I adjusted his range and heavily edited his sword glow to match his Smash 4 glow. Thank heavens for the new BrawlBox:

It's really a model from jrush's Cloud Dissidia PSA. I modded the Sword heavily on both models. And added the sword on his back too. For now, both are the only stable models.

I have the animations for the aerials and down smash if you want those

Edit: love the work so far I you need any costume ideas do the infantry man cloud and the kingdom hearts as green and red costumes the ff7 costum should be a blue costume and advent children cloud should be his default or a blaack costume

Looks awesome :o I hope he'll have his KH costume as an option as that's my fav version of Cloud and was kinda bummed to not see it in Sm4sh. I main Cloud so if you need playtesters, I am available. Tough, one thing's for sure, as soon as you release this, I'll IMMEDIATLY add it onto my build.

Also quick question, do you have plans for a BrawlEx version of him? By that I mean, will you make it possible for him to have his own soundbank like over a boss or something?

Dudes, I just found this thread and I am VERY impressed of what it's looking like! We needed a Smash 4 Cloud moveset for Brawl/PM! I wish I had people like you on my team, because you people are very talented at this and much better than I am on modding. (One can dream) That being said, I'm here if you need help with anything, I'd like to support this any way that I can! How are things going with clouds final smash need any help

Ok so I just got the test build late last night and I have been playing all moring and here are my thoughts
let's start with the animations tweaks.
1)the animations for the first air side B has a bit of a problem with the left arm going to far back
2)the entry animation needs to be fixed up the sword looks really silly ingame. Same goes for one the victory animation
3)down tilt needs to go a bit farther and a bit smoother,
4) the final smash needs to be repositioned to the center
5) the wait animations have feet sliding that needs to be fixed

Now onto balancing. While I feel as though this is perfect for vanilla brawl, in Project M how ever there are a couple things that need to be tweaked
1)up tilt need to have a earlier time to interrupt maybe atleast 2-3 frames earlier
2)the same can be said for down tilt along with the animation changes
3)add a bit of up ward momentum to cloud's cross slash like melee Marth side special
4)you should allow up throw to be canceled earlier
5)limit cross slash and finishing touch should switch properties cause to me limit cross slash is better the finishing touch and that is supposed to be clouds most powerful move

And lastly GFX changes.
1) the up tilt trail should start at frame 4
2) the Up b trail for the second part should start at frame 11 or 12
3)when cloud is in limit mode maybe add in some aura to his body or look into tabuu GFX

I can do the balancing and GFX edits for you If you want but I have no Idea on how to animate.

aside from those changes when your are done I would love to make a version of the moveset that is balanced for Brawl minus Zeus at some point with your permission.

And lastly I would like to request that you add cloud's dissidia doudecim outfit (this version http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/1/18/Cloud-ThirdEXMode.png/revision/latest?cb=20111011040438 (http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/1/18/Cloud-ThirdEXMode.png/revision/latest?cb=20111011040438)   with the ultima weapon as his sword.) please?

Ok did some further play testing today and I noticed the first hit of air cross slash is actually a very strong meteor causing the other 2 hits to very rarely connect.

Cloud's been gong smoothly, and has a new sword trail, as well.

Okay, after a few hours of play testing, i have a conclusive analysis of the Sm4sh Cloud.

First off, i love the devotion to the replication of a moveset. I found some issues, but i'll discuss those in a minute.

The character is EXTREMELY fluid, it feels extremely different than what i remember (mind you, i haven't played Smash4 in forever.)

Okay, i'm going to touch on the animations.
I feel the taunt, and winning animations are really stiff and awkard.
I had a hard time discerning any actual combat based animations, they seemed perfectly fine as far as i could tell.

Oh lord, is cloud a monster, i decided to import him into my current BrawlEX build. and fight off against some PM characters. Cloud is really fast, and agile. with his variety of multi hit moves, he is extremely punishing.
The main problem i think the character has, is mostly End lag, he has decent start up lag, but his end lag is so minimal, to the point where i can finish off a move, then immedietely go into my next move. i was able to hold people down in spots. But this was mostly pertinent with his smashes, rather than his specials.
his specials actually, are perfectly fine, well in start up and end lag zones. one of his specials is extremely confusing.

Now, to report on an error. the Down Special does not work that well.
I would go into Down special, and wait for an enemy to hit me with ANY move. the moment i was hit, i got full charge, and could dish out some EVIL justice. but, it wasn't always guaranteed either. most of the time, if the enemy hit me, the counter would reset, i think. I'm not sure how this move is supposed to work. i mean, i understand what it's supposed to do, but i'm not sure how it's actually working under the hood. either way, it doesn't work as i think it's supposed to.

Onto the moveset visuals.
I enjoyed most of the visuals that the moveset had to offer, the flowing bright green sword trail. how you got the Cross Slash working. (although i wish it could visual look better, but 64x64. you are quite limited.)

On all of the moves, the Down-B's visuals look... squished, rather than being a rectangle,  it's forcing itself to be a square. (again 64x64) Couldn't you make it more rectanglish to get that FF7 ui feel down much better? not sure what the appropriate would be i'm pretty sure you could 64x32. also while poking through your PSAs texture files, to see how you did things. your Excitebike 0, is the only one where you have translucent background. on the rest of them, you left the edges with black spots.

Now onto some suggestions.
I think cloud's damage is perfectly fine. i find his End lag to be a problem, and the Down Special is proving quite difficult. now i think he moves perfectly well, his recovery is just fine. I don't know if he's supposed to be this much of a damage out put monster or not, it may what he is in Smash4, but i was able to decimate a lot of people. but he is quite easy to use, and is extremely fun.

Also, bring Kingdom Hearts 1, and Kingdom Hearts 2. Cloud Costumes, i prefer Kingdom Hearts 1 more, but i think a KH2 would be appreciated by others. Maybe work on some of the stiff/akward animations. so far it's an amazing start and i definitely can't wait for the final product.

Cloud's pac. file has been pretty big, so I was trying to keep it under 500 KB, in case. I found a new Cross Slash graphic recently, too.

One of the users is currently working on them, so I'm currently waiting for those to come out.

Also, thanks for the suggestions and critique, guys. Most of these issues should be very easy to fix before release.

zeus if your trying to lower file size I would suggest re animated any ported animations cause the animation files also factor into how much file size a character can take this will be important to take note of if you decide to use the smash 4 models

Here's my story. I play Sm4sh Cloud a lot, so I see the differences very clearly. Here are the noticeable ones.

Before I begin, I tested this on PM Legacy XP beta 2.0
I had to replace Ike to use Cloud and make a new wbsf file again. Was I supposed to replace Ike? Idk how to actually add Clpud but to be fair, I used a mod of Project M (Legacy XP).

I saw all the hitboxes in Training mode when I tested this way

-Harder to spam short hop auto cancel up air

-Hard to spam fullhop autocancel down air.
They both still autocancel though

-I think fair and dair don't spike. Though to be fair they both just straight up kill

-Upsmash x3 into a couple of up airs is still dumb

-Fsmash and dsmash kept respective power

-If opponent hits him while charging limit, limit is either reset or instantly charged. You already recognized this though.

-No way to stop an aerial limit charge unless interrupted, charge completes, or you land. You're screwed if you initiate it offstage. Plus you glide in the air as you do so.

-Different limit charge animation, no sound but it's a test build

-Limit blade beam only does 8 damage and decent semispike-ish knockback

-Limit cross slash does 20 and retains the relative power of the sm4sh counterpart.

-Finishing touch has quite a bit more horizontal reach. Bigger tornado

-Limit climhazzard goes really high, probably too high. Bottom blast zone to still above final destination high.

-Cross slash in general looks kinda bad. You addressed this though.

-Blade beam is a windbox at point blank. Starts to actually be a beam after close range.

This is pretty off track if you're trying to port Sm4sh Cloud 1:1, but if you're balancing him for these different smash games, I understand why there were a few changes

zeus if your trying to lower file size I would suggest re animated any ported animations cause the animation files also factor into how much file size a character can take this will be important to take note of if you decide to use the smash 4 models

I think I see your point there. I'll try to get the MotionEtc down to 3,500 KB or something like it in case.

A lot of my complaints with this PSA have already been brought up, but I did notice a few things that no one else has seemed to mention.

Firstly, Limit Break stuff. I noticed that Cloud doesn't gain Limit from dealing damage. In Smash 4, Cloud gains limit once he deals 250% damage. This is super easy to do in PSA once you know what you're doing; you just have to use the "If Hitbox Connects" requirement on the SFX or GFX tabs and then have it add to whatever variable controls limit. I didn't test if Cloud gains Limit from taking damage, though there is a variable that controls damage taken. I also noticed that Limit Break persists after death, which should not be the case. Even though the meter appears to be empty if you're hit out of Limit Charge or die, the charge is stored. It's a graphical error, but it makes Cloud so much harder to play.

Secondly, Climhazzard doesn't work like the Smash 4 version at all. If this isn't meant to be a 1-1 port, than it's kind of okay, but the move goes lower than it's supposed to, and Cloud can grab the ledge at any point during the downward slash. In Smash 4, Cloud can only grab the ledge after he falls back to his starting point.

Lastly, up smash's hitbox is incorrect. If your opponent stands on one of the platforms on battlefield and then Cloud uses up smash, it does nothing. In Smash 4, the move lasts until the sword reaches behind Cloud's head, but here it only seems to connect during the swing itself. The sword trail still persists, so it even looks like the move should connect, but it doesn't.

Overall, this is a good start, but it's far from finished IMO.

I really hope this mod doesn't just vanish and get dropped like some other really cool mods.
I'd like to make a PM compatible version of this mod when it released. I'm just assuming it's for brawl only, but I know how to make Brawl characters PM compatible. I don't know if this makes me more trustable or something, but I'm a Smash 2, Legacy XP and PMEX dev. I also mod Smash 4, and play Smash 4 competitively. I also got a lot of experience for competitive PM now so there's that.

1)sorry I could not get you the win1 and win2 animations before release, lately a lot of unexpected personal events poped up on me I'll get them to you asap

2) as for brawl minus versions I'll will actually make 2 versions, one for brawl minus 4.0bc and one for brawl minus ZeusEx

As someone who has silently checked up on this project every so often, I have to say that the progress you have made is astounding. This is easily among the most impressive custom PSAs that I've ever seen and I've had a blast playing around with it since its release.

On behalf of everyone who has and will play with this, thank you for all of the time and effort you put into recreating Cloud and congratulations on getting this project completed and released.

Currently I have a custom PSA that is combined with at least a couple of the most popular Cloud PSA's and now I'm trying to switch to this PSA.

I may keep the one I have already with combinations and animations from the beta of this PSA.
As of now I'm working working on balancing hitboxes for this PSA. Hopefully I'll enjoy this moveset.

I pretty much understand this, though once I get a better computer, I may try porting some animations too, though only when things get worse. In this case, AttackAirHi.

I've been following this thread closely and this is an amazing mod, but some animations can bee a little "janky" like bair that destroys Cloud's arms (this could be a problem with the models), up and down smash look good but at the end of the animation Cloud snaps quickly to his idle, looking very weird, not to disrespect you of course, i just have noticed this.
I think RED NiNjA's Cloud of the few animations made, some feel a bit more accurate and fluid like dair and uair, but maybe using those animations is out of the question. The other ones custom made by you like his tilts are solid.

Overall though, this mod is so much fun, congratulations on finishing and releasing a lot of work put into it. I'll be looking forward for updates.

Why does Cloud sometimes have Limit at the start of a game and sometimes he doesn't ? F-Air throws up instead of down and when holding Up-B with Limit you can float around. But besides that, I haven't found anything to criticise. Pretty good work!

You mean the trophy tossing stuff? If so, then yeah, I thought the Smash Throw animations took up much space, so they were deleted temporarily.

Hopefully you are able to fix Cloud's Limit soon. And what about the floaty UP-B ? Any ideas already? I think thats a bigger problem then with the Limit.

P.S.: One small thing to mention; the down-smash moves Cloud slightly backwards.

I just found another glitch. When King Dedede sucks Cloud in from close range, (god damnit it sounds so wrong) King Dedede freezes and Cloud vanishes. Doesn't happen with Kirby tho.

Hey, i love this PSA you guys did an amazing job with it! It feels almost exactly like Sm4sh Cloud. Though there are some bugs I've noticed, sorry if they were already reported:
Entrance: Sometimes Cloud will have Limit Charge when entering
Dash Attack: Sometimes moves characters it hits to Cloud's center
Aerial Neutral-B: Hitboxes are off
Limit Charge Up-B: Holding B afterwards will cause Cloud to float in the air, he falls normally when B is released
Aerial Down-B: If you activate Limit Charge you lose all vertical momentum

This is probably a noob question, but is this mod supposed to replace Ike or add Cloud as a separate character. I downloaded the files and didn't see any css, or Brawlex config files so the former was my first assumption.

I actually don't know much about that, to be honest, which is why I had someone else help me out. I wasn't able to do so because I'm using USB to mod, and it doesn't work very well. However, there is a tutorial to doing so, which is BrawlEx.

I've placed Cloud over Ike just to test him out. Works fine except for his jab. Only if I hit someone will I sometimes be able to get the second hit of the jab to work. I cannot get the third jab hit to start. Seems to be an awful lot of input lag.

I was trying to put this cloud on smash bros infinite 3.0 and every time I try to play with four people it doesn't work it works on training but not on 4 player smash?

I haven't encountered this issue, actually...it must have something to do with the pack, because it might be glitchy, otherwise it could be filesize issues.

Using the PM BrawlEx version now and the only major glitch I can find is that if Cloud does his B+Up with limit fully charged, he can hover in mid air as long as you hold B+Up

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet but Clouds Model gets all wonky when the "GAME" appears once match ends. It only happens when the game slows down for the slight few seconds. You'll notice this more when someone grabs a Slow Timer item against him. Other than that, this Project turned out great!

I think this is due to some of his ported animations. It happens with any model. These might have to be re-ported in order for animations to be balanced in slow-mo.
