My Planned Projects

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger over toonlink and diddy kong

my reasons for making this:
-literally grew up playing with this character
-been dyeing to make a brawl hack for him( since i found out how they work )
-i think he would be a competitive character for brawl
-this is my first time making a character

Whats needed:
-a model rigged over both diddy kong and toon link with rigged mouth and tail
( i plan to make him over both characters)
-an external graphic to fake a boomerang projectile
-someone to rip sound effects from his 2nd and 3rd games:
Ty the tasmanian tiger 2: bush rescue
Ty the tasmanian tiger 3: night of the quicken
-someone to help me fix random freezes or tell me more about psa and brawlbox stuff

so here is the planed move set:
aaa: tripple slash combo
side a: twin slash
up a: flip kick
down a: low swing

air attacks:
neutral: twin rang spin
front: bite forward
down: bite dive
back: back kick
up: i might do toonlinks attack, but i might need ideas

neutral special: bite:chargeable, fully charged he will lunge forward and bite his opponent
sie special: boomerang throw: can change elements
down special: rang switch: switch between:
flamerang: burns enemies

zappyrang: electrocutes enemies

i was planning on doing just small element gfx on the tip of his rangs, but if there is room i might add actual different boomerangs
up special: flower launch: a rainforest flower engulfs ty and shoots him into the air(need external flower gfx for this)

throws:
grab: lassorang over toonlinks clawshot: its a rope attached to a boomerang, you get the idea

pumbel: hits with left rang
up:TL's up throw
forward: double slash
back: still need to think
down: pins opponent to the floor and bites him

final smash: the doomerang:

Ty throws this badboy onto the battlefield,it works kinda like pikachus final smash,but slower and more controllable, dealing damage as it flys around opponents( 1 or 2 per hit) it last for i say 8 or 10  seconds before exploding (20-30 damage)or just press b to explode it before time is up


alternate final smash: The shadow bunyip

ty gets in this robotic mech and starts punching and blasting all over the stage, press and hold b to fire the shadow beam, last for about 10-15 seconds

other misc moves:
his sheild is a series of random colored orbs orbiting him
i also need to put on a glide mechanic for holding the jump button.
need to think about what to do for his stage entry


Sigma over ganondorf

reasons for making this:
-since calikingz01's new x and zero psa's came out(awesome job by the way) i think he deserves a chance to be in brawl
-favorite megaman x villan

moveset:
still planning,i do intend to base it off zero with a few twists here and there
such as laser eyes,sword dash,and transform into his final form from mmx8(planned FS)

spyro the dragon over yoshi:

Reasons:
-competitive character
-not that different from riddley
-fun asset to brawl

moveset:
was planning to base it of riddley, with a few fire,ice,earth,and electric attacks,and use an elemental rage for his FS(with a dark blast at the end of it)

Jak and Daxter

reasons:
-all around popular naughty dog and playstation iconic character
-definitely huge fan of him
-needs to be in other games

moveset:
-Before you ask, no: i do not plan on animating daxter or giving him his voice just due to file size issues
-i imagine he would be like ike: a little sluggish, but good attack strength
-a series of kicks,punches,gadgets, also i plan to have him do 2 FS's
ground:transforms into dark jak and does the dark bomb
air: transforms into light jam, flies center stage and uses flash freeze,slows time for about 20-30 seconds

Master chief over snake

reasons:
-beast character for brawl
-have a cousin who loves halo
-almost out of ideas

moveset:
-mainly similar to snake or captain falcon
-i intend to focus my efforts on his specials,smash attacks,throws,and FS
-moveset involves around gadgets such as armor lock,jetpack, rocket launchers,frag/sticky grenades,and energy swords
-possible final smash options:
1:spartan laser
2:M.A.N.T.I.S mech
3: scorpion tank

those are all my planned projects for now,stay tuned for posted progress soon

well I've got good news and bad news,

good news:i just got my drivers license!

bad news:still not much progress on nova,besides his wait animation,still trying to figure out this psa stuff,plus school is still going,and I'm not on my computer often

trying to memorize each event and a decent order i can put them in

as far as my basic understanding of attacks go i think its like:

A.S timer frames(before the animation)
offensive collision(with specified parameters)
offensive collision(with specified parameters)
offensive collision(with specified parameters)
Sychronus timer frames(during the animation)
terminate collision

also i might know how to add external graphics,but i am bad at understanding hex editors
(referring to eternal yoshi's external graphic tutorial)

also i know there are models as well as animations for the EX graphic itself,however if anyone can teach me where to start on modeling(making and rigging mainly),that would be great.

as far as my understanding of modeling goes:
1: make the model or rip it out of a game
2: rig it with a bone structure for movement
3: re code it to where it codes brawl properly
4: glitch/bug fix(idk how)

thanks lol, but i think i understand only half of it,cause as far as i know the psa and model have to go together,its just making one that i havent learned yet,but as mariodk told me:

just cause the model is over that character,dons't mean the psa has to be as well

still have to learn some modeling stuff as well,

if any post i make is not from my computer it is either from my wii,or another computer,either way,a filter that allows only educational stuff is going up wensday at votech school i go to,idk if i will be able to get on the vault from there,but im pretty sure it wont let me,so i will get back when i can

Indeed, and it takes absolutely 0 modeling skill to do so. If you ever want to know how to do it PM me and I can tell you how to do it.

Also I would stick to either PSAing or modeling to start with, rather than both at the same time. It's a lot to take in.  

I would like to tell you as well that there are websites that bypass schools firewalls so you can get on the vault at school.

The ways are constantly changing since schools keep finding out how to block people.

But your right, If you dont have the model you wanna make a psa for, you may want to start on modeling. I myself never learned modeling and I can pretty much psa everything I could want, so its not really necessary to psa.

Also the methods for swapping ext graphics have changed since EternalYoshi's tutorial, you don't need hex anymore, its all done in Brawlbox.

,but i think modeling next to psa-ing would be great,cause since I've first learned how people do this,i figured i could do it myself,plus to me modeling and psa-ing go together for instance:

cant have megaman x over rob without the x model(currently being remade by calikingz01)

so i think that the unique ability to make characters is a sweat one,as it gives me more control over the game.

so RevenantGenisis,i would like to learn how to model,but i only have blender and i have no idea how to use it,neither 3ds max,but i know 3ds is the main program to use,i only have a guess based understanding of modeling:
1:make model
2:rig it with a skeleton for movement
3:hex it to code brawl properly(have an automatic model hexer for this)
4:glitch fix?

i think i might try to psa nova over captain falcon,but only do like his normals,ariels,and smashes,probly throws,then release it as a unfinished beta,i really havent figured out on how to psa special buttons yet

i think im just gonna have to wait until school is done,mainly its the 3rd quarter,and the most busy,and im not on my computor as much as i used to be(lazy me)

plus ive got a heck of alot of stuff to learn,mainly modeling,psaing,and such

plus its my senior year,so once im finished,i will have a little more time for brawl mods

i am almost ready to begin my journey of brawl hacking i graduate high school tomorrow, and try to find a part time job sometime, i will post progress every now and then, also i need help:

ok, thanks here is the order of psa's i plan to do:
-Ty the tasmanina tiger over toon link and diddy kong(do it over toon link first, need someone to perfectly port it over diddy)
-spyro the dragon over Yoshi

plan to the first 2 for old school fans

-jak and daxter over falco
-master cheif over snake
-sigma over ganon

-i might change the order of the last 3 or work on 2 at once maybe

plus(noob alert), still learning, plus i predict my game will crash a lot trying to do this XD

well, i have graduated last friday, saw the new Godzilla movie and loved it,

i am now ready to begin my career of brawl hacking, but before i do there is more stuff that i want to look into:

-modeling, for future psa's
-learn how to make a pseudo glide(step by step tutorials with pics are greatly appreciated)
-get some psa and BB animation practice
-rip sound effects out of ps2, xbox, and other games/isos/ emulations
-rip models out of said games

-is it possible to have a character do a single jump with the height of a double jump?
-i believe its possible to have a giant character in the stage background,if so i have to use model changers, and it has to be low polly right?

ok,and i dont plan to use model changers for stages, just characters, just a case scenario cause i had the thought of making a Godzilla psa earlier

I apologize for not much progress lately: we had a leak in our house, and it nearly fried my computor and internet conection, plus since schools been out, ive been urged to find a job, plus still trying to wrap my head around the order of events in psa, also as far as my brawl projects go:

Ty im stuck with over toonlink, cause i found that i cant use a tether move over diddy, so i do plan to make a beta of him, with my current model, i plan to do:
-Ground attacks
-air attacks
-possibley smash attacks

The special attacks i will save for when i get a new model, i will also do his 2 planned final smashes on the first page

I do agree with ivysaur for the model, but i want to try it over yoshi first, mainly cause their arnt many good characters over him( without rels or codes)

As for spyro himself, i plan to use the model and base the moveset from dawn of the dragon,but if you like me to make a classic spyro psa, i might, depending on how the first one turns out,if not, then i will add in classic spyro for an alternate costume for my currently planned one

i do apologize for my absence, i just wanted to come back and say I'm not dead, my den has been renovated, and we had to move my computer, so i haven't been able to get back to brawl hacking for a long while, its been a busy summer for my family, but once its back, i will get back to it.

as for ty, i do plan to do just a beta version involving his ground,air, and possibly smash attacks, until i can wrap my head around coding the special moves, and final smash, still need tutorials on a pseudo glide for ty and spyro.

so bottom line: not dead, still in for this, i do plan to do these projects, just not sure how...yet

just a quick little update:

my computer is still in storage, my house is still under renovation and my brawl hacking car rear kinda got killed before it could take flight...also i recently got a copy of smash bros for wii u and the console itself, been playing the crap out of it since then..im sure people will eventually move into hacking the new one, so as for me, I'm done with brawl hacking...for now, i might come back, depending on what happens latter in future events and stuff... but hopefully i can get into hacking the new one sometime as well.
