Title: thps made like textures?! Impossable acomplishment! Post by: SonicWolf on December 27, 2012, 05:05:31 PM I believe I've figured out how to make a custom thp (finally)! It takes a long time & I haven't yet done so but I thought up the main idea! (Don't do so till I can see cuz I will call you on it)
Heres what I got so far: 1: Get all videos you want parts of converted in 1 type of image (jpg, png, gif, ect) 2: Mix & match much like it would look like (look at Brawl's original intro for info). MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE FIRST FEW SECS (till right after the SSBB logo) THE SAME FOR REFERENCE! 3: Once done convert the finshed video (all images of course) into 1 thp with the selected music (can make a spare that is not a thp to test on your computer) 4: Test in game. If it still looks good HYES! The thp is made! So far this is what I'm planing on trying. I'm forced to use things like Windows Movie Maker to convert so I don't know how it will work but I believe (if this works the way I plan) it WILL work. Tell me what you think below & I'll see if I can use your ideas & we can work together to make a new way of thp hacking! :af: Doing this for my own personal intro & I hope it works for then I & anyone who helps out will be awesome! Just. No. For starters, one video would take a lot of pictures. You also need serious editing software to modify the videos. And BJ would most likely not do this. I'm just saying this might be easier for those who don't have the really good software like me. I am currently getting ready to try this tomorrow so till then please don't say it's impossiable. You can't really stop me from trying. Not gonna give up till I know it won't work. PS: I mean I'm doing this. I'm just sharing what I know so far. I'll say if it's possible or not once I can prove it + I'll give proof for those who need it. I know what you mean & I consedered it but I believe I can do this & I believe it can be done. I don't say something this big untill I'm sure it can be done. Curenntly I'm leaning on the posible side & it's 45%/55% Just wait. Besides you may say "OMG! I'm gonna do this now!" if it works. Simple + thp? Sounds impossible but I don't think of impossibilitys I think possitive. Work with it for a bit. Just till I can say if it will or will not work. It took a while sometimes, and they only come out to about a minute long. and that's without effects/complicated backgrounds.
the time Alvin Earthworm spent making the opening movie of SMBZ is about how long it would take to make a new opening movie for brawl... this will consume A LOT of time. Gotta try a few shortcuts like figuring out which of the movies do I want. I will keep this updated with any snags or whatever I come across. & yes. This is Frame by Frame but if you got the Brawl intro (full intro incuding the line up & everything in the title .pac as well as the OPmovie.thp) it will be easier since it will be pure images. then you just grab a full few frames of another & replace where you want. Still working on it but still believing this should work. coverting the images & adding music will be the hardest I think while the longest will be replacing frames :/
