Title: What is the difference between all the modding types?
Post by: windhunter7 on September 08, 2014, 04:44:08 PM
I was just curious; everyone says that Project M, Brawl Minus, Brawl Plus, Hackless Brawl, and any other types are different; I'm curious what the difference is, since I don't seem to run into any issues when using Project M or normal Brawl models for my characters. So what's the difference with all of these types?

They are all mods of the Hackless version, and tend to change the overall gameplay. Project M, the most popular one, changes it's mechanics to be more closer to Melee. Brawl Plus as far as I know is a mod that balances Brawl, and removes tripping. Brawl Minus essentially balances the characters by making them all broken. You'd have to play them yourself if you wanna get into further detail.

So, from my understanding of what you said, those are just codes that are different for each mode, so models and textures and such would work for any of those modes, right?

Textures and Model imports shouldn't affect the overall gameplay. PSA mods would also have no affect for the most part, but I can't help but feel that something weird may happen...

Ty for explaining this to me; now I know one more thing about Brawl that I didn't know about before! :D

If you're gonna add a mod to a pre-made pack you'll have to adjust your SD card to a certain degree. The bigger the pack the more adjusting you need to do.

PSA mods will not work with PM, in general.
