If this is going to be a sibling rivalry then you need to shine light on the actual siblings. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi need to be grown up a bit. Not too old but not too young. Maybe in their teen years? Baby Peach & Daisy also exist. Bowser Jr. Is a MUST HAVE! If Bowser Jr. isn't included in this I will cry tears of solid metal. Also, you should shine light more on Bowser's siblings. Maybe have a poll to decide which siblings will join them, you know?

Also for Toad, might I suggest grabbing the Toadsworth skin and kind of making him look younger? It could represent an adult toad of some sort.

Alright now for LoZ. I think you should include not younger kids, but kids who never got their shine from those series. Maybe Saria could come in some how. Also maybe make a new Geurdo(Guerdo..I don't remember) child as the main antagonist on the LoZ side. If I were you(you don't have to do this but just saying) I would include Skull Kid on this one. Kind of as a more wiser, more refined Skull Kid. Most likely around the same size but with older looking threads to show he's aged.

For Link Jr. Just do OOT Link or maybe Melee Link as a reference. Maybe include a more older looking Link with Young Link or "Link Jr." as his son or something. Of course Linkara still exist. So maybe what I might suggest is making Link Jr. More magic based since his sister is more melee based. It would be an interesting spin of siblings. All Link wanted was for his son to be the hero of time but he wants to study magical arts like his mother and vice versa for Linkara.

I love the Smash Siblings episodes.  They're so funny!

And Shadow Queen looks amazing.  Are you going to make any physical changes to her hair too?  It might not work, as she wears the neck-cape thingy.

Kyle uses magic?  PERFECT.  I've always wanted another magic user in the Smash Games.  There's pretty much only Zelda... and... Zelda.  Lucas and Ness have PSI abilities, but I think that has to do with psychic powers.

As for hair changes, I was thinking about an entirely new design for her.  Not too extravagant, but too make her look torn after multiple defeats.

I was thinking you could make her dress a bit shorter, and torn (have holes) in some areas of the lower half of the dress.  Maybe remove ALL parts of the cape, and let her hair flow down like Peach's?

Aha, Peaches Dress, I had that happen once while editing Rosalina's dress.
Took me awhile to fix it, but I finally got it to work.
And if I am not mistaken, if Tyshi asks for my assistance, I can help her the same.

l0l. When editing my Dark/Shadow Rosalina model, I had the bottom trim do this exact thing.
