Hey everyone, I'm FallenKing, and I'm beginning my quest to become one of the top brawl hackers.  I hope to get better, and I want to eventually move on to PSA'ing. You can download all of my hacks on my vault.

Took me over 2 weeks, but I'm finally finished! Well, it could be better, but I don't think I'm capable of doing any more improvements. Plus, I've run out of patience and energy after 2 weeks. I don't think imports are supposed to take this long, but I'm still learning the basics. I worked hard on this, so please give the God of Thunder a try.  

I know there's quite a few imperfections, but like I said, I'm new. The problems aren't that noticeable during gameplay imo. Either way, I'll get better over time.  :)
If you want to take my rig and improve it, that's perfectly ok with me so long as you collab me. I included a 3DS Max file in the download.

Just released the official alt. costumes for Thor imported straight from the game itself. I updated the download links. I'm currently working on importing Krillin over Mario.

For some reason, my Wii can't detect my SD card and/or micro SD card adapter. When I take pics, the SD card option says "please insert SD card". Even though it doesn't realize there's an SD card being used, I'm still somehow able to use hacks.... lol

Yeah, I noticed that. What modifier do I use to smooth it out? I'm completely new to 3DS Max so I don't know anything outside of Beyond/Nico's tutorial. lol

Usually its the one that says"Smooth" but if it doesn't work then use "Vertex Weld" and set it to "0.001"

Alright, I got the "vertex Weld" to smoothen it out, but I had an error when exporting it, most likely because I tried to put that modifier above the skin modifier. How can I put the modifier before the skin mod without deleting my rig? I tried to right click and "copy" the skin modifier, but it won't let me paste it back when all 27 of my polygons are highlighted.

on your modifiers list just drag it below the skin or drag the skin above the vertex weld modifier. make sure to do this for all objects though

I did it. Krillin has been smoothed out, and now looks better than ever!

For those pics, I forgot to remove the bone indicators, so you can't see the dots on his head. Whoops.

Now that that's done, I'll be importing Phoenix (x-men) from UMVC3 onto Zelda for my next project, once DemonBoy gets me the models. I'll see if I can get Dark Phoenix over the Final Smash and/or have Dark Phoenix as an alt. Speaking of alts, I'll be providing the umvc3 official recolors as well. If someone's already working on a Phoenix import, please speak now or forever hold your peace.

dont like krillin cuz his arms/legs is too long for him they needs to be shorter (also why i said krillin over mario will not work in a request thread) but maybe over TL he will work perfectly

Took me all week, but Phoenix is finished!

As always, the rig is far from perfect, but perfectly playable. It has no noticeable rig abnormalities during gameplay (unless you pause all the time). I intend to get better over time, and I'll be taking DSX8's "rigging academy" soon.

For now, I have but a few weeks of experience with 3DS Max and importing, so I can't do much better than this... yet. I'll be happy to accept any constructive criticism, but please try to come up with something more helpful than "your rig sucks, do it better". :P

Next, I'll be importing Pkmn Trainer's model onto Snake!

What should I import next? I'm thinking maybe I could import Blastoise over Squirtle and give him a size mod. Then, I could try to put Venasaur over Ivysaur so Pkmn Trainer can have a fully evolved team.

nice torterra you should import venusaur too :P for the size mod just check nanobuds evolution pack on ivisaur and rename the bone to match venusaur and you got a fully grown torterra and i will be getting that blastoise  too just some ideas for ivisaur if you ever find the model  do tropius :P

Hmm, I don't know about Tropius, it sounds tricky. I could do a lazy import where everything is rigged to the BustN bone like Tangrowth and Butterfree (I think that's how they do it), but I'm guessing that's not what you want. lol

Are you suggesting Tropius goes over Charizard or Ivysaur?

ivisaur ftw he shouldnt be triky he has legs like ivy and maybe you can do like you did for torterra tree and make the wings move like ivys bulb? also your blastoise download link is wrong  it doesnt lead to any download

its working now and  about tropius if you look at them they resemble  much bodywise the legs fit very well and the body too the head  well there is a bayleff on BV and works preety well with ivysaur and has a long neck but if you cant make tropius venusaur should be the best second option :P

Awesome, you've got my download. To be honest, I probably should've spent more time with the Torterra hack. I only spent like 20 minutes on it. I rigged everything to the BustN, then I roughly rigged the legs, arms, head, and tree. I didn't do any blending, and the back legs look oddly stretched when you're running. Hopefully, this isn't too much of a turn-off for everyone.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I'm glad to finally see some posts besides my own on this topic, lol. I'll try my best with the Cole import, as I know a lot of people here are fans of that game. DemonBoy is still working on the textures, but I told him to take his time since I have Finals this week.

I'm currently importing Evil Ryu onto Ganondorf. Here's my progress so far:

I was able to align the bones with the model a lot better thanks to Nanobud's tutorial. I'm currently 65% finished, I guess. Haven't done anything to the shoulders yet, but I sure hope I can fix those. I need to rig the fingers and blend the knees, feet, and legs. I think I'll rig his headband to the cape bone(s) so that it blows in the wind.   ;D

It's the Tekken Vs. Street Fighter one. If someone can get the Infamous 2 model, I'd be happy to do that instead.

@trocketman88 eh, I'm still learning. I knew the shoulders were kinda off, but I honestly don't think it's noticeable unless you pause the game and intentionally look for problems. I'll get better over time, but for now I don't intend to make any modifications to Evil Ryu. I just wanna move forward. Yes, I'm gonna learn to PSA eventually, once I get comfortable with importing.

True others say street fighter X Tekken Cole almost looks like Dwaye The Rock Johnson  besides the street fighter X tekken Cole is more taller as will  so I prefer that version Cole don't ask why

altough venusaur is released you should fix the most noticable riggs like his belly going all wierd when falling and those back legs also just a question did you rigg the vines yourself? becuase they look really wierd animated and you can atleast give it ivisaur vines textures since its just adding the texture and changing the material

Oh, is that how you do the textures? I never figured that out. I might update it later today, but I dunno. I didn't spend too much time with the rig, and for that I apologize.

The vine doesn't automatically rig itself despite it being the exact same one from ivysaur, so I was too lazy to blend it. Is there an easy way to fix up the vines?

Yep. I can tell you it won't be perfect because I'm still a beginner, but I promise not to do a 30-60 minute quality rig like I've been doing for the Pokemon, lol. I'll try my best to make it look good.

Despite what I said, I still tried to get Venusaur to look smooth. Don't assume I didn't try to get rid of the noticeable problems; you should have seen it when I rigged the legs the first time, lol. I just know that I won't be able to do much now, because I've always had trouble with blending legs, and I don't wanna waste hours for no results.

That's the life of a hacker: when you make the slightest mistake(s), people are unforgiving. When you've done something right, you can tell- because nobody will know that you've done anything at all. :)

P.S. I'm not singling out Carnage, I meant users overall.

whats wrong with the cole from sf x t?
Looks nothing like Cole in my opinion, looks like they just got some huge muscular guy and gave him Cole's cloths. Cole is not known for super strength, he has his electric powers for beating up his foes. I also did not like the style of SF X T, its to... I do not know how to put it, cartoony?

you know most ppl here lose hours to rigg a single model  lol but what i disliked venusaur the most wasnt the legs rigg was the belly and wierd vines  i could live with those legs  :P

^ Thanks, man. See, now that one took me hours to do. It's ironic how the imports that I spent little time on (Krillin, Pkmn Trainer, Blastoise, Torterra, Venusaur) got over 60 downloads per day, whereas the imports that took me days to finish (Phoenix, Thor, Evil Ryu) never made it to the "most popular" list. lol

Oh, that? Yeah, it came with the model, as it's the official model directly taken from SSFIV:AE. You know that I didn't actually hand-create these models, right? That's the thing about importing, you don't have to worry about making the model look good; that's all done for you. All you're doing is just making sure the model moves properly with the Brawl character's bones. Of course, that doesn't mean it's easy. :P

For the model ripping, no I didn't do any of that. I know almost nothing about model-ripping, but I don't think ripping Evil Ryu took much effort. I think some guy just ran his model-ripping program, and it did all the work in a few seconds. Sometimes, it's harder than this though.

Importing is a job separate from ripping. I wouldn't call it a finishing touch, as this is the hard part. It's where you take the model and you try your best to fuse it together with a Brawl character's skeleton. You have to make every body part match the Brawl character's. The most difficult part is getting the knees, arms, fingers, and legs to bend properly. If you're not good, your character will have some of their body parts stretch oddly during animations.

Yep, you're becoming a great rigger... really enjoyed Evil Ryu and some of the Pokémon hacks.

Also, it would be quite nice if you considered to update the rigs of some of your other hacks, like Thor and Phoenix... just an idea though.

And on an off topic note, I also like Hitman reborn :P. Tsuna was my first vertex and PSA, and I also ripped a model, T-posed it and rigged most of it. It's still in floating around my computer. There is a Child lambo hack I did also. I think I´ll just finish it.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate that. Aside from SS Link, I don't really feel like I've gotten much better, haha. I'm not sure if the quality of my imports have actually improved, or if I just got easier models to work with lately (for example, Blastoise naturally fits Squirtle).

I'm starting to see patterns and repetition in importing, so I can get things done faster now. I remember it took me over 2 weeks to finish Thor, but I don't think most characters would take over 2-4 days at my current level. Unfortunately, faster doesn't necessarily mean better imports. I'm not at the point where I can really improve anything on Thor or Phoenix. I've still much to learn, and I hope to really get better over the summer. Once I get better, maybe I'll fix up some of my older hacks.

Just released Cammy from SSFIV. I couldn't rig the hair to ZSS's hair, so it all moves with her head. I also couldn't vertex it to look straight without making it look oddly bent when you zoom in. I also had a hard time rigging her shoulders & legs, but nothing is really noticeable unless you pause the game, zoom in, and intentionally look for mistakes (which a surprisingly lot of you guys like to do).

DemonBoy is still working on the Cole texturizing, but he'll have it finished soon enough. I just watched The Avengers, and it makes me wanna import someone on the team, but everyone's already taken. :(
Maybe I can do Hawkeye over Link since the current Hawkeye import is being rigged over Pit.

Well, looks like Hawkeye is a no-go. Boygos is already working on importing Hawkeye over both Pit and Link. That's the problem with model imports; it's hard to find a project that nobody's done yet. Maybe I should try to learn how to import stages, since I hear there's not enough of those.

Thanks, I appreciate that. The irony is that I only spent like 15 minutes on the rig, while all my non-Pokemon imports (like Cammy) took me hours to do. Piplup is far from perfect, trust me, haha. In fact, I don't think it's good enough to enter Boygos's tournament. I just don't put as much effort into the Pkmn Trainer pokemon imports for some reason. :P

Sorry, I don't think I'll be doing Ho-Oh. It looks too tricky for me, whereas Piplup matched Squirtle almost perfectly, except the arms (where I simply rotated the shoulderN/shoulderJ/arm bones to match Piplup's arms).

As for the size mod, I know how to do it, so I won't need the ones in the vault. Also, I think Wasabi might have been asking for a smaller size, not a bigger size. I don't mind Piplup's somewhat large size proportion, so I won't do the sizemod unless Wasabi wants it. It kinda sounds like he already knows how to do it though. lol

DemonBoy is still working on the Cole Macgrath texturizing. So for now, I'll be importing Phoenix Wright over Luigi. That's right, Luigi! I know PW has already been done, and someone else is currently importing him onto Falcon, but I couldn't resist the opportunity when I saw the PW model on thefree3dmodels.com. Besides, PW is my fav Capcom character.  ;D

Now I can see why nobody imports human characters over Mario/Luigi; they're bone structures are a pain to work with. They have humongous heads and hands, they have long arms, but short legs. In order to align everything properly, I had to vertex the model to look like this:

Fear not, because I'm including a one-slot size mod that will fix up his proportions. Here's a preview of PW in-game:

He's only 35% done, and this rig is proving to be a real pain in the ass to do, but I'm determined to finish what I started. His fingers will be rigged, but I'm having major difficulties with the thumbs. Sorry about taking long for the texture. First I wanted to finish my import for the infinite smash team tourney and then I started having some computer problems.
Everything is fine now and I'll be working on the texture this week.

One of my buddies was bored and edited the model slightly to try and make him a little less buff if you want to use it. here is a comparison. The edited one is on the left and the original on the right.

I'll take the original. The edited one looks good, but I believe that it's usually better to stick with the original models. I'm looking forward to importing Cole.

As for PW on Luigi, I don't think he looks weird in the preview pic. You guys are looking at the 2nd pic, right? I think Luigi's weak-man fighting style looks more appropriate on PW.

I recommend simply resizing Phoenix's head to more of Luigi's original size to help fit the proportions, he won't be entirely realistic looking in terms of proportions, but it'll certainly help with the aesthetics of it all, because he's a little slender-man looking right now.

I just added a preview of Hawkeye in the OP. So far, I've only rigged his knees and elbows. Boygos did a lot of this for me, so it shouldn't take me too long to finish this up.

I found a bunch of interesting models on thefree3dmodels, and decided to make my first poll. I'll decide who to import the models over after the poll is finished. If someone is already working on one of those imports for any character, or if one of those imports has already been done, let me know.

Those are some really nice models; I especially like the top-left one. That classic look would be really nice to have in Brawl... but the one from Arkham Asylum just looks so new and BA. It's a really tough decision, lol. I'm the sort of person who always thinks "newer is better", so I'm leaning more towards the AA model. I'll think about it though.

Maybe I'll throw in a new poll to ask which model I should import after I close up this poll. Can you send me the model of the top-left one you have in that pic? I wanna compare/contrast the two models.

I updated the Hawkeye preview (doesn't look too different from before though). I've now rigged the fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders, knees, and I touched up a bit on the feet. Now I gotta take care of the hard part: the legs and pants. After that, I'll review everything I've done, touch up on everything, then send it back to Boygos.

Looks like Batman won the poll, so no need to drag it out longer. I've updated it to ask everyone which model I should import. That's a nice model, but I don't think that's the AA one. I did some comparison checks, and I believe the AA model's face isn't as smooth, and his abs are heavily defined.

I'll rig animated Batman as an alt for your Arkham import, since I think Arkham Batman is gonna win :P Who are you thinking he'd be over? Snake?

Yeah, probably Snake. The only other alternatives imo are Falcon, Ganondorf, or Ike. I don't think Batman fits the fighting style of Falcon or Ike, plus they already have too many imports. There's already a good vertex on Ganondorf, and I have like 2 open slots for Snake.

Does anyone think Batman should be put over anyone besides Snake?

Sure, if I can get those models, I could do something like that. I'm actually doing something like this for my Pkmn Trainer over Snake import. I'm replacing his up-smash weapon with Cyndaquil, and the bullet with fireballs. I'm replacing his grenades with Voltorbs, his side-B bullets with Sharpedos, his cardboard box with some Pokemon (not sure which yet), his mine(s) with Dugtrio(s), and his up-B machine with various flying Pokemon.

Maybe I can even put the Batmobile over Snake's cardboard box, lol. Don't get your hopes up though, the batmobile is huge, and it would probably take way too much memory.

An experienced importer could probably manage that. Unfortunately, I'm not that good. I could try to rig the cape to Snake's bandana or something, but don't get your hopes up for that. Moving cape or not, I still think it would look just as good. :P

Sounds good! I opened up Link's motionetc and did all kinds of nifty [censored] with his arrows, and the weapons I have from UMvC3 >:) You're gonna like it.

looked at ur hawkeye... and all i can say is that its a decent rig.. but it needs to be worked on more.. thus is y u should never send ur rig to some1 else if it was already half way done, cause then they'll just half-ass it o.o

I'm pretty sure that's not going to work. capes are animated by physics not the animations themselves

Huh, I didn't know the game physics is what animates capes. Does the game just detect the cape bones specifically for MetaKnight, Ike, and Ganondorf and automatically move them around or something?

Anyway, I made some progress with Cole Macgrath. Check the OP for a preview. Expect him to be released before the end of this week. Next, I'll probably start working on my entry to Boygos's Pokemon contest. I'm thinking about importing Gallade over either Sheik or Link, but I don't have a model of Gallade.

On another note, I thought I'd found a good source of Skyrim models:

but all the models turn out really deformed on my 3DS Max. I really got my hopes up on importing Skyrim models. I'm hoping now somebody here can get me some models so I can import what resembles the Dragonborn that you see on the title menu when you load up the game.

^ Thanks, and I'm not sure if it's wifi safe. It's only an import, not a PSA, so it won't affect gameplay if that's what you're asking.

For my next project, I'll be importing the Dragonborn, hero of Skyrim. Any Elder Scrolls fans here? There's a ton of different armors and face models, but I want the Dragonborn to resemble the concept art:

I haven't decided who I'll import him over yet. I may add a poll for that later, but I'm leaning towards Link atm because Ike, Falcon, and Marth have enough imports already imo, and I still have a few slots left for Link. Also, I'm a huge Zelda fan, and when I played Skyrim (my first Elder Scrolls game), it kinda reminded me of an alt. version of Zelda but with more dungeons of lower quality and a different combat system. In Skyrim, you can use swords, shields, and the bow, just like Link; another reason I'm leaning more towards Link.

for example i cant see the csp on piplup/blastoise/torterra  and others  i know they are there but you didnt acept them or something becuase i can see all the others person hacks

I've managed to get my hands on a bunch of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations models, but I don't have all of them nor do I know how to rip them from the iso. What I do have are a bunch of .xfbin files that I'm able to use Noesis to extract into obj files. I've extracted the ones I'm interested in most and posted them on the poll, so be sure to vote!

I may not have all the models, but I have most of the interesting characters. I don't have Naruto's kyubbi mode, unfortunately. I really wanted that one. :(

Anyway, If you want a model, just ask here on my topic. I'd rather you ask here instead of pm'ing so my topic can stay alive.

As far as I know the generations archive .cpk files are not supported yet by the extractor.

Just released Minato over Ike. He works on the Naruto PSA, and the shadow clone works perfectly and everything. I don't think he has the Kyuubi-cloak as his FS eyes though.

I won't be able to release imports as fast as before from now on, because I have summer school and I'm taking on PSAing. I'll probably only be able to release like one or two imports per month. I may just lock up this topic since it'll probably die consistently if I don't release imports as much. Even when I was releasing like 1 import per week, my topic was never popular anyway. :(

Nanobuds told me he's almost finished texturing the Dragonborn, but it looks like he's taking a break, so I don't know how long it'll be before I can start working on it. Speaking of which, I'm getting a little bored of importing as well; maybe because I've been doing it way too much. I don't see myself quitting any time soon though, because I'm easily motivated when I play a video game and see a nice looking model that I want in Brawl.  :)

Although it's kind of glitchy, It would be nice if Jiraya could work with the DAO_Ibuki PSA  So i guess Ike would be nice but i think it use Ganondorf model bones or something (the first version was an edit of ganondorf).

Hey fallenking is there anyway u would be able to give me a snake model from the Naruto game I more so need it for the head to be about the size of charizards bolder or bigger if u can.

Sorry man, I have quite a few character models, but no snake model.

I'll be going on a 3-day vacation (it's too short for anyone to notice), but before I go, I updated the OP with new previews of the Dragonborn and Gallade.

I'm kinda torn about the Jiraiya thing. Most ppl voted Ganondorf, but it doesn't seem to make sense, unless... did someone say that the Jiraiya PSA uses Ganondorf's boneset? If so, I guess it makes sense. Then again, I don't use that PSA myself, and it'd be a shame not to have Jiraiya as a Naruto alt, which I'll only be able to do with an Ike import. I gotta take down the poll for now to make room for a new one, but I'd like to hear some compelling arguments about who I should import Jiraiya over.

I think over sheik would be good, since someone may make gardrevoir over zelda and stuff.

does one of your texture hacks for pokemon trainer include Ash(the original pokemon trainer).  there is a good vertex of him in the vault somewhere, and i was just wondering if you released him too with ur pack. 
also for some reason i think krillin would work awesome over luigi(because of the eye-blind final smash)

Finally finished Gallade for the Pokemon importing contest! I even made a gif, but it looks off:

The eyes don't have that problem, and the color is supposed to be greener. The preview pic is what it actually looks like in-game, lol.

Anyway, I guess I'll work on either the Dragonborn over Link or Jiraiya over Ganondorf next. Speaking of which, I'm still thinking about importing Jiraiya over Ike for the Naruto PSA, but more ppl voted for Ganondorf, so I dunno. I added a small poll, so please be sure to vote (even if you don't care for either option, lol).

Nice model, looks really good.

I hope for the Dragonborn because i've been playing Skyrim recently too! :D Maybe if as alternate costumes, maybe other sets of armor? Like Elven, or Glass, OR DEADRIC, Or Ebony. That'd be awesome.

Yep, I've already announced that the Dragonborn will come with other armor sets as alternate costumes. After all, everyone has their preferences. :D

I thought Jiraiya was gonna win, but looks like they're both tied at 7 right now. Who's gonna win?! Only time will tell.

Finally finished my Dragonborn import. It honestly shouldn't have taken more than 2-4 days, but I've been really busy with summer school and other summer activities. Now I got actual school going on, so I'll be even busier than before. I won't be able to release imports as fast as before, but I'll try to manage at least one hack per month.

To be honest, I've gotten pretty bored with importing, but I'm not gonna stop all together because it would be a shame to waste all the time I put into learning this.

Next, I'll be working on more Dragonborn armors. I'll probably just do a sword+shield combo for each armor unless I get enough requests to do different weapons.

No. Beyond's working on Amaterasu. In order to get it to look good on Ivysaur, you would need to make a custom boneset or something like that... which I have no idea how to do nor do I want to do it.

I will, however, fix up my Phoenix and Batman imports, because they take up way too much memory right now. I didn't see it before because I tested it with CPUs, but using Phoenix and/or Batman along with other human players will cause a lot of lag. I'd hate to see those two imports go to waste after all the time I put into them.

I don't think I'll be doing Alduin, especially over a boss character since I never do boss battles myself nor do I play the subspace anymore. I'll consider the Ganondorf hack, but don't get your hopes up, because I'm not sure if I really wanna import the dragonborn over another character. I'd love to see this. It's always been my goal to get one of my imports made into a PSA. I just hope the rig is good enough for you to work with, because I know I'm not the best at rigging. Maybe I'll even collab with you if I ever learn to PSA and become good enough. I think the Whirlwind Sprint should be his Up-B because it makes the most sense as a recovery move. I also feel that the Fus Roh Dah shout would be his signature attack, so I imagine that being his nuetral B attack. Do whatever you want though. :)

Sorry, but I don't think I'll be doing this. I'd have to rig an entire body, and it would take too long putting all the alternate armors onto the human Dragonborn, along with the Khajit and Argonian models. Most of the armors cover pretty much the entire body, so I just can't be motivated to do this.

There ARE Dragon weapons... they are just in the Dawnguard Expansion.

I have the PS3 version, so I'm still waiting for the DLC to come out. Damn you Bethesda!!! Hurry the **** up!!! The entire summer passed, and still no Dawnguard for us PS3 users. *sigh*

I saw the Dragonborn. Really cool, but I'd like to see more skyrim characters out there...
Anyways, I'd like to request a female khajiit , in dragonscale armor, with glass sword, over marth. (Sorry, marth, but the tiara just makes you look like a girl, so... :happy:)

You don't hve to do this, I just want to play as my khajiit on brawl, but I have no experience with model editing, as I only do music.

You know what'd be rad? A Skyrim Stage. Fighting at the throat of the world, with a view of Skyrim and all of her beauty whilst dragons fly about presenting hazards. Your Dragonborn may need a touch up aswell. I can't really day due to the fact I haven't tried it out yet, Judging by the pictures his texture looks washed out and his model seems to warp/twist out of shape. Seen mostly where he is swinging the sword. Very awesome though.

I have a little suggestion to this. On the different armors he will have, how about having one use a sword and shield, and one use a mace and shield and one use an axe and shield? :)
