You've seen it float around before probably, but with the famous new texture deployment of Baby Mario at Elite Smash Hackers, we had our own giant project develop. Young Link has an incredibly large fan base, and we're no different from the rest of them. Who MADE this Epic-Winning-Pwnage-ness? This was a complete joint project between myself (Jack H.) and Zephron; - Zephron created the Young Link replica texture, as well as performed EVERY beta test. I worked the code behind the madness, and performed voice alterations, as well as item removal for certain "adult link only" elements of his body. A: It's quite simple (to explain, not to perform) We modified certain parts of his body to be enlarged and shrunken. His shield is the exact same size as Adult Link's, naturally. Those two "pouches" on Link's rear end have been removed to further replicate the actual young link. Chopped his side-burns in half, shrank his hat, modified his eyes and over-all look to be more 'young-link'-ish, as well as a LOT of other things. Q: Wait, you modified his voice? A: While character voices aren't replaceable, we performed the next best thing and raised the pitch for Link. (NOTE: This raises the pitch for all "Player 1" selected Characters. @Kirblord23You need to both add the codes to your RSBE01.gct file, and add the texture to your wii. It's impossible to add a texture simply by adding codes. @Pik The colors were saturated in Melee, and I figured he'd look too much like Link if his colors weren't saturated. So I decided to keep em' like that. Thanks. I wish I could change the eyes more but with Link's eyes, you can't really edit the size or shape. So I edited other parts of his face, like his eyebrows. The voice pitch modifier code set to player 4 doesn't seem to work for me. :( If it matters, I'm using the File Patch Code v3.5.1 code, the 2 must be on codes, Unrestricted Camera code and the Partial Size Modification and the Voice Pitch Modifier codes set to player 4.
