This is my official thread, currently staying on the topic of my Summoner Yuna PSA.
Feel free to comment or post ideas! I am completely open to PM's, unlike most people.

So here's what's up. As some of you may know, I have contest going on for a Final Fantasy character PSA,

Yuna with Aeons (Final Fantasy Aeon Summoner)

Now that the contest is over, it's time for the project to start. Anyone who wants to help, please feel free to ask, your help would be greatly appreciated.

As for the City Escape.. LeonExodio decided not to use the models I provided for the project so more or less that project disbanded...

Summoner Yuna's Import finally released, thanks to the help of Iwvi and the_randomizer! Now to rig the Aeons!

Just finished playing with her, and it came out great. My only complaint is that her eyelashes need to be made transparent, or just deleted. Looking forward to the PSA :)

I wish I could use all of her aeons from FFX.. but unless I have a bunch of people thata know what they're doing, for now we're just using her basic Dissidia Aeons: Ifrit, Shiva, Valefor, Ixion, and Bahamut.  

If we use her FFX aeons I would be killing randomizer with all of my rigs I need him to do, because then I would need Anima, Daigoro, Magus Sisters, Yojimbo, and Blue Tree. That would be WAY to much more work for him..

If the progress goes easily enough and we have enough time and it's easier I will try to add her other FFX aeons (like anima)

Ya I haven't had any time to get her eyelashes fixed.. the PSA hasn't started yet because we've changed course and are trying a different approach to the summoning process. And we're still rigging the imports..

I am wondering, how are you going to make the summoning work? Will the summoning be magic based in combat so it will be her main form of attacking , or will it be Final smash related? Also, exactly who are you placing Yuna over? Have to make some room for her in my brawl :D

She is going to summon EXACTLY how she does in Dissidia. And the aeons dissida attacks will replace her normal attacks.

And this is all I will say as for what to keep open. Summoner Yuna will be over Zelda. But... keep Sheik open too ;)

Also considering the popularity of the Spiderman psa over shiek, that is easier said than done.
I know I would want to give some room for this yuna psa, but all my friend who enjoys playing my hacked brawl would be pissed if I removed Spiderman as he is quite popular among us home brawlers.
I'm guessing that Yuna's PSA will turn out bigger than thesize of the original zelda psa and as such won't be able to work with spiderman?

I realize the popularity of the Spiderman... but before any surprises will be announced about anything over Sheik, Summoner Yuna will be released. And about turning into Sheik, one of her taunts will be changed to her old down special.

I don't have any hacks over sheik and the only other hack I  have over Zelda Is Lulu...

Okay. Well, I am really looking forward to see how it will turn out. If her filesize turns out to be too big for her and spiderman together then maybe I can place her over ness, since zelda has a rel port over him. I am using a zelda psa over ness, funny, since that is also a final fantasy character, terra X)

Wait, there's a .rel for Ness?! I thought you couldn't port Zelda :O and I don't think the filesize would be too big.. but PM me really quick k?

Here's how the rigs are looking right now, going to be using the Dissidia way of summoning so the rest of their body isn't going to be used. To get a feel for what I mean check how she summons aeons in this video

So as you see she only summons the front of their body to attack, the rest is cloaked by a light circle thing.

There wont quite be a "update" for a while. The only update would be her model having the staff, and a more high-quality looking face. There probably will not be any demos until the project is finished, but I will be posting several progress videos along the way of the PSA

Lol ya well J is doin the rigs right now.. but at the same time remember that he's doing Lightning (95% done), Ven Terra and Aqua (so close to being done :D), and more. So I cant promise any release dates. He said he's gonna finish up the Aeons then we'll start the PSA. Just keep watch on my thread lol

she should have a final when summons multiple aeons like how capt.falcon hits you with his car then takes you somewhere to run you over but instead aeons will attack you one by one but it seems like it would be too much. but it is a good idea!

I'm happy to say not to just you, but to everyone, that yes the project is back in action. I had a TON of school stuff to finish but it's all over. Me and Randomizer are working on her again, Shiva and Ifrit are finished, Bahamut is almost done, and after that he'll try and do Ixion and Valefor. If we have time or ideas, we'll try and but in Anima, but I don't know what that summon would work out or what he would do. Just as some proof we're back in action.......

Yeah, about porting him over Charizard.....kinda late for me to put it over him. He's over Gannondorf for the sake of easier porting. The legs on Gannondorf are normal and erect, but Charizard's legs are protruding and are bent backwards; editing the vertices to conform to his legs could very well compromise the integrity of the model.  Sure, the wings won't be as animate, but should be feasible if rigged to his cape node bones, so that should work. Believe me, I tried rigging him to Charizard in the past and....it uh, didn't go well suffice to say.

The other reasons are simply Gannondorf's skeletal structure fits the Bahamut model almost perfectly.

Actually Bahamut is over Ganon. Valefor is gonna be over Charizard, and we're thinking Ixion over Ivysaur cuz he's the only one on all fours.

Thanks for losing hope XD no I'm kidding it's my fault for taking a break without posting anything about it.. and for Anima we're not gonna use him as an FS I really like DS. Gonel's FS idea. We were gonna do something like that but we didn't know exactly how, but I love the idea and I think we're gonna use that. As for Anima we might just put him in for a move or two if we run out of ideas for other Aeons' attacks

Don't worry about it. The fact you're rigging him at all is great. But remember what happened with Yuna's sleeves? Would there be a similar problem with Bahamut's wings?

Not sure. I've never experimented with rigging wings to cape/hair bones before, but I guess I'll find out! :P

I'll leave that up to him. That's not a priority for me. Sora approached me with the idea and it was kind of a little side project for our free time. He hasn't been on in a couple weeks but I'm sure when he gets back he'll do it.

Do you need something, like CSPs, or BRSTMs? (that's my high level skills...)
I can do some little things with PSA, but as you can see on my thread, it's not really great...

BRSTMs I make as well, but I don't tell people about it. CSPs I have no luck with when testing, but then again, might be because I use Dolphin to test hacks on; it's very convenient. Having a quad core Core i5 helps :P

I'm seriously going to murder 3DS Max and its x-ray mode. It should be transparent with working with vertices, making it easier to rig and chose the right places to weight the vertex influences:

This is how it should look when selecting/deselecting vertices: This is normal

However, the second I select vertices and move the camera around, the x-ray mode loses its transparency, making it difficult to select vertices at the right sections.

I desperately need help with fixing this issue! Please! It should not go opaque, but remain transparent regardless of how I'm rigging.

Hey all, i've read everything in the thread thus far and i have to say, it's looking good. Sorry for not responding to anything, i've been gone for a month visiting my dad. Anyways, sure, i'd do another recolor pack.. will this include the aeons as well? By the way, i'll probably not have as much free time starting august 21 because of schol.

Go for a Yuna recolor. A LOT of people think this project is dead... anyway no don't worry about the Aeons me and Randomizer haven't finished them yet.
