  Can't really think of any moveset that he'd work with though.  Smash doesn't have any "serious" martial arts dudes.  I guess Falcon could work, but honestly he'd work better for Paul if Tekken is involved.

Yeah I'd love to do some persona stuff as well. I messaged the person who made them and he told me how to rip models from the games so it is deffiently possible. I'm also a huge persona fan so I'd totally do  some imports from it. I'd love to make thanatos on Pit, Chie would be cool as well,And a proper minato would be amazing. I just need to find the models first.

Yeah, gotta say, Isa is easily the worst of the models.  I don't see anything appealing there.  Heather at least fits the Silent Hill motif, but Isa just looks like a 10 year old with a bad hair cut and dorky outfit (knee-high boots and short-shorts?  Really?)

Now he is on marth, due to the fact that marth's all sword based attacks and fast attacks would work better with thanny.
I also did not rig his legs due to me wanting him to look like he is floating...

You would be correct. That would be Shinjiro from Persona 3.
I found his file today and could not resist rigging him as he is my favorite character from P3.
And Adios [censored] was his win quote from the game.
He also uses a sign post as a weapon, which is awesome >.>

I think Raziel would be better without FS eyes.
But if you give him FS eyes, it would be more fitting to have bluish or greenish shining eyes since that's how he's always been depicted.


As for the weapons you mentioned, it would be cool if he had a version of the soul reaver.

I was planning on making the soul reaver (wraith version) using Pit's sword glows when I do the PSA, but I guess putting it on the actual model couldn't hurt. If you do, could you put it on the part of the bow that he can take off and put in his left hand, and remove the left hand weapon entirely, so that I can use "bow one piece" in PSA to toggle the reaver on and "bow separated" to toggle it off?

I was going to ask this in the first place, but didn't want to trouble you.

Yeah I think the bluish green work best as a Final smash eye.

And yeah, I could try and make it so he uses only the one blade in his left hand.

Take your time. I'm glad you're perfecting it. However, I'd like the reaver on the top part of the right hand weapon, since he holds it right handed. The left blade should be blank, so that commanding pit to take the bow apart would make the top part of the right hand weapon, the reaver, disappear, but the left part would stay invisible, because it would have no model.

Thanks again. Hope I'm not being too demanding... lol.

Edit: So I realized after I posted this that it's the bottom part of the right hand weapon that I can make invisible, not the top, so I'd want the reaver over the bottom part. Oops.

Charizards bone's suck ass and his legs are to far apart to rig them right. Only downside with wolf is that the wings won't animate though it still looks pretty cool.
As for Raziel I'm redoing him I messed up big time on his rig and would be easier to just re start him.

Then the tail would look akwardly stiff and the moveset would not fit at all.

Yeah, I remember it pretty clearly, after you drain about half of his health his wings get burned up to the bones and he starts using mele attacks more often. He can still leap and hover a bit but not fly.

Also, I hate to say it, but NZM had a pretty decent idea with the burnt wings thing. Just delete the glowy bits between each branch and vertex them to be folded near his back and it would be pretty cool.

Hmmm I tried vertexing it myself but it did not look the best.
Is that an animation you made? If it is, could you send it to me? I have an idea that might allow me to import how the wings look to 3DS max.

Chibi Sol and Ragna are actually pretty cool.  Not ideal, but I'll take what i can get.  They could be short enough to go over Toon Link.  That'd be pretty cool.

I thought I went over this already, In the middle of working on him my computer got destroyed and I basically needed to use a life 2 spell on it, the cost however was all my hit points  all my files got deleted

Chibi Sol would work great on toon link due to them both being left handed, but I'd also plan on editing the model to be more like regular Sol as it is pretty good looking besides small proportions and head.

dont worry about it. it was niice seeing someone make use of it. i dont deserve a collab though. i did nothing to help you two out. in fact, i was probably sitting back and watching TV while you two were at work. i figured out what was weird about yer cloud, the back hair doesn't have transparency. still looks great, its not noticeable unless you stare at him

good start. Sol has a niice design. the hair might be da trickiest part to do

Those textures are literally just textures from other models (Ike, some SH4 textures and some Toon link) edited with hues and saturation... they aren't impressive at all :srs:


Anyway, I'm going to be doing an import of the P3 protagonist at some point as the current one out needs some work...

Lol nope. there are no 3D Castlevania's with Alucard. As for Aeon, I dunno how many Castlevania fans there are left in the modding community so that could be why he hasn't been done. The last really interesting Castlevania hack I've seen is Simon belmont Moveset that Eternal yoshi is working on.

As for the model it was just edited a bit by me as well as retextured to match Alucard. Hopefully it is low enough poly for brawl though >.>

Bingo! Yep I used Raphael's model as it is obviously supposed to look like Alucard. As for his head, I was going to use an edited version of his head from Judgement. Though don't worry, I was going to heavily edit it as his hair always bothered me in judgement (Looked to much like Sephiroth). And yeah, [censored] judgement's designs I don't care if they were made by the guy that made death note, most of them are just not that good. I'll have to do a good Simon belmont after I'm done with alucard.

I meant 3D castlevania games with this style of Alucard, as I don't care for judgement.

Since you were using the Raphael model why not just use Raph's face and modify it with Alucard's next to it for reference? It'd make the face have similar quality to the rest of the body ^^

I think the problem stems from konami trying to make it look like Alucard's face in the artwork from SoTN where his eyes looked like this cept not nearly as extreme. I totally agree with the chin looking off though. I basically just wanted to see how it'd look on the body and with the hair I had found.

Awesome! I'm a big castlevania fan as well so if you need some help with the model just ask me and I'll try to help you.
I think you are recreating the version of Alucard from Symphony of the night and not the more recent version from pachislot III, but I think you should use that design as a reference of both the shape of the face and the textures.

yeah that's it. a hybrid is always what i have in mind. castlevania iv simon has some really cool boots, so there's an attire aspect suggestion.

smt is my favorite franchise. :3 i want to learn how to rip things so i could provide models from those games.

richter's dxc design is swell. the symphony design is very elegant and iconic, though.

Yeah, I'm hoping Simon's design won't be too hard to do, it's just I'd basically not be able to use any part of his judgement design as they are totally different.

Anyway, small update to Alucard. Is the new hair color better? Or should I keep his silver hair from judgment. (Trying to make it like his hair color in SoTN)

his hair is platinum blonde so it's fine as is. it could be more blonde and bright in some areas and look better all around with shading.

He should look just a bit more blonde.
Here's a tip: you should model the hair once you're done with the body and the cape, otherwise you'll have to reshape the hair later to go outside the cape.
The face shape looks better, the eyebrows are a bit off but the shape itself is better.
The overall shape of the body needs a lot of work, I'd finish the body first and leave the hair to the end.

Exactly why I want to do the hybrid design of both the Kojima design and thew original as it just looks all around better then both of them.

Anyway, in addition to all my current models and such, I wanted to go back and give Emil and Update as he needs one bad....

As you can see, he will have expressions, moving fingers, and I'm also going to improve his rig. I might even do some texture work. You can thank OC remix and their awesome tales of Remix soundtrack for inspiring me to do this.

After I finish Emil, I will be going back to Alucard as well, He's almost done. Since the last preview, I added his cape, I'll I'm doing is updating his face as well as his boots then it is off to rigging. I just wanted to do Emil as his rig is already pretty much done and just needed updating.
Sadly replaying SoTN today made me waste time on that instead of working on him  :srs:

Faces were vertexed by me to have expressions. I was originally going to make her have only eye yellows but I like quality in my imports! Don't worry about normals on the faces, they look fine in Moneybox Brawlbox.

Now to add Ashely to my rig list >.>
Oh and Emil is getting a special update pretty soon, like better then the old preview, though it's a secret right now how it'll be.
Alucard might also be getting some extra love as well.

Been a little while huh guys? I'm back in the modding game right now.

Currently, I'm working on rigging Aafyre's Mitsuru custom model (from Persona 4 Arena) over Marth, and I'm working on a custom model of Takamaru, From the famicom game Mysterious Mursame castle. Both I'm hoping to be done with relatively soon, and with Christmas break coming I'll have even more time.

Oh and I'll be sure to show some previews soon.

That Alucard was looking way too good, why'd this not finish!

Alucard had a giagantic file size, like 3 times bigger then brawl can handle, and there was no way that I could fit it in for Brawl. Perhaps, I'll try fixing the model, but for now he's going to be indefinitely on hold.

As for my old projects, well they might come back at some point, For instance Emil is basically done, I just wanted to retexture him, and Selveria just needs rigging done, I just want to get Takamaru and Mitsuru done first.

Anyways, I'll have some good previews of the two soon.

As I said, it's possible, but I'm not motivated to do him right now. At some point I do plan on revamping Cloud with a better texture (brighter so it has better contrast in Brawls darker stages) but until then, I do not plan on working on him.

Anyway, I've done some more work on Takamaru's model. Just gotta get his sword, face and arms done. Texture needs some more work as well.

Thanks! and no he's normal sized, Ike is a bit taller then Marth so it may appear that he is shorter, it Oslo might be the proportions of his model playing tricks on you.

So I wanna get back into modding, as it's almost summer, and I will have a lot more free time.

As I hate rigging with a burning passion of a thousand suns, I might just start working on 3D models and textures, and hope someone wants to pick up rigging them, like how Nano has done in the past.
In the mean time though I'ma try again with rigging, thus the poll.

Oh and Nano has picked up Assassin Link, so that'll be happening at some point.

i just think to something in the case where dante from devil may cry 4 you are working to import had a size too big maybe if you rig without use the texture the filesize would be correct and after i could work on texture not high size with the software i use what do you think ?

Me Iwvi and Nano had no idea how to fix it, so I figured instead of not releasing him because of one problem, I'd have him out with one problem that isn't really noticeable in game.

Up one...DErpy Cloud
Down one...Badass Cloud. aka i fixed it.
Edit:This is the only one fixed, the others have derpy issues, ill try another stuff later.


Holy crap man, that's awesome! If possible, could you send the fixes my way and I'll update the download once your all done?

I noticed that the skin color on Cloud's face and arms don't match. I messed with the textures and got this result.

I gave him his KH-style eyes btw

Not bad actually, I can't believe I didn't notice the skin tones being off...

Thanks. It's his arm texture from KH2 (which was edited by RamonM64 for his AC Cloud). All I did was slap it over the current (since they look similar) and it came out great. Shall I PM you it for the update?

As for Alucard, I kinda want to redo his model to look more like the artwork of SoTN, so he's not happening for a bit.
I too love him totally the most in SoTN, but how much longer ='(???
