Title: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 18, 2009, 08:55:06 PM Ok, so Im trying to put on sqleons KH stage for the online training room. I went to ocarina and created the waiting room replacement code
4A000000 90180F3A 38000000 FF000037 10000001 0000000B E0000000 80008000 I used norfair as my replacement. I exported to gct and then my sd. I put it in my wii, loaded up gecko and it said sd codes found applying. Actually not to my surprise, it didnt work. Along with the file patch code. It was like playing regular brawl. What did I do wrong. Ocarina? If so, where do i make the code and what do I do afterwards? Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 19, 2009, 05:36:31 PM where'd u get the code from?
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 19, 2009, 05:39:07 PM http://www.wiipals.net/Forum/f170/ocarina-codes-for-super-smash-bros-brawl-40922-7.html
lol wow, cant believe i didnt notice that.It does say ocarina codes. So im guessing this is the problem? Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: Hakumen on November 19, 2009, 05:42:53 PM No, the code should work. Try again with Gecko OS. It's always worked for me.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 19, 2009, 06:04:22 PM Still nothin. This time i went to geckocodes.org and use theirs. It looks like this
Waiting Room Replacement [spunit262] 046F2560 380000XX 046F33C8 380000XX 046F4430 380000XX 046F5148 380000XX 046F7200 380000XX Found by breakpoint on Y.S.'s stage modifier code. O after I replace the xs with norfair stage id (0B) it looked like this 046F2560 3800000B 046F33C8 3800000B 046F4430 3800000B 046F5148 3800000B 046F7200 3800000B I made the code in ocarina codemanager and then exported to gct. Once again the file patch code didnt work and neither did the replacement code. Regular brawl once again. Though gecko still always says sd codes found applying. Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 19, 2009, 08:11:48 PM If the file replacement code isnt working either then it has to be something with gecko. When was the last time gecko worked.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 19, 2009, 09:01:33 PM No, gecko works fine, but when i add something to the gct its says the codes are applying but when i play theyre all off i guess because my textures for stages characters and my custom music vanish. When i add any code to the gct provided by kittycorp, nothing works. The gct alone works fine though;but i really want codes so i can make it more fun, and so i can use the alternate loader, the alternate stage loader1.1 and phantom wings new stage roster code, among other things like shooting bob omb out of super scopes lol.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 19, 2009, 09:22:05 PM how are you adding codes to the gtc file? I didnt know it was possible to add codes without the txt. Or i could just be late. Or are u using the txt file?
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 19, 2009, 10:41:04 PM i dont even know what a text file is lol. I export to the gct. Im pretty positive thats the problem but I dont know how to do it any other way. I export to gct and everything stops working. I remember when I was in a rush to get it done for my friends i kept trying to export codes to the gct. Then vyse told me to leave it as it is and it worked. So im basically asking, what do you do with codes so that you can use them in brawl.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 19, 2009, 10:55:38 PM If your not already u shuld use the pc version of code manager.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 19, 2009, 11:08:26 PM I am. I go to ocarina codemanager, make a new code, name it and put the code in, store it, check it, then i export to gct. When i do that, All the brawl stuff doesnt work anymore.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 19, 2009, 11:22:48 PM After you put your codes in, go 2 file and press save as txt. Name that as whatever u want. Send that 2 me.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: Alphatron on November 19, 2009, 11:23:51 PM It sounds as though you aren't checking the boxes, even though that's not the problem...
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 19, 2009, 11:40:52 PM 2 things...I dont have a save text file in my file, and how can i send it to you?
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 19, 2009, 11:54:46 PM in the file menu you don't have a "save as txt".......that's a problem......use this.http://www.mediafire.com/?tnaomy1gkln tell me if it's there now.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 20, 2009, 12:01:06 AM yeah, its there now. So give me instructions on what you want me to do.
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 20, 2009, 12:07:49 AM Put in your codes nd stuff in code manager, press save as txt and save it somewhere you can get to. Open it,(should automatically open in notepad) copy and paste what's in there and post. scratch the sending thing,

I know for a fact that the stage id is 0B because ive put it in sooo many times.

open, add, save to txt, export. as for the stage....*goes searching* Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 20, 2009, 01:10:06 AM ok so i got to codemanager, open the text file rsbe01, create new code, put the code in and the name, save text file, the export to gct? if so, ill try another code like superscoope shoots bob ombs. But are you sure all ocarina codes are gecko compatible?

the newest file patch code, the one with textures music and unrestriceted camera Wifi Waiting Room is Norfair C26DCEE0 00000003 A37A0022 2C1B000B 40820008 3B600037 60000000 00000000 Super Scope Shoots Bob Ombs 4A000000 8098D528 D2000000 00000003 2C06003E 40820008 38C00006 60000000 90DD08C0 00000000 Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 22, 2009, 01:30:20 AM ok,so i tried exporting the wifi waiting room code to my sd and it worked. I spent the whole day trying to figure it out. its driving me crazy!

This is probably a really stupid suggestion but did you have it checked off when you exported the gct. Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 22, 2009, 07:34:32 PM huh?
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: janfeae on November 22, 2009, 07:45:39 PM Im saying that the gct file i have, i downloaded from kittycorp. It has the file patch code with unrestricted camera among other things. I try to add codes by exporting to gct. To my understanding it would then have the file patch code and the new code, but for some reason one or the other works and not both. Then you said "This is probably a really stupid suggestion but did you have it checked off when you exported the gct." Did you mean i have to make the file patch code again and checkmark it too?
Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: SqLeon on November 22, 2009, 08:07:01 PM when you export a gct it replaces the previous one, it doesn't add any codes. So yea you need to put in the file patch code again. which is the y i said the txt file thing before.

Gecko simply won't find my codes. It just says "SD codes not found". I did everything according to the tutorials, instructions and suggestions, downloaded my RSBE01.gct from Kittycorp itself, placed it in H:\codes, etc. And yet when I try to load the codes through Gecko, "SD codes not found". Has this happenned to anyone? Halpz? Title: Re: Help With Codes Post by: Neckbroken on November 25, 2009, 07:46:38 PM Nevermind, gaise, I downloaded another version of Gecko and it worked perfectly.
I was using 1.9.2b, 1.9.2 solved it. |
