Hyrule Brawlers

-What is Hyrule Brawlers?

Hyrule Brawlers is Brawl, with a Zelda facelift. Hyrule Brawlers is to Brawl as Hyrule Warriors is to Dynasty Warriors.

Music, UI, Stages, Items, and of course, Characters, will be Zeldarized.

-I feel like I've heard this before

You are correct, there was a previous project called 'Super Smash Bros: Triforce', that project however has been abandoned.

-Why hasn't this been done before?

I think the best reason is that the large majority of Zelda hacks are over three characters:

Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda/Sheikh (alright, maybe 4 characters).

You can see why in previous times this didn't work out.

However, with the advent of BrawlEX, this no longer is a problem. We can finally have Ganondorf, Demise, and Groose (or Zelda, Midna, and Impa) as three separate characters and more exciting, three separate animations.

-So, what are you going to do?

Unfortunately pretty much organize the hacks. I'm terrible at modeling (not that my computer can handle it anyway), I never could get the hang of it. Texturing and Music make though, I can handle that.

-I want to help!

Please do! Suggest any hacks I might have missed or any ideas I haven't had. Or make Zelda hacks.

-How many Twilight stages/Links will there be?

Not too many :|

Probably 4 Links at most (Link, Toon, Wolf, 4 swords thing). I'm debating Young Link.

Skull Kid will definitely be a character.

The only way I can see that happening is with cBliss, and I'm unfamiliar if cBliss can be limited to only certain characters (I don't feel like making alt costumes for everyone, but it would be good to have alt costumes of say Link), or if cBliss requires all characters.

Or I guess I suppose I could just loop the costumes to make it appear like it has less.....

I'll be updating the chart to use the 'Brawl Hack Chart Extended', and then I'll look into cBliss.

Dont need cBliss, BrawlEx can change normal character costume slots,

Hmm, it appears it can. I'll look into that once I get BrawlEX working for something else. Or maybe sooner. Thanks!

Also, new database file that everyone can comment on directly, feel free to comment song choices or what not. See first post for link.

Wow, I just realized how completely useless the doc with the project progress was (see first post). It's now usable, please comment with any suggestions.

If you see something that needs to be done, or something you want in it, just make it!

I stared at "AU-type" and I have no idea what that means lol. I'm guessing custom made. Why not? I'll add it if it's decent.

A.U. refers to alternate universe. For example, we see no indication of Agitha ever having any form of fighting ability; she's a creepy bug fanatic. Yet, in Hyrule Warriors, she seems to kick ass with bug-based attacks. It makes some sense, but it's obviously not in the main Zelda timeline.
That being said, I'll send you a PM with what I've done in this vein.

I can do minor texture edits, recolors, snapshots, beta testing, and suggest characters that would be popular and/or cool, but I dunno if you need any of those skills.

Ok, I'm starting work on him; you want his eyes to be of the recolors, and his face to not be affected, right? Also, would you like the plasma parts(The light-blue glowy parts) a different color than the recolors?

Er, you should be recoloring the 'Helmet' version. The helmet as a whole has no change at all.

The plasma parts just make white with the 'tint' of the color, as shown by:

Ok, my OCD just acted up. I notice for the CSPs you duplicated the layers and then just edited layer 2, for the first CSP could you duplicate the layer with however much transparency so they all look about the same? The original CSP lacks the 'outline' the others have. No need to upload the whole thing, just add it as a preview pic.

Hi my name is Nicholas Pultorak, however you may call me Victor Hale or FGUG2021. I have been working extremely hard to make a Recolor Texture Pack and PSA/Moveset of Link. It's kinda like Beta Link Restoration as I am hoping to see someone create a moveset that looks like this:
